    Sony X950G is a DUD!!! In all garbage!

    We purchased this TV a week ago, and had installed this last Thursday. It was great at first, but let me elaborate. The picture is super, the sound is super, HOWEVER, the streaming apps are garbage!! So far we have had to suffer through buying a new router, and moved from a 1200 router to the Nighthawk 2100 router, after we were told that this would solve the problem. NO PROBLEM SOLVED! Last night after 15 minutes into an Amazon movie, it started buffering, and froze. So we went to Netflix, would not come up, and then to youtube, would not come up. OK, so, we unplugged TV, and waited for 10 minutes. These streaming services acted like they were OK now. After 5 mins of watching the same movie on Amazon, it froze up again, and so did the others. I did the unplug thing, and no further results!! I AM OUT $90, for the router, and VERY upset with this waste of money, and TV. I have reached out to the Geek squad, and they are coming Tuesday. After much reading, and research, these "smart" TV's are not all what they are cut out to be. I am very angry that this is the way that I am wasting money!

    Not worth the money. Go with Samsung

    Lasted 3.5 years and completely crapped out. Always had consistent problems with this TV the entire time. It would freeze and need a hard reset frequently. Bought it to work "better" with our Sony sound bar and Ps5 and it was definitely not worth the money.

    Audio system makes this a poor TV choice

    I think the picture quality is fine, but the audio system on this TV - whether it's the electronic components or the Android system - is really bad. Quite often (at least several times a week, sometimes several times a day), I have to go through a restart of the Android OS just to get the audio system working. Again, I'm not sure it's the electronic components or the OS, but either way, the audio is terrible.

    Disappointed

    Bought TV in March 2019. 2023 I have RED light Blinking in a 4 pattern sequence and will not stay on. Believe to be the power Board. Not the Quality I expected from Sony and for the money spent. The new TV will not be a Sony, This was my First. Trying to get it fixed is a nightmare.

    HDMI Shuts down TV

    Bought this tv last March 29, 2019. Now anytime I switch to any HDMI device tv screen starts to flicker on the right side and shuts off with red blinking light. After doing some research I found out that red blinking light in the pattern of 4 indicates that's a hardware related issue and will need the repair. The only way to get the tv to even turn on is to do a power reset. The warranty is for one year. So I am out of luck. I bought a Sony product thinking I am buying a quality product but this is making me rethink. My Panasonic TV in the living room over 10 years old with no issues. Common SONY get it together. Very disappointed.

    Just bought this TV today. Can't access HBO Now. Won't let me past the "Privacy Policy" at the bottom--no buttons work at all except for "back". Have tried restarting and hard factory resets. Tried uninstalling and re-installing the app. Didn't help. Other apps work fine but I wouldn't be surprised if they crashed like this on a moment's notice. Spent a lot of money for this TV after a "Magnolia" rep talked us into it. If I'd spent 1/4 of the money on a different "cheaper" TV maybe this would be worth the hassle, but I was talked into spending a lot of money on a "great" TV that is just as cheaply made as the others.

    No manual

    I took delivery of a Sony TV XBR-55x950G around the middle of August. The delivery guys said there was no manual for the TV, but when I checked with Sony they said there WAS ONE. I DID NOT GET ONE! This TV is very hard for someone to use that has not used the Android system. I am very unhappy w2ith the purchase as I was not given full disclosure at purchase and very limited info on use at delivery. I cannot recommend unless this is remedied.
