Do Not Buy a Sony TV

Picture is great, has a good selection of features and extras. Now for the reason for the one star review... One day I go to turn on the TV and I am getting no picture but have sound. I see the TV light up but there is no picture as it is not recognizing any of the inputs. For a while, the picture would eventually come on but now the picture will not come on at all. I have done some research on Sony's website and this is an issue affecting many of their models and apparently they are not doing anything about it. Even called Sony support which was a total waste of time. They read through a couple of useless scripts and then told me i was out of luck and ended the call. The only bright spot in this whole ordeal has been Best Buy support. called the Geek Squad number today since I purchased the warranty, the dude that helped me was extremely nice and set me up with a service appointment. Hopefully they can come out and fix the issue or get me a new TV. Bottom line, Sony released a poorly engineered product and seem to have no urgency to fix this issue. Would not recommend this TV or any Sony TV's for that matter.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was told by the best buy staff that the issue was a problem in the older shipments but the newer ones were supposedly fixed by Sony but it was not true. I have edge bleeding in the corners :( If the issue can be fixed I'd give it a better rating and also then would recommend it to a friend. Sony is usually a good and reputable brand, I would have expected them to fix or recall the tvs with the problem and correct it.
