I read the reviews, but wanted the tv and was willing to take a chance. I bought the 2 year Best Buy extended warranty to supplement the 15 day return option just to play it safe. I've had the set for three days of solid running with absolutely no light bleed. The tv has a 506xxxx serial number and was manufactured in June 2016. The setup was easy and there were no issues with connectivity. fact is, it works and performs so much better then I had hoped it would. I'm not naïve, so my fingers are crossed and I'm knocking on wood but it's great going so far.

I purchased the 65 inch 900C 4 days ago to replace a Sony I purchased, and loved, six months ago that was accidently damaged. While I read reviews on the 900C before purchasing it, I thought the negative reviews about light bleeding were from people who always find something negative to say. I am not that person. However, boy am I sorry I purchased the 900C. The light bleeds on the bottom two corners and edge is just awful. It will have to be returned.

I have had my new television up and running for a little over a week, and I couldn't be happier. I did a lot of research before buying and I am glad I did. I was originally going to buy an OLED model, but the one I wanted cost over $5000.00, So I decided that was just too much to pay. I almost bought the Samsung model that is comparable to this set, but the sales associate told me it didn't have " High Dynamic Range", which he told me was really important. I was a little worried because some of the reviews from buyers of this set complained about color bleeding. This has not happened once. The picture is unbelievable. Everything looks great on it. I am so glad I decided to have it professionally hung. One reviewer said the mount it comes with didn't work because he had it hooked up to an audio/video system, I have a pretty complicated system, I have 12 components. The mount works perfectly and it still hangs flatly. I am most impressed with the knowledgeable sales staff, helping me a lot. Doing research and informing me of everything. The guy who installed it couldn't have been nicer. He actually helped me put together some audio/video furniture I had bought. He also suggested a universal remote, because of my complicated system, and it works beautifully. He stayed and explained everything, making sure I was comfortable with everything. The price actually was cheaper than what I was quoted! This was one of the best purchases I have ever made and would highly recommend the television, the store and the installation. '

So my Panasonic Plasma died in only 6 years. Disappointed because there is not much better than a plasma for picture quality other than OLED. I went in to purchase a Vizio M65-c1 based on reputable magazine reviews. After speaking with several associates at BestBuy none of them recommended the Vizio. All were talking about how great the Sony, Samsung and LG OLEDs were. Unfortunately I thought surely a Sony would be better. I don't buy TVs often and figured poney up and get a recommended brand. I was completely wrong. Got home. Set it up and the dreaded light bleed. Sony should be ashamed to still be selling these Tvs. It's an obvious defect in design and manufacturing. Picture looked great with lots of calibration but as soon as I put on a movie with a dark scene it looked horrible. For this money that should not happen. On the positive the smart menu is pretty good and the remote is very good. I don't buy Tvs for remotes and menu's though. I buy for picture quality. As usual Bestbuy was awesome. I packed up the tv and brought it back (hassle as its a 65"). Regardless they took care of me quickly and efficiently. Had them deliver the Vizio and I'm thrilled. Should have stuck with my first instinct. Don't buy this tv.

I have had this TV for 3 day's and just noticed that it has light bleeds at the bottom corners and small one's across the bottom edge. I usually read reviews before buying, this time I didn't do my research, I have bought many TV's over the years and have been a fan of Samsung, TV's Phones Tablets etc....

We love this television except for one thing, the 3d is terrible. You can not watch a whole movie because it makes you sick from the blurriness. Sony has refused to acknowledge (and we are dealing with the world's worst customer service by the way) and Best Buy won't let us return. So we are stuck with a television that only 1/2 works. Very disappointed. We even took our 3D movie and had Best Buy hook up their own 3D player to two of their Sony Display models and guess what...same blurry vision. It's a flaw with the Sony 4k UHD 3D. The manager was astonished. If they want you to buy this television, have them show you the 3D, you will see for yourself. They shouldn't be selling this TV with 3D at all.

I received this tv yesterday, geek squad installed and set it up for me very quickly. Most customers are getting color bleeding when the tv was dark I did see very little bleeding but I had to get really close to the tv pause the screen and look (fyi), what I did after that was turn on the light sensor in the settings option, bam no bleeding at all picture looks great I think some people are just too picky when it comes to electronics this tv is great and its all you need. don't spend 5 grand on a tv when 4k is not even fully available.

I've heard of all the complaints about this TV. I recently purchased this set and I have no complaints whatsoever. Manufacture date is Feb, 2016. I also have a high serial #. TV works great and I have minimal light bleed. Light bleeding is expected from these super thin LED TVs. It's gonna be there. You just don't want to end up with a set that has excessive light bleed. I lucked out waiting so long to pick this up because they have corrected the problem and now it's on clearance so it's a steal. GREAT TV FOR THE PRICE.

