The set-up was easy and she absolutely loves her new 55" Sony TV. The only issue I had is it wasn't able to to connect to HMDI 1 (sat/cat). It would only produce picture with no sound. I moved to HMDI 2 where it worked perfectly. No solution as of yet as to why it won't work on HDMI 1.

Great upgrade from another top of the line Sony

I'm upgrading from a 4 year old XBR-49X800E so the local dimming is also very cool. Oh and the addition of Apple AirPlay is also nice

I like the Android OS it makes it easy to get Apps from the playstore and the Apps load faster as well. My only disappointment is the sound quality, not as good, I guess its one way to get you to buy the soundbars / theatre systems.

Handles slow DSL with aplomb!

Nice sony tv with decent feature and it os is android. The pro excelent tv on the budget with smart feature and 4k hdr and dolby atmos/dts support on external receiver. the con the speaker suck (recommend external soundbar/receiver). Yes I recommend having a second to set this tv up on stand or wall mount.

The Sony IPS panel shines in bright rooms and leaves no person behind with vivid color and picture quality in any seat. So far, this one has performed fine. However, it has a complex remote which requires study before hitting a single button. Since we use this in our bedroom at night, that can be a pain. The sound is great but I am going to get a sound bar for a better sound. I did not realize it had built in Google Cast built into it. I put it on the wall in my living room and it serves its purpose. I would recommend it.

The sound is great, it has a great processor on it, and it has great picture. The only thing I don't like is the Google system. I have not used it before, so I am slowly getting used to it. My first UHD TV and it's fantastic!

I returned it within a week and bought this Sony after researching it more. I couldn't be happier taking the leap into UHD with this Sony, and the sale price made it a no-brainer!
