Great TV- good Black levels and easy to use. Great picture

Picked up a new Xbox one S console and needed a new 4K TV to go along with it. Coming from an original Samsung Plasma (720P) that still works I was a little skeptical about the black levels of every other TV. After doing extensive research it was between the 900E and the C7 OLED. While the black levels are a little better on the C7 but it was no where near as bright. The POP of the colors after some calibration along with the almost perfect black levels made this an easy choice. The ability to change the motion on the TV was a huge advantage. Loving this new setup. Games on the Xbox look amazing and I honestly cant see how this could get any better!!! Good job Sony!!!!

This tv has a great picture. Not that great for gaming, as I found out it has the possibility of blacking out when switching.

First let me say we are very pleased with the Sony. I researched 4k televisions for about a month before choosing this one. I'll start with my only complaint: The description stated there was a composite cable input. There is not, only component. It would appear that what is described as a composite video input is in fact a yellow input you would find running from a video camera. I use the composite for my security camera system, so now i have no way to view the footage on my television. Now the good. Outstanding picture, I mean unbelievable. I went from a 50" plasma to this and wow, what a difference. The darks, the brights, the colors, the clarity, all beautiful. I've seen some complaints about the sound, but I've found that to be true for most flat screens. It's fine for watching television, and for movies we just turn on the surround sound. The remote is well designed and I love how it has buttons to switch from regular TV to Netflix etc. With my Xbox I can tell a drastic difference when playing with the textures and clarity. Overall while I choked at paying $1000 for a television, I couldn't be more pleased.

I was on the fence between this tv and a samsung 8500 series tv. After watching hours of reviews and visiting Best Buy stores to look at the tvs in person, it all came down to the center base being the ultimate deciding factor. I would give the tv a 4.5 instead of a 5 if I could. The android tv smart features are not the greatest. Let's be honest most people these days are using a PS4, Xbox one, Apple TV etc and with those supporting 4k you don't even need to use the smart tv apps. For the small few who might not have those devices the apps on the tv aren't completely useless. Overall I can't recommend this tv enough. The picture and brightness are amazing! You will not regret it!

Should have done this sooner. Very easy to set, connected to my WiFi with no problem. It turns on my surround and Direct tv. The picture is impressive, it makes you feel like your there.

I have an earlier version of this TV in my family room, which i was please with. This one is in my bedroom. Andriod TV is nice, apps all work, and picture quality is great. blacks are very good.

I've been waiting years for the 4k TVs to get to a place technologically that they would rock with my MacBook Pro and other systems. There are a bunch of lists out there detailing out what 4k TVs can do the job and this one lands in the top 5 or so on the list. Not insanely expensive and has the chroma 4.4.4. you need to be able to comfortably read text. Obviously, it's insane for gaming on both PC and PS4 Pro so you got that going for ya as well. HDR it's great as well and the games detect it if you have it on so don't trip if the settings seem confusing. Turn it on and there you go. Remote has a lot of buttons but it's interface is super easy and you won't likely use most it.

Got this Sony TV only a couple of months ago. I love the size . It has a Great Picture. I need one more TV, I may be back.

The 4k is great and the sound even better. I recommend the TV to anyone that wants an excellent TV at an excellent price!

Love the picture and voice activated remote. I'm used to navigating the Roku and am now learning to navigate Chromecast.

The picture on the TV is excellent. The hookup is simple. Sound quality is very good. Just some information. Your cable service has alot to do with the quality of the picture you get.

Unmatched picture quality and optimal dimensions. Setup procedures need tweaked including the method to getting to them.

I have had this tv for almost a month now and it hasn't disappointed. Being a LCD, I was worried about the colors, and the colors are vivid and the blacks are extremely dark. Great 4K HDR tv!

I researched a number of sets to replace my old, non-HDR 4K TV set. This got great reviews, a member of my family had one, and I was impressed. I'm very happy with the purchase, so far. Also, let's face it -- while other manufacturers are putting their stands out on the outer edges of their displays, Sony has remained sane and puts the stand in the middle of the panel. I WOULD HAVE HAD TO PURCHASE A BIGGER STAND in order to use almost any other set that competes with this one. I know, not an issue for the folks who use wall mounts, but it sure makes a difference for me. But in the end, it's the image quality that really made this worth buying, for me.

This tv has a gorgeous picture and works well with the ps4 pro if you are looking for low input lag and no judder this a the TV for you. I also stream playstation vue for tv operates smoothly.

Great picture Quality, No picture lagging, instantaneous response when switching applications. Easy to use, love the ergonomics of the remote. Very sleek design, even on the stand.

This TV has a great picture quality and refresh rate. The screen is plenty bright or somewhat Sunny room. My only nitpicky complaint is that the TV is slow switching between inputs

So my husband was itching for a television. We had gone to Walmart and purchased one and returned it the same day he purchased this SONY 4K ULTRA HD TV. When I tell you that I try and watch my shows on it, I cannot because my husband comes right in and changes the channel. Absolutely in love!!!

We bought the xbr55x900e to replace a damaged xbr49x800e, going up in size and model. Although we're still experimenting with some settings (motion, contrast, etc.) to get the best picture for the various inputs so far the picture is excellent, with great blacks, brightness and good colors, especially on the Cinema Home setting (be sure and set on 4K mastering for best up scaling) we use for Blue Ray. Motion settings are a bit different than the x800 so still working on those. Overall so far we're really pleased with our purchase and recommend to anyone looking for an upper mid range TV, especially with the end of model year price reductions.
