Great picture, but some nits. The corners show a bit of darkening and at the edges. When turning on the TV, the very top quarter of the backlight comes on about 2-3 seconds after the bottom three quarters, which is disconcerting. Pressing the power button on the remote to turn off the TV occasionally results in a hard reboot, which results in the TV coming back on a few minutes later... long after you've crawled into bed. So... overall a nice picture with great video processing, but with user interface issues that never should have made it to market.

Tv seems great! Fair price for the size. Can't wait to see a clearer picture! Set up was easy. If you have an Android phone or tablet, you can sync those devices to the tv. So far, so good! I was going to purchase a Samsung, as Sony has kind of gone down in quality over the years, but I needed this specific size tv and the price was nice.

Our old LG 50" tv died unexpectedly. Went to Best Buy and had a fantastic salesman. He reviewed our needs (wife has poor vision) and introduced us to several choices, citing advantages/disadvantages. We chose the Sony and are extremely pleased. It is a real improvement and has made our tv viewing enjoyable. Thank you, Best But!

I purchased this TV back in April and I am still amazed every time I turn it on. The price point is perfect for the quality. I also have the 65In and if I had to pick I would go with the 65In......of course. I recently watched Logan in 4K and it was awesome. Xbox One S gaming on this thing is great as well. Would HIGHLY recommend this rig.

Do what we did, engage a Best Buy associate, describe your viewing habits, the room where the device will be located, and your budget...and they will guide you to your best options. For us, the Sony 50" X900E met our budget and exceeded our picture quality expectations.

The Sony x900e is as good as you need with 4K tv's, if you go any higher the return you get for the extra money is negligible.

Mainly got this TV for my PS4 Pro and it is amazing. I bought the 800E but returned it because I wasn't satisfied with the picture quality. The 900E surpassed all my expectations. Picture quality is amazing and gaming is amazing on it as well. Highly recommend this TV.

Good price for excellent picture quality 4KHD with HDR

Upgraded from an older Vizio XVT472 that was starting to show some burn-in(over 8 years old!) and we are very happy with the Sony. The bezels are so thin it hardly takes up more space than the old 47" Vizio. My only gripe so far is that it does not utilize the royalty-free DisplayPort standard(hardly any TVs do) so we are stuck using HDMI. We do not use the smart features as we have a media center PC for these functions. The contrast is leaps and bounds better than our old TV, but we have not really played with any HDR content yet.

After early burnouts with other brands, we are exclusively a Sony TV family. This tv was an expensive investment with all the bells and whistles (wall mount, sound bar, accessories and installation). We are not disappointed. Who needs to go to the theater when we have the theater experience in the comfort of our living room?

We could not be happier with another TV. We paired this with a Sonos playbar and sub. What a great combination! Thanks Sony!

This tv is pretty awesome. Makes my Directv look amazing. Android tv is also great but would like to see more apps available.

This is my first “premium” tv and I can say it’s an amazing experience. This would have been a 4 Star review if Sony wouldn’t have just recently updated my tv to make Netflix HDR content look the way I think it should look. It was this or a Samsung but I went with the Sony because rtings said it had lower input lag for gaming.
