Geek squad hooked our TV and components up perfectly. TV has great picture and with the speakers we bought sounds great. Color is fantastic. We do get some glare from our patio door but that will be taken care of when our curtains arrive.

I bought this TV as a cheaper alternative to the Samsung UN65JS8500. The picture was great, but there was light bleeding from the edge-lit backlight that was unacceptable for a TV at this price point. Lesson learned: buy the Samsung for an extra $500 and you also get HDR capability plus great promos like a free soundbar or TV..

I originally purchased a 60" Vizio M series 4K television which worked well for three weeks, then would not power on. Overall, it was a blessing in disguise. There is a noticeable difference in upscaling of 1080p content. This Sony is a bit sharper and the contrast ratio is at least as good. It connects seamlessly with my directv, Playstation 4 and the sony 4K media player. Apps work well and the inputs switch over automatically when you turn on another device. I have in the basement, but brightness would be fine in a well lit room. I have no qualms about the additional money spent. I also purchased the top model soundbar. That is good, but the 5.1 surround bar by Vizio was as good (and in my opinion, better) for nearly $1000 less. If you don't mind crossing brands, I suggest that w/ this TV for a great package.

Upgraded from a Samsung Slim 50" 1080p to now our first 4K (at 65" no less) was definitely worth the wait. I passed over the outgoing 2014 models to wait for the Android TV interface, and I am so glad I did. There are oodles of software features (think Google Play Store) that I haven't discovered yet, because I am too busy appreciating the color, quality, and capability of the X-Reality PRO up-scaling processing engine. Up to this point I really enjoy using the voice command to ask Android TV to come up with an answer; it's a real conversation piece when friends are over! Lastly, Netflix streaming over 4K is working great and is a blast to dive into some of the limited content; however, it should be well known that Ultra-HD Blu Ray is going to trump streaming 4k with the crazy bitrate, hopefully by Winter 2015. Get Ready!

TV has a great picture, upscaled 1080 content well to enhance viewing. If placing unit on its stand instead of mounting on the wall and using one of Sony's great sound bars, the sound bar blocks the input receiver. Have to elevate the TV.

What a treat it is to watch this amazingly clear and bright and beautifully stunning color HD picture. And even though at this time the 4K opportunities are few, the HD is striking and well worth having. Sure don't regret this decision.

Unreal picture quality even on non 4K stuff. Love the google apps and all the features. No need to buy any blu ray/media players or anything else once you have this tv because you have access to all the content you could ever want.

Overall the Sony 4k TV is very sharp. The 4K upscale engine clearly delivers one of the crispest pictures out there regardless of the resolution being fed to the tv. 3D? who knows. I've never been able to get it to work. They glasses pair with the TV (documentation is poor and Best Buy staff is clueless). I tried to purchase "home installation" when I purchased the set, and was told "I live outside their delivery area". When I called about 3D questions "they wanted to sell me home installation". No answers, no solutions. I'm very happy with the Sony TV. I think that I'll figure out 3D (on my own eventually). It may be a matter of delivering true 3D media to the set. I've downloaded several different 3-D movies from the internet--but not cause the set to trigger 3-D mode or sync to the glasses.

I have yet to find anything this set does not excel at. Settings are deep enough without being overly complicated (assuming some knowledge), picture is phenomenal, setup is easy and the Bluetooth mouse type remote is awesome.

I was debating between the Sony 65x850C and the Samsung JS8500. Given the Samsung being $500 more, I decided to go with the Sony. Overall I am pleased, but wonder if the Samsung would have been a better TV. the Sony is great in 4K, but not much is available to watch in 4K yet. Regular cable TV (FIOS) is ok and some blurred lines when there is fast movement. Movies are slightly better. DVD, fo course, are much better quality. The Samsung may have the same issues, but was not able to test their regular picture either (showrooms all show in 4K, which looks great). The Sony smarttv interface (android based) takes some getting used to and some of the setup and menu options are not very intuitive, but overall for the $500 savings, it is a great TV thus far.

