This is an Excellent Television
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This large TV is our first smart TV purchase and we could not be happier with our purchase. We like how easy it is to exit to NetFlix and get back to TV mode. It is so seamless. We have not yet used all its functionality but are real pleased with the sound and super clear picture. Thanks Sony and Best Buy.

Solid Sony Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent packaging. Protected TV well and yet extremely convenient to unpack. Feature rich product, although somewhat complex to understand for the average consumer. The on-line manual is 249 pages long and includes several different models requiring the user to decipher which features apply to which model. Having said all of that, the rich feature availability probably necessitates that kind of complexity.

Awesome TV with great features
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My only choice in TV when it came time to upgrade. My last TV was a Sony projection TV. It was 13 years old and still going strong when I donated it to a family with kids to use in their basement as a gaming display. Got a great deal on it to boot. Love the voice command feature and the 4K videos.

Great tv for price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this tv the 4K and HDR look amazing. Even though the back lighting is around the edges of the tv I hardly notice the washout on the edges. And for $1000 less than the other version Sony makes with the multi zone lighting there is no difference between the two. Love my tv glad I went with a Sony l.

Great UHDTV If You Need a Wide Viewing Angle
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this TV. Last year I bought a XBR55850c. I enjoy the 65850d more because the set up in our family room requires a tv to have a large viewing angle. The 850d has a great image and a wide viewing angle. The blacks are a little better on the 850c, but the viewing angle is superior on the 850d.

Great TV and a great price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very happy with this purchase. I had the Geek Squad deliver, install and set up the tv, sound bar, and harmony elite remote. I've only had this system for a couple of weeks but so far I am 100% satisfied with this entire purchase. Mostly watching sports and regular network programs but very pleased.

Terrible backlight issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In general the TV performs good, but it has a serious flaw. It is so bad that it's definitely a deal breaker for me. That is - when watching any dark themes, and especially with some or few of the bright objects in the screen - the backlight struggles and would flash on and off. I contacted Sony and spoke with several support with this issue, and they only provided me instructions for screen settings which didn't help at all. Then they concluded it's only natural when the backlight flashes on and off, and refused to send a tech to check and see if the TV is malfunctioning. I guess they must have seen this issue a lot, couldn't fix it and just shut the door on me. Another reason for me to advice people to stay away from Sony as they don't stand behind their products. Check out the pictures that I took. I had the TV settings according to Sony's support. I turn off motion flow, reduced brightness down to 35, reduced backlight down to 30, and power saving mode on low. The movie is showing a dark theme, the closed caption is the bright object, and the backlight flashes on and off and the caption changes. It's barely watchable.....

Amazing TV. Great purchase.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I almost had a hard attack deciding which 4K tv to buy. I've always been Samsung and had my heart set on LG, but obviously walked out with a Sony. I'm happy that I did. Beautiful picture and great size. Upscaling looks great. Can't wait to get the 4K blu ray player to see this TV work its magic.

I love this tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As someone who finally pulled the trigger on getting a new tv, I am so glad I did. I spent more than what I originally intended but so glad I did because picture quality is amazing. Sound is good as well and the smartness is a nice feature too since I only use steaming services and not cable.

Excellent product...something for everyone.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was surprised how much bigger the 65" seemed after a 55". This one is bigger, brighter, and smarter than my other technology. There is a learning curve, so explore with the manual on hand. After reading mankind mixed reviews, I went with Sony based on my experience with other Sony products.

Nice picture, good price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this TV to replace our 50" above the hearth. Though the quality of picture and specs like weight are much better in today's TVs, the old Sony plasmas were much nicer to look at with their silver frames. That being said, it was time to upgrade and we are happy with the new TV. It was easy to setup, we love the multiple ports for HDMI for easy connection to cable and our Apple TV.

Excellent TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this television, the size, the picture quality, color, everything. Very easy to set up and use, very intuitive. No problems whatsoever. Sound is ok, not the greatest but satisfactory. My last TV (a Samsung middle price older non-smart tv) sounded like a tin can was used for a speaker.

Last Purchase I make from Best Buy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally purchased this TV on 11 Jun, and it was delivered on Jun 14. Upon delivery I noticed multiple dead pixels, so the individual that delivered the TV said he would order a new one and I would receive a call to set up delivery of the new TV. After not hearing anything for a few days I called Best Buy on 17 Jun only to find out the new TV was never ordered. The individual I spoke with was very helpful, returned the old TV and ordered a new one. I received the new TV on 21 Jun and it is fine; the delivery man stated that I have 15 days from that day to return if needed, and made certain that he left the correct box with me. I went back in to my local Best Buy today (2 Jul) to price match the TV to a local competitor, and I was told that they could/would not do the price match. So I asked the manger "you would prefer I return the TV and purchase it from somewhere else than price match it for me?", and he stated "you can do that if you like." Then a nearby customer service rep stated that I could not return it because it has been more than 15 days from the original purchase date (Jun 11). I said, no, this TV was purchased on the 17th and delivered on the 21st; she then restated that it is 15 days from the original purchase date and that it could no longer be returned. The manager was still present, and said/did nothing. After reviewing the return policy on line, she and the manager clearly appear to be wrong about the policy, but to argue with the ignorant is pointless. This is the last purchase I make from Best Buy!!
