Good picture
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The pictures is better than HDTV, the refresh rate is good, but I am not running any games through the TV. The viewing angle is good, as you can see the colors and pictures from close to 180 degress. The only complaint so far is the speakers, you have to have them up to nearly halfway to hear from across the room.... there is NO bass or anything good that would make an action movie sound good. You need a soundbar or a receiver system for sure.

Excellent Picture
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV was delivered on 11/26. Set-up was very easy. Great picture!!!! Still learning how to use all of the features/options. It is nice that I can switch from Netflix to regular TV program with a push of a button. Thinking about adding a sound bar.

Sony 60" LED-X690E - Blinking Red Lights Xs 6
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Has nice picture! Apps are limited, can't install/add apps. TV starting taking awhile to come on after a few years. Currently has red blinking light (blinks 6 times), doesn't come on (black screen) and is not responding to factory reset.

Not bad tv could be better
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV is not bad but could be better. it has good quality picture. What I don't like about is brightness, remote, only has few apps to use and can't receive 5G wifi. If you bought it on Black Friday you got great tv for what you paid. If not than you can buy something better for same price.

Don't waste your money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our Samsung LNT52 died after 10 year (so much for 20!). Nothing in the Samsung range looked good enough for the money not to mention the failure mode of the Samsung was from a known issue that Samsung never did anything about. We were lucky, most LNT52s failed after a year or 2. Anyway, tried the Sony KD60X690E (60hz native refresh rate) and brought it back after a week. So so picture (kind of dark) AND the worst "judder" I have ever seen, mainly watching Netflix. It's an issue with film at 24 fps coming over a 60hz app. You could somewhat minimize it but then the Soap Opera effect was awful. Ended up spending the extra money and getting the XBR-65X850E,,,,, night and day difference. If you're ok with the Judder and picture quality of the 690 go buy the Sharp 60 or 65 inch Sharp for hundreds less and a better picture. We recently bought the LC-60P6070U for our vacation home and at $550 it's a much better deal.

Specs are wrong has HDR
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has a very good picture. It could be brighter and even more so when watching HDR shows. On HDR content you have to adjust the black level up to see it good which makes the black too bright. Other than that excellent picture. The smart features are minimal but does have Netflix, Vudu, Amazon and Hulu. Under the Opera it has Plex too but I haven't tried that one out yet. For sure the Sony TVs with the android OS like my mom's are nicer. I bought mine on Super Bowl week so it was 300 bucks off and feel like I got a great deal on a great TV.

Great TV!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this TV a few weeks ago and I love it. You will definitely have to play with the settings to get the picture just the way you want it. I suggest using HDMI 2 or 3 because you can enhance the picture on 2 or 3. My only complaint about the TV would be the remote. When you grab the remote with out looking you can’t tell if your holding it facing the right way. The remote is the same shape all around. But not a big deal (just being picky) but awesome TV for the money!

The TV SPEAKER is hot garbage.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With the acception of the built-in speaker, I am overall satisfied with what I paid for. This the 4th Sony TV I’ve owned and I’ll never buy any other brand. Definitely buy a sound bar for this TV; I repeat, definitely buy a sound bar for this TV. In fact if you are still buying this at $200 off the retail price, definitely use the money saved to purchase a sound bar. Of course, if you’re directly plugging this into a sound system then you’re good to go.

TV went bad in less than three months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased my Sony Bravia KD-55X720E TV on 9/23/2017 and by 11/21/2017 it suddenly would not turn on. The symptoms were that when I pressed the power button on the remote or on the TV the blue colored light on the front bottom of the screen blinked for an instant, the screen stayed black, followed by a blinking red light. I called Geeksquad and spent close to an hour on the phone following their troubleshooting instructions that were: Unplug the TV, wait a few seconds, press the power bottom together with the down arrow on the remote, plug the TV back on. Nothing happened. Then the technician asked me. How many times the red light does blinks? I replied every two to three seconds. Geeksquad technician grew as impatient with me as I was frustrated with my TV and my bad experience. Then he asked me the same question. At that time I had to stay cool and pay close attention to the red light and indeed there was a red light blinking sequence. The red light blinked twice consecutively and then repeated the same sequence after two seconds or so. I told the Geeksquad technician what I saw and he said he would order parts delivered to my house and scheduled a technician to come by my house on 12/1/2017. I am writing this review on 11/23/2017. Therefore, my TV has not been repaired yet. I will update my review after the TV is operational again.

Sony, it used to be a blind purchase
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The whole circuit board qas changes twice within the warranty period. It promptly died 5 years of moderate use after purchase. It was a supposedly smart TV with most of apps missing.

Amazing TV (minor issue)
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV a while ago, as my first 4K TV, and as soon as I started using, I thought it looked incredible. Now, I don't really use this TV for watching movies, only for gaming. However, I have one main issue while gaming. There is a very big amount of input lag between my xbox controller and the TV, making playing videogames extremely difficult. Has anyone else had this problem or fixed it?

Great picture, mediocre sound.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Displays a fantastic picture in full high definition! Refresh rate is great, and the ability to add on additional apps is fantastic. For the class TV, though, the built in speakers provide mediocre sound -- almost tinny, like back in the 1970s. Still, it's a great TV and I strongly recommend it.
