Excellent TV especially for the Price!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, I'm upgrading from an LG 43 inch (6300 series) and right off the bat going to 60' is a MASSIVE improvement. -Picture quality is great and is even better once you have calibrated the settings. I ALWAYS recommend looking online such as tv forums or rtings.com to properly calibrate your TV and using it to the best of it's ability. -Sound, I haven't tested them out since I knew they were going to be mediocre thus plugged in my speakers. -Smart TV capabilities are limited so I would recommend investing into any device that supports 4K HD streaming Now, onto the stuff that matters to me the most which is 4K movies and Gaming. Gaming, low input, no lag even switching it to HDR mode for HDR enabled PS4 titles. 4K movies look fantastic. Crisp, clear, and the colors are great, but this is obviously relied on the settings.

Great value, 4k but no android tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV has a fantastic picture! It was a good value for a 60 inch 4k, it didn't have android built in, just Netflix & YouTube. You will need a Roku or similar device to get Amazon, Hulu etc. Outstanding picture, the Netflix 4k content looks tremendous!

did my research
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to upgrade my 50" Vizio entry level TV. I started researching which alone can be very time consuming and intimidating. I started with rtings.com as they are the go to website for display reviews. I knew I wanted at least a 55" TV but really wanted to finally upgrade to a 60". Rtings.com had this TV the top rated 60" display at the time of my research. I kept doing my research and couldn’t find a reason not to purchase this, and I am glad I did. I went to my local BB and talked with the sales agent and he said this was a 2017 model but at that time was top of the line. The price is what I couldn’t get past. I can’t ever see myself spending $1000+ for a TV, I just can’t. So I took the dive and got it home and wall mounted it. I was expecting to be blown away...and at first I really wasn’t. So I knew I had to give it time. TV's these days need to be calibrated to the sources you use. So I got the picture calibration dialed in after about a week and wow, I love it (rtings.com has the calibration settings and explanations). I have a DirecTV receiver that can only do 1080i so that might have been my disappointment at first. I connected my Xbox One which does 1080p. Gaming on this thing is sweet. Again, you have to calibrate it to your sources. Sony has built in scene selections for a reason. Then I purchased a Roku Ultra that can be hardwired to your network and can play 4K HDR content. Wow, that was night and day and a fantastic purchase. You need to run your 4K devices on HDMI ports 2 or 3 and you have to make sure you enable the HDR feature on those two ports in the settings because it is not turned on by default. The new AppleTV can do the same thing if that’s your flavor. The other reviews complain about the Smart app features, but frankly, I don’t use those. That is what I have my Xbox and Roku for. The only negative thing I would say is I wish it had 4 HDMI inputs instead of 3. I suggest this TV. If you are looking for something that is not going to break the bank but also give you great picture quality, this is it. I am totally happy! Come on, it’s a Sony Bravia, they have been making these things for years.

Great video, audio not so great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this TV after an inexplicable line appeared on our 3 year old 50-inch Vizio TV and was not able to be fixed. It was the first time we'd ever purchased a TV sight unseen and we hoped for the best while we waited for it to arrive. The picture is very good, with bright colors, rich blacks, and -- most importantly -- beautiful clarity. The remote is decent, but not all the buttons have a clearly labeled function, which sometimes makes it difficult to use. My biggest complaint about this TV, and why I did not give it 5 stars, is the very poor audio quality. The speakers are tinny and need to be turned up to 35-40 to hear many shows. While we have thought about getting a home theater system before, with this TV, it is now a necessity. Others have complained that the screen was dirty both upon receipt and later on. I have not had this problem. Bottom line: If you're looking for your first 4K TV, and you already have (or are going to get) a home theater system or you don't mind tinny sound, this is a great TV. If you're looking for a TV that has outstanding video, this is definitely the TV for you.

