The Light Bleeding...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally was looking for the x850c but saw the X900c and loved how thin it was. Got it set up in my living room and then noticed that i had a lot of light bleeding on all four corners of the tv and along the bottom middle. was not happy about it and was feeling frustrated that i paid so much but did not get top quality. I would not mind getting a replacement but no box :/

Very poor quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I made the mistake of not reading the reviews. I went and saw it at the store and it looked good. When we brought it home and got it going I noticed the great sound and smart interface. I was satisfied at first. But as we continued to use it, we noticed that in between scenes when the screen goes dark, the led ligths leaked very bad all around the edges. Once we saw that we started to notice that it also leaked into the movie scenes that were shot in darkness. So that trigger me to test my xbox one games and the clarity or sharpness my previous tv (vizio 50") had was a lot better. Compared them by playing same tv show on both and going back and forward between rooms. Vizio's quality was greater and I had paid $1400 less for it. So for $1400 all I was getting was a bigger screen. I returned this tv after having it for 4 days. Purchased a 65" Samsung SUHD for an extra $200 and oh boy!!!!!!!! What a difference. Huge difference. I lost the 3D capabilty but I couldn't find any 3D shows/movies in any of the services I have anyhow. (Netflix, Hulu, Vudu, etc) Overall, not recommended. And since I bought it, the price on this one went down and on the Samsung went up. I bet is for a reason.

Fooled me twice.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first set received did not have working HDMI ports. The internet connection worked so I was able to stream Amazon. Awesome picture. The next TV delivered had light bleeding and a dull picture. I gave up and bought a Samsung. Now I am happy. Sony just lost a loyal customer, because my 2 year old Sony went downstairs and I really loved that TV.

Horrible Light Bleed - Upgraded to a Samsung
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this TV for our new home after being told by the Best Buy associate that this was an excellent TV. He was dead wrong. The OS, Android, was clunky as all get out, slow, and unenjoyable, but I could live with that. What I couldn't live with is the horrible light. Look, I get it, LED has light bleed, but I lost about 8 inches in each corner. I couldn't watch shows or movies if they were dark. Long story short, the only shot that looked good on this TV is a sunny, beach like scene otherwise it looks like some one has four high power flash lights pointed at each corner of the screen. It was so bad, that I had to have Best Buy come and uninstall it to put up a Samsung which has a better and brighter picture, excellent blacks, and an amazing OS.

Light Bleed & Dead Pixels (annoying green dots)
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been loyal to Sony and yet they refuse to assist with my TV. Within two weeks of purchase it had developed an annoying green dot on the screen and also light bleeds in from the sides and corners of the unit. Shame on you Sony!

Disappointing, do not purchase this TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been purchasing Sony products for about 3 decades and have been pleased. I did not research this TV since I had no issues in the past with Sony products, I should have. It is slow to turn on, it freezes (have to unplug to regain control), and have had to factory reset the TV 2 times in 2 months. It has screen mura on the edges which BB and the Sony representative say is normal. I also purchased the 49 inch Sony (XBR49X830C) with the same issues. I could not return them because my house was being renovated and they installed the TVs but by the time we moved in it was too late to return.

Good TV but not for what you paid
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went after this tv while I saw it on sale. It super thin looks sharp and the picture in store was amazing. I read some reviews about the color bleeding and thought that it wouldn't bother me. Well it did bother me a lot I would always catch my self looking at the corners and seeing the white take over the black screen. But when this tv would have a full screen show on, the picture was amazing with great colors and details. But if you are going to spend this much on a 4k TV then you should go with a Samsung that what I exchanged my Sony 900c for and I have no regrets with the exchange.

Boom for your Buck
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this TV 6 years ago for over $3000 when it was the newest and most slim. Great TV picture... Limited Apps with Sony... Took out the 5year best buy insurance. Glad I did.. Had to repair three times over the 6 years.... Turned it on last night? Poof... red light flash four times.. Dead. Turns out this is a common issue. Called for repair and it will cost almost $700 to fix... So bottom line, a $3000 TV should last more than 6 years...

Sony....big mistake
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I posted a review recently about how dissatisfied I'm am with my Sony XBR 55 inch TV. I saw that a Sony rep responded with an email to contact them a few days later. I sent an email with my issues and a picture of the TV, which looks exactly the same when I turn it off as it does when it's on...NOTHING! To anyone who gets an email address to contact Sony, don't waste your time writing back. I think they respond on these sites to make it look like the will do something. But just like my picture on my Sony, you get NOTHING! Luckily I was able to return a perfectly good 65 Sony 930D TV to get a Samsung but unfortunately I will be stuck with a usee Sony replacement, which I still haven't received. We purchased a Sony XBR 55 900C in March of 2016. The picture was great for the 20 hours of use. Unfortunately, w purchased the Sony 65 inch last month before we used the 55 inch again. We turned on the TV July 1st and nothing. Call Sony and they said that a rep would call in 3-5 business days. No one called for 7 days. When they called, they said they didn't have the part. What? No one ever looked at the TV. A week later Sony called and would replaced the TV, after I sent a copy of the receipt and a couple of pictures of the TV. Great! I will get a new tv to replace my new tv. The problem is that since it was over 90 days of purchase, I would get a certified TV. That means I will get someone else's TV who probably had the same problem and now I have his headache. I told the rep I didn't want a used TV to replace my 20 hour of use TV. Too bad! I'm stuck with a whatever TV. I will called Best Buys today to see if I'm within the time period to return the 65 inch TV. This is the first time I purchased Sony TV's in years. The tech who installed the TV's recommended a Samsung because if I had issues at all, I would get a new TV to replace. Big mistake by going with a Sony! Now I hope I can return the 65 inch and I know for sure Sony won't be any other room in our house.

Don't Buy This TV!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went off the recommendation of the Best Buy employee in the TV department without first reading any product reviews. What a mistake! I had the exact issues that everyone has complained about: severe light bleed, poor black quality, and splotchy, uneven color on dark scenes. I returned this disaster in under 24 hours. It's that bad. I replaced it with a Samsung UN65JU7100, and I'm much happier with it. Please save yourself time and effort and skip this model entirely.

Beautiful TV plagued with Bleeding
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchase the tv and when they delivered it, there was bad bleeding on the corners. I called Sony since it was a known problem for that model and sent them pictures. They told me that the tv was functioning properly and they could not do anything for me. So i escalated the issue just to be told that it was physical damage and i would need to take my 65" to an authorized repair center and have to pay to have them look at the tv to confirm that it was or not physical damage. WTH???? No thanks, I will just return the tv to BB. Sony has the worst CS ever!!! If you buy a Sony TV, make sure you get the best buy warranty so if anything happens, best buy will fix it or give you a new tv.

Hard to imagine this would pass quality control
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It seems every 900c has this issue. Very unfortunate to think that TV's would let this huge light bleed issue persist. Wound up spending another $1500 on the 930D and am pretty happy. Some clouding which I don't think should be there for the price - but a great picture.
