Not the best.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV has ghosting around the edges. Was told it was a Sony issue. This is second TV that was purchased. Should have listened the first time and replaced it with a Samsung. Owned Sony's before but not a thin model. Has an issue with not turning on too. That happened on a Sunday. By Monday morning it decided to turn on and work again.

made solid but had issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tv was boxed well and over all felt solid. Ascetically not the nicest thing very plastic feeling. During the day tv was awesome but once nightfall hit it was bad.... No blacks just grey on dark scenes and the dynamic contrast was horrible.... unwatchable the way it would dim and lighten up. went back to the store!

A really nice UHD-TV with a great interface
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I looked really hard at Samsung 8000 series as well as LG and Vizio when making my decision for a new TV. I had a 10 year old DLP Samsung that I wanted to replace and finally I was shown the Sony. After reading the critic's reviews they all mention the Sony not having good black levels which was initially a concern. But after watching the TV in the store it looked great to me and my wife. They were also running a package deal with a top of the line Sony sound bar which gave me an additional discount if I bought both. That was a big incentive to me as I use this Tv in a larger 20x28 room and typical built in TV speakers are woefully inadequate. The sound bar is a HTNT-5 and it really made the offer too good to turn down. Now that I have the TV home and setup I can't imagine that I am missing much with regard to quality compared to the Samsung's "superior" black levels. I went online and found some suggested calibration settings and entered those into the picture setup and to me the image is stunning. The colors are rich and vivid, I don't see motion blur and there is minimal glare from lamps in the room. Another thing that I really like about the Sony is the remote control. It integrated beautifully with my set top cable box and now I can run it with the Sony remote for all but the most difficult functions. The smart TV interface of the Sony is also far ahead of the Samsung. The ease of use is really nice. Overall this is a really nice unit and the sound quality from the Sony Sound bar makes it good enough that I will rarely turn on the full surround sound receiver for most movies. If you are considering the Samsung 8000 series don't overlook this model too.

Not what I was hoping
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't get me wrong the TV picture looks good, but the price I was expecting a lot better and a brighter picture. I got the Samsung 8000 instead and wow is the Samsung much brighter!!

Nothing Special
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not overwhelmed with this speaker bar. Sound is low quality. Bought an open box and its missing the remote control. Wi-Fi doesn't work on it so its going back. Hopefully this one goes back to the factory and not to another consumer.

Super satisfied!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am amazed by this TV. Had a 50" Samsung plasma that I wasn't to upgrade and this thing is definitely an upgrade. Did a lot of searching, looking at TVs in stores, this one they didn't have on display yet but I got it anyway. The smart features are great and everything works quick, the display colors and contrast are wonderful, watching TV is a whole new, much better experience. I also watch a fair amount of sports, I've been watching hockey and the games look perfect to me. Super satisfied!

Sony Poor Edgelit 4k TV. No one seems to help.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV has good android features like "OK Google" but I wish this TV was backlit instead of edge lit and in my case there is horrible non-uniform greyish light bleed that this TV suffers mainly on left side especially when watching movies. I spoke to best buy and they told me they could not replace the TV. This TV is not cheap and for such top of the line product didn't expect such a weird greyish light bleed problem. Not happy with this purchase. I have already spent lot of money on this TV including transportation and am really disappointed with this TV for the value. Wish Sony or someone cares and listens.

Good picture and picture settings
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The dulshock feature stopped working in the first week. Now the tv can't pick up my WiFi (which is the same WiFi that my other devices are connected to) and the system restarted on me going back to the original set up

Not worth the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this Sony because it's such a good brand. It was on sale so I thought I'd upgrade to UHD finally. But it was a big disappointment. I talked to the salesperson about the 120 refresh rate and he assured me that it didn't make a difference between 120 and 240 refresh,. But on this TV it was really hard to watch whenever the camera panned the scene. There was no good default setting (cinema mode, sports mode, etc) and I ended up having to manually change the settings to a better picture whenever I watched something. It shouldn't be so much work to like a TV. I couldn't stand it and had to return it.

If you enjoy audio with your shows, look elsewhere
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Without a doubt, the worst tv I've ever purchased, and will be the last Sony television I ever buy. Sound died a year ago, when the tv was only 3 years old, but got by with a sound bar. Just a few days ago, all sound from the TV source has permanently died. Still get audio from other HDMI sources via the sound bar, but now nothing from the TV source. A tv that can't play audio from the tv source, garbage. Absolute, $2,000, piece of garbage.