Minor Problems but Overall Good TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture quality is good, ease of hook up is very good, I don't play games on it or watch movies, just mainly Netflix and antenna TV. I have had minor problems. What happened was that the TV froze up and had to be unplugged to get it going again. Did this twice the first few days i had it. I was in a bit of a panic, thinking it had a serious problem. It has worked flawlessly though for the past week. I am keeping a close eye on it and I have not thrown the box and packing it came in away, just in case!!! This is the first new TV I have bought in the last 14 years and I really hope it turns out as good as the last one, which still works, just not with 1080p, 4K and all that stuff!

Very crisp and vivid picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is gorgeous! It's the perfect size, because a 65" would have been too big for my apartment. The picture is so crisp and clear, and the colors are vivid. It feels like you're watching everything live, in-person. I wish the app market had more popular apps, though.

You have to buy this TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have only had mid-level 1080p TV's over the years, and this Sony 4K absolutely blew my mind when I finally got it on. I bought it on Black Friday, so I couldn't say I didn't get a good deal. I paid $100 per 10 inches. It's also 12 inches bigger than my old TV, so that itself was a crazy upgrade on its own. Colors in 4K are truly as good as in the store. And the best part is...it has a really smooth picture refresh rate. So life-like and enjoyable to stare at while watching hours of online TV. You gotta get this one if any are left! A+ everything!

Love my new TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this tv. I have been missing out a lot. This looks so bright and rich. Always love sony products. I have been somewhat skeptical of quality lately. My first sony tv bought from the wiz when I was a teen lasted 20 years. All my thee tv in my house now are sony. Putting a 1000 or more on a tv is scary. The sale at best buy helped with that decision. 600 dollars for a big screen sony tv is a no brainer. I just hope it last a while. I purchased the warranty in case. I heard a lot of bad things about sony tv lately.

Not bad for the money.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Black Friday Deal. $599.99, fine for the money, now I'll complain a bit. Seems to be frequent picture lag when using Amazon/Netflix (PS4 and XBox One as a medium). No issues when gaming. Audio quality is FLAAAAAAAAAAT. Prior I had a Samsung 49", I enjoyed running my Klipsch speakers off of with the TV speakers to supplement. On this Sony it seems to only run TV speakers or connected audio systems. Not both. This is quite annoying since these speakers have to be manually adjusted, so I removed my sound system. Trying to research this picture lag, tried all recommended adjustments, and it's better now, but still acts up here or there. I also run Fiber Optic and Cat6 ethernet cords, so I'm confident it's not my internet as this was only an issue on this TV. Bottom-line: Awesome for gaming, sound quality is meh, but not awful, maybe needs tweaking for picture lag. I'm content for the price. Solid in all other aspects. I contemplated returning it until I saw how smooth it was gaming.

Merry Christmas to us!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased our last flat screen TV 6 or 7 years ago. It was an Insignia which has been a great TV and is still going strong. But after buying a smart TV for our bedroom, we decided it would be nice to replace our Insignia with a larger smart TV. We had been watching the sales and when the Sony 60" came up for sale on Black Friday for such a good price we decided we were going to treat ourselves and buy it. It doesn't have quite the sharp picture I had hoped it would have but I really think it's because it's just running off our antenna. But I have to say it's nice having a 60" TV with all the bells and whistles that our 46" TV didn't have. At $599 for a 60" Sony Smart TV , you really can't beat it!

Excellent picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this TV over Black Friday to replace an old Panasonic Plasma, I couldn't be happier, the picture is excellent out of the box. HDR and 4K content look stunning. Although, it is not a smart tv, it does have some apps preinstalled (Amazon, Netflix, Youtube, and other ones). I stream all my content from an Apple TV so not being able to install additional apps is not a big deal to me.

