The quality of its speakers caught me off guard.Doesn't run hot and is overall much better in every way compared to the 480p magnavox i replaced with this. Despite the previous tv setting the bar pretty low my one gripe may be the interface. While it isnt bad, im just used to the ol reliable tcl roku platform. Im personally not used to google tv and I had a conniption trying to make chromecast work to mirror my phone screen as opposed to not needing any kind of setup with other non google tv smart tvs ive used. But thats just me personally. The tv itself looks great. Just not a fan of needing chromecast to mirror my screen.

After turning on the TV for the first time, you'll have the option to choose from Google TV experience or the basic TV experience. The basic TV experience includes live TV as well as external device and limited selection of pre-installed apps.
If you want to take advantage of the 10,000 plus apps available for Google TV, then you want to ensure that you're using the full Google TV experience, movies and TV shows from across your favorite streaming apps, personalized recommendations, Google assistance, search and control your TV using your voice along with the tv and entertainment from external devices, you'll need to select the Google TV experience to get the most out of your new TV.

Awesome Streaming Google T.V.

I was on the hunt for a television that would make it easy for me to transition to more of a streaming service but still have the same features and functions of a normal cable setup. When I stumbled across this T.V., I decided to pull the trigger on it based on the features and functionality. The T.V. itself is great. I got the 55-inch version, and it fits perfectly on the wall with the television mount which I also bought from Best Buy. As soon as I turned it on, it started the setup process to connect to my Google Home system which was seamless and connected almost instantly through each step of the process. Once I had everything set up and connected to my Wi-Fi, I have not seen any lag or any instances of where the T.V. was trying to connect to the internet like some other reviewers have mentioned. The router for my internet is actually placed far away from the television downstairs on the first floor and I still get a good signal strength to the television. I am able to access and watch anything on YouTube as well as YouTube TV which I have a paid subscription for. I also added an Amazon Firestick Max to the back of it since this television has Dolby Sound capabilities, the Firestick Max has been the perfect addition for this television as I have all of my apps in once place and can easily switch between them without much effort. Overall, the television is a great addition to our home and also saves us a ton of money each month versus having old school traditional cable.

I paired this tv with a soundbar to get richer sounds though. Easy to set up. The problem I have is some apps like peacock or hulu lag a little bit when opening. Peacock is notoriously slow on all my devices though so I can't say it's only related to this tv. I just thought it would be smoother for the price I paid for this tv. I've had this tv for about a month and it froze a couple times. The only fix I know is to unplug it and plug it back in. I haven't figured how to link my soundbar to my tv, where it will power on when I power on my tv. My Fire Tv has that option in the settings. All in all a quality tv.

I love the warranty and that the legs are not as wide so it’s able to fit on any size table or stand. Love no issues this far!! Great work! Love the brightness how it sets up with the lighting in the room. Picture quality is almost like I can walk through the screen itself. Addicted to this tv.

I got the 55' and it's perfect for my space. The setup was so easy since I already have Google home account and the picture is great. One of my favorite things is the ambient/ picture backgrounds when it's idle. I'd absolutely recommend from Best buy, They are the best when it comes to service.

We chose the Sony because the picture quality was superior in our opinion. This is our first Smart TV and was very easy to set up. We thought about adding a sound bar but the quality of the speakers are great for our use. If that changes we can always add one easily. We have this sitting on our entertainment center and the stand legs are VERY sturdy. Quite happy with our new Sony.

So I went with the X80K, which has great picture quality! The audio is decent, so I'll get a sound bar. Also, I film in 4k for my channel, so why not watch in 4K HDR too! I'm definitely happy with my new Sony TV and I'm staying with Sony for sure!

My brother bought the version one below this based on his research, reviews etc and he noted there are less ads and I agree with him. It was pretty easy to set up on my own and the picture is great.