After a lot of research, I purchased this TV and was excited to unpack it, only to find that neither of the 2 remotes were included in the box. The box appeared to be original and unopened, so I think this was a Sony error, and not a Best Buy error. I contacted Best Buy and they offered to give me 2 remotes (off floor stock), so I drove back to the store and returned home with my "new" remotes, only to find that the Best Buy reps gave me the wrong model remotes and they would not work with the TV. Without the touchscreen remote, it is not possible to fully set up the TV. I contacted Sony Customer Service and they essentially told me they were too busy to help and I should phone back tomorrow. Still waiting to resolve how to get the 2 remotes I need, so I don't have any real input on the TV yet. 3 stars is in recognition of Best Buys (failed) attempt to fix my problem (at least they tried and were very nice about it) and Sony's total lack of interest in solving my problem. I will update the review if I ever get the remotes.

My husband and I went back and forth over Sony vs Samsung many times for about an hour in the store. We honestly had no idea what Android TV entailed exactly but that feature was a great surprise when we got home. If you're a PS4 user like us; you can plug your controller directly into the TV and play many many free games on the Android/Google store. The most important part is the picture, it's phenomenal. Very little ghosting during action.....if you've read about cheaper 4K's you will read quite a bit regarding this issue. This is the Sony C-series we did some further research when we got home.......it is far superior to the previous A-B series. Not to mention viewing a TV in the store and at home are totally different experiences. This looks great at both.

I originally wanted a Samsung, but learned that I could only afford the 60Hz model. I love this TV. It receives WiFi flawlessly for viewing Netflix in HD. Don't be fooled by the made up units for Hz. ClearMotion 120 is only 60Hz. This TV is capable of 120Hz and the best 4K set for the money. It's just too bad they don't display this size XBR in the store so you can see how much better the color and clarity is. The enhanced color technology in this Sony is every bit as good as a JS model Samsung. My only complaint is that it's not the same brand name as everything else in my house. So worth it.

We replaced an older 55" Sony with the 65" 850c. Had a little problem getting 3D glasses to sync with the TV...don't know if it was the TV or the glasses. Once the hooked up - amazing picture! 2D, 3D great picture.

Have had the tv for a little over a month. Only had one issue so far. Netflix stopped working on me and just had to restart the tv by unplugging it. Awesome picture, especially when you can actually play something that's broadcast in 4K. If your looking to invest in to a 4K tv you should also consider getting direct tv if you don't already. I recently switched from Comcast to direct tv. Not only is the hd picture better than Comcast hd, but direct tv already broadcast some on demand in 4K and they already have plans to put out a lineup of channels in 4K this year. Comcasts infrastructure is not designed to support 4K and will be extremely expensive to do so. So more than likely if you have Comcast it will be a good bit of time until you get 4K channels. Overall, great picture, great apps to support it and if you have a ps4 there's perks there as well. I mean you can use a ps4 controller as your remote....pretty cool.

The Sony Smart TV has a wonderful quality picture and sound. The picture is so good it appears to be 3-D and totally captivates one while watching. The HD channels are amazing and the non-HD channels are better than on my old set. Best television images I've ever seen.

There are several options in the TV and I haven't used all. It is an andriod TV and you can install various apps. I use it with a laptop and use it like a big screen to see streaming content. Colors are nice and rich. It has 2 remotes one of which works like a touch screen to navigate through options... overall I like the TV. It looks beautiful and the color is nice and rich. I haven't played games or watched fast motion videos, but I am good with what I use it for. Cost was right with 800 rebate from bestbuy. I have noticed 1 thing but not sure the reason, it randomly switched on at times even when nobody tried to switch it on. But it doesn't matter. It could be due to receiver and laptop all attached and HDMI control on...

Love the picture on this TV. The touch pad remote is nice, but for the life of me I cant get it to stop FF or RW on my DVR. I continue to get a small popup that says "device detected" - "please try again". Nothing is trying that I can find, so it is a bit annoying.

Overall great tv for the price. I believe this is the best tv in its class. Tried two other tvs ( samsung and LG)and returned them both. The price of the sony was a little more, but once getting it hooked up, could tell it was a much better tv overall, no juddering on camera panning (samsung) and much better pic quality than lg. The processor is right for the tv. For watching movies or watching sports. The 4k up-conversion is aweasom. Depending on the network, its almost watching in real life. The android system is not the best but is has adequate apps. If I want to surf the net I'll use my laptop. The only negatives I have is both remotes "feel" cheap and the stand for tabletop mounting has a little wobble.