Great image
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the TV on Black Friday, Very easy setup, the built in WiFi adapter is great to connect to the internet. The image is amazing, definitely the best choice for the money - I compared it to similarly prices 4K TV's that were on display next to each other and this Sony definitely has the clearest image of them all. I read some users had an issue with dirty looking screen but i haven't encountered that issue yet. If anything changes i will report back

Excellent TV for the Money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this TV on Black Friday and couldn't be happier with my purchase. The TV has excellent color and clarity even with our 1080p DirecTV signal. I completed the picture setup after doing some online research, and the picture is perfect now. I was able to watch several football games over the weekend, and there was little to no noticeable motion blur. I would highly recommend this TV to anyone looking for a larger screen TV on a budget.

Great Value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this TV set to replace a Sony Xbr plasma I purchase 18 years ago. The set is a good value for a Sony labeled TV set. I currently own Two other Sony’s TVs that are 10 years plus in age and the picture is still stunning. How ever when it come to picture quality it is a 2.5 star. It is definitely not the detail that I am accustomed to for a panel with Sony stamped on it. If you are looking for a large set with a name brand it will satisfy your need, if you are looking for exceptional picture quality you may want to look at the xbr line or an oled set.

great deal for a sony product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just got the TV Black Friday. Had a Sony 40" and worked perfectly for 5 years and will be giving it to my daughter to enjoy hopefully for many years. The new 60" is unbelievable. Great picture like you are there. sound is ok but I already have 5.1 surround system so now I have excellent sound. I read thru 100's of reviews on TV's and saw lots of bad reviews with lines in pictures, pixilated picture after a couple day's. Hard to set up on and on. it took awhile for me to pull the trigger to buy new TV but i'm glad I did. Sony has quality products and I had no problem hooking it up myself with ease. So far it is amazing and have no doubt that will continue.

Sony is an excellent tv to invest in
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The tv itself is of great quality and the picture is extremely sharp and clear. Sound quality is crystal clear and amazing on the surround sound. The features and all the apps that come with it are great, if your looking for a tv built to last that has all the bells and whistles don’t look any further. Sony is an excellent brand that will deliver. My husband and I have stuck with Sony since before we were even married and it has never let either us down then or since we’ve been together which is close to 20 yrs now. Alll our components are Sony as well, and they are built to last....only great things to say about this product for sure....

Major upgrade from 06 tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very happy that I cough this great deal, but more importantly happy that this was not on sale because it's not a good product. It is vary hard for me to justify spending money on myself an it took alout to just open the box, but after spending some time in front of this HDTV I'm happy I did, well worth the money an happy bestbuy is still around so that I can buy my major electric purchase thru them. I know if I should have any problems they will not hesitate to make it right. Online shop is OK, but nothing beats having a person in front of you to point you in the right direction especially when technology changes so quickly.

Great buy and overall great product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was fortunate enough to buy this TV as a Black Friday doorbuster on Thanksgiving night 2017. The combination of price, brand and type of television was too good to pass up. I waited in line 3 hours to pay for it. Well, after installing the set in my dad's living room (an early Christmas present for him), I could see that my efforts were well worth the wait. The picture quality is amazing and the built in YouTube and Netflix apps result in amazing 4K content. My dad waited almost a year to find a proper replacement for his outdated flat screen (non-smart TV) and everyone involved agreed we made the right choice.

Affordable 4K 60' From SONY
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV displays vibrant colors and upscales my 1080p content to make a clear picture. This is a great introductory TV if you are going into 4K for many reasons: The picture on this TV is clear with little angle glare. It is also light, allowing you to mount the TV with ease. The TV has advanced adjustable picture modes, sounds and even content scaling features (ProReality). Great for entry level 4K viewing!

Great picture!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We replaced a 40" tv that was more than 10 years old with this 60" Sony on Black Friday. Some deals are just too good to pass up. Our old set was getting dimmer. The brightness and color on this set just amaze us. Watching a live program or football game is like looking at something we have not seen in our living room. I am surprised that even with a 60" picture, the sharpness and clarity of the picture make us smile. We got a Sony soundbar and are really happy with the added bass from the wireless sub. The bright LED picture and soundbar make watching programs a whole new experience for us.