I read the reviews and thought that I would not have a problem, well I was wrong. I contacted Sony and I was told that this is normal ! It is reflective light coming from inside the screen ! It only bleeds through in the bottom left corner for about 8 inches and 2 inches high. Even when you first start it the bleed is there before the picture comes on. Once the picture comes on it is less noticable but it is still seen. I own many Sony products"55 in 3-D TV, blu-ray 3d dvd player, reciever, this by far is the worst. Should have gone with Samsung.

I'm wondering what the motion rate is. 120hz? or 240? I would hope it's no 60hz but I'm guessing it's not for that price. I want to buy it but want to make sure. Online and on this website it doesn't give the motion rate. Thanks

Was hesitant to move forward with the purchase after reading some general reviews on various sites. Many seemed to have issues with the picture and weird light/dark spots but it is working great and the whole family is happy with it!

This is the type of sleek stylish TV you want to fill up your wall. Terrific picture and easy smart TV interface.

Looks nice, thin, up scaling is awesome. Easy to setup. Love the TouchPad remote. Love this tv.

I've had my 900C now for a few weeks and love it! I had read the reviews and worried about the light bleed issue before purchasing it, but for the money, it was the most beautiful TV I could find so I figured I would take a chance. I also bought the 2 year protection plan, just in case. Some light bleed showed up in the 4 corners immediately on day one, but I honestly don't think I would have even noticed it if I had not read the reviews. It is only visible when the picture is black, and barely noticeable. I had Geeksquad bring a replacement, and we compared my original with the replacement and both had the same bleed. I decided to keep my original one. I could have returned it for a refund or exchanged it for something else. I kept the 900C (despite the bleed) because the picture is simply gorgeous, and the TV itself is stunning…Geeksquad did a great job wall mounting it and hiding the cords in the wall and organizing all my cords behind my console. This TV is insanely thin and beautiful. I have a clean-lined, minimalist home and I was worried it would be too large, but because it is so slim and mounts so flat against the wall (it comes with its own wall mount), it looks great. The only thing that would look better is an LG OLED TV but they cost so much more. I tend to think that the small amount of light bleed in the corners is inherent to a TV this thin. I am very happy with it. My friends have said it's spectacular.

This TV has everything, Beutiful blacks, great colors, thinness, and light bleeding from every corner. Sony's quality control is outrageous. Looked at three of these models (one I even installed at my home) and every model had the same issue. The colors look amazing, but a customer shouldn't have to tolerate obnoxious whites bleeding from all the corners on a dark image. I was incredibly disappointed after giving Sony one more chance. Don't make the mistake of buying this TV, a great alternative would be the Samsung UN65JS9000, it's well worth the money and reliability.

I read the recent reviews and thought the light bleed was a thing of the past. More over the Sony specialist at the store confirmed very strongly that the newer models do not have the light bleed. Alas, I should have known better. I am getting a replacement today. Lets see if that one has issues. Otherwise, it is goodbye to Sony

Extremely disappointed with such an expensive product being sub par. Light Bleed is terrible. I have several Sony TVs and have never seen this problem. Severe light bleed along the bottom and especially in the corners.

So I've had this television in-house for a couple months now and can't think, for the life of me, why I didn't go out and buy it any sooner. The picture quality of whatever you watch is better than 85% of televisions out there; plus the fact that your smart tv tries to "upgrade" your picture quality for you regardless of the original quality is a top-shelf feature in and of itself. I haven't seen any issues with those little "white-emitting lights" that people have been talking about, so i'm guessing, like anything else, there are just some lemons in an orange batch to everything. The surround sound is crisp & clear and it sounds even better connected to my Bose theater system. The one negative thing I could say about this is the wall mount that comes with the television is great if you want your television connected to your internet wirelessly because there is literally no room for anything else once you mount it. I also have a theater system so my connections wouldn't fit behind with the current wall mount, so I might have to go with a modified wall mount to be able to connect what I want to the back of this television which, of course, would negate the whole thinness to the look of the television on the wall. Other than that, I'm absolutely satisfied with my purchase!

With 4K content becoming more readily available it was time for me to upgrade but I also have a library of over 120 3D movies I refused to lose support for so it came down to this Sony and a handful of other sets. Since picking this up I have been absolutely amazed!!! The Android TV OS is extremely feature rich and the touchpad remote makes navigation as simple as it is on your smartphone (which can also be used as a remote). The thinness of this set is also noteworthy. It hangs so close to the wall it almost appears to "melt" into it seamlessly. This is an edge-lit LED so there is a small amount of light bleed in the lower corners which is only visible when the screen is black but the strength is worth it considering how absolutely beautiful and bright the picture is. Don't pass this up!!!

TV has a very nice picture. What is bad is having issues with audio return channel and technical support at sony is worst than awful. Repeat issue multiple time and only receive a link that I already found with menu option that do not exist on my tv. If you expect technical support be very very cautioius of sony technical support. The result is I am unable to receive full functionality with this item
