    Too many issues do your research before purchase

    I bought this T.V back in May been having some problems with the T.V turning off on its own and also Netflix app keeps crashing within 15 minutes watching a movie, tried everything and my internet connection wasn't the problem. I cant return because my 30 days has pass. Contact Sony and its a hassle to even get someone to assist with this issue. Not worth the hassle Sony puts you through.

    Sony going downhill

    Sony seems to be going downhill, because I bought 2 Sony TVs and have had problems with both. With this one in particular I have issues where the remote suddenly is not responsive, the TV freezes up, and it disconnects from the WI-Fi ALL THE TIME. At least once daily I am restarting the TV, which is ridiculous because I've had it less than a year and this TV was SO expensive. Sony's customer service is now outsourced too to India or Phillipines so trying to communicate with anybody is such a pain.

    By far the worst TV purchase I’ve ever made. I’ve had this a year and contemplating whether to just purchase a completely different tv. It is constantly disconnecting from wifi, always giving error messages when trying to download apps, everything is a process with this thing. Constantly have to unplug and plug back in. I had high hopes for this Sony TV, but I’m highly disappointed. Would never recommend this product to anybody.

    TV Damaged UPON DELIVERY

    Ordered this in December during a special was remolding my house so wasn’t able to open it until may, the legs were missing and the remote and the screen was damaged and I called several times and the agents (angel) was the name given was extremely rude and was unwilling to exchange or offer any help and told me I have to keep broken product

    All I wanted was a tv

    It took the 5th time to finally get a tv. The week before after 3 cancellations the tv when plugged in was broken. The Geek squad charge I should be refunded and $1,000.00 in compensation for the horrible treatment and incompetency of Best Buy. Do not think I will ever go there again, and everyone I know has been told about my experience and they cannot believe my story.

    Open box tv wanted a new tv.

    I am very upset. Maplewood store gave us a open box Sony. Cant talk with the store. Getting no help from the national line. Except they told us to bring the tv back or mail it back. Do they know what it takes to repack a 55". We wanted a new tv not open boxed. Can anyone help me get in touch with Dave or the manager? Thanks so much.

    Basic entry level tv. I had a Panasonic plasma for years and it died on me. I bought this because of the price and was extremely disappointed with the quality. I ended up returning it and getting a samsung Q900.

    Software in the TV ruins the Tv

    Software in the TV crashes alaways. I cant watch Netflix the tv exits and goes back to the home screen. The Tv is good the siftware ruins the TV.

    Flashes Green Sony Refuses to Fix

    Sony smart TV—less than so-so!

    Functioned fine for about 2 years. (Purchased in 2021.) Third year it started acting up. TV freezes up and no matter what function you’re using, you can’t use the remote control to operate the system. You have to unplug the TV to reset it. Also, have had problems installing apps like Apple+ and Max. Then, after successfully installing after several tries, these two apps would not function! This smart TV uses GoogleTV as its operating system and the experience was okay the first two years, then after that it was hit or miss with installing apps and getting them to work. Apple+ and Max finally started working after trying several times after the course of about 8 weeks. And the remote stops working randomly even with fresh new batteries. I do not recommend this product. A TV should work properly for at least 5 to 7 years before needing to be replaced. So, I’m not likely to buy another Sony TV. We also bought the 43” version the same year, and have had the same issues with it!

    I bought this television to replace a Samsung AU8000 which made a horrible clicking sound when it was turned off. The Sony was a Google TV and totally integrated with my other Google devices. I'd definitely buy another Sony and that was my last Samsung.
