WiFi and audio drops all the time constantly have to restart to troubleshoot it. The black is not dark as was mentioned by sell rep. For the price I paid if I would’ve save $300 more I could’ve got a OLED Instead. This isn’t the best tv I gotten and disappointed with Sony and Best Buy on this one. Moving it to my kids room just so I don’t have to look at it anymore

Bought this TV back in April. Picture is amazing, sound is so-so. Everything worked great...at first. The past month I've had to reset the TV twice to get the apps to work again because they've decided to randomly quit working on both occasions. Firmware shows that it's updated to the latest version. Hoping that Sony has a fix for this.

I currently own two 4k Sony TV models 900F 55” & 65” with excellent picture: color, sharpness. This is my third Sony TV, model 950G 55” which is $100 more expensive than the same size model 900F. but its graphic quality is very poor: no sharpness. I try to adjust in setting but it doesn’t work. Since it is protected with 5 years insurance , I will wait for corona virus go down then ask for Technician help

Having picked up 900F earlier and returning it to wait for new models.I was able to pick up a X950G before they were on display at Best Buy.Having had both models now there are a few improvements that made it worthwhile to me.Picture wise they both have the same great picture.Audio is a definite improvement over 900F.It gets plenty loud for an apartment or small family room. Will always need soundbar if want any bass.New remote and android are big improvements.Having all four 4K inputs was a must for me even if no 2.1.Though I already was aware,I would take off points for little misleading about X wide viewing.55’ does not have it.Also are better deals out there on last years models. But I did not want to have to worry about burn in.So all in all very pleased with the X950G.For me the little improvements were worth it.

    Unacceptable Best Buy/Sony Customer Service

I purchased this TV in October 2019 and had a problem with it shutting off. I called the Geek Squad in February or March and was told that they were not dispatching due to Covid but the technician told me to unplug the TV for a couple of minutes and plug it back in. I did that and it appeared to fix the problem for about a month and the problem appeared again and happened frequently so I continued to unplug for the many months that Best Buy was not dispatching and basically lost the Sony warranty to Covid. The problem continued and got to the point that I had to re-boot it on a daily basis. I contacted Best Buy and was told that the warranty had expired. I explained that I reported the problem while the TV was under warranty, the records should verify that. The TV has now gone out completely. Best Buy and/or Sony needs to correct the situation by repairing or replacing the TV under warranty but refuse to do so.

First of all, I was not told by the Best Buy representative that this is an Android TV. I know nothing about Android. Secondly, the Netflix and Google Play features NEVER worked. I purchased this TV a week ago, played it everyday to become familiar with it, and the features never worked, nor did it ever connect to my wireless router (which was checked several times and is working just fine). There are no instructions on how to troubleshoot the Netflix and Google Play features. When it reattempts to connect, the screen goes black - nothing happens. In the Help menu, the FAQs doesn't work, nor do the other internet links. Do not buy this TV! You will for sure be disappointed if you're expecting all of the features to work! I'm a loyal Samsung customer. I'm so sorry I purchased this TV. Returning it today. Can't wait to get it out of my house because of all of the frustration it's caused. And the quality of the picture certainly isn't worth it!

After getting this tv home and watching it I was very disappointed. I tried to fine tune the picture and just couldn't get the picture to look good. The blacks on this tv are terrible! I had this for a week and tried and tried to adjust the blacks and just couldn't it to look right. I took it back and got a LG OLED C9 55" and love it.

Tv was good for almost exactly 2 years. Now we have a white line that goes from side to side 3 inches from the bottom. I would think a Sony would last more than 2 years...very disappointed. Our last Sony did the same thing but after at least 6 years.

Not a good choice. Blacks are cloudier that my 11 year old 46” Samsung. Colors and brightness are less brilliant than the demonstrator in the “Magnolia” premium viewing area. One of your sales associates showed us several models of each brand Best Buy offers. We narrowed it down to Sony & Samsung. Your demonstrators, between the Qled Samsung and the LED Sony favored the Sony. He then showed us the XBR55A8G. I favored it, but there were none in stock, and our tv at home had failed, so we got our xbr950 for expediency. Big and expensive mistake. I should have spent the extra $700 and waited for delivery of the Top of the Line model. Pretty disappointed ☹️ If I had the option, I’d pay the extra $700.00 & trade it for the 55” premium Sony OLED XBR55A8G.

I should re ty urn this tv. I bought this tv 12/22 and since then the sound has turned off multiple times. I have to unplug it the plug it back in to reset the tv. It happens when I'm using Netflix, Slingtv and Hulu. Anytime I pause, fast forward or rewind the sounds goes off and the pictures fast forward in slow motion. For the price and brand of this tv I expected a lot better.

Don't buy this TV if you want to use headphones

Headphones won't work at all if you use a sound bar. Even if you don't have a sound bar, if you plug in the headphones, it disables the TV speakers. So, it doesn't matter if you have wireless headphones. You have to plug and unplug them every time you use them. The jack is on the side, but on the back of the TV. It's hard to plug in without some extra light from your cell phone or flashlight. I didn't know any TVs worked this way anymore. Headphones are important to me and my wife for our bedroom TV. It's the only way one of us can go to sleep while the other one is watching TV. I'll be looking to exchange this one.
