I bought the TV mainly due to Sony being a reliable TV manufacturer. The TV is nice very user friendly, but the pass through lighting is annoying. I couldn't tell as much in the store, but at home it was really annoying. All that model TVs are alike, so in order to fix the problem you have to spend more that you may or may not be able to afford. Use caution when buying this unit.
