To preface this review: I recognize that I'm not an audio/video expert. My point of view is from someone who just enjoys watching sports and movies on TV. From that perspective, this TV has been awesome so far. I moved up from a 43" 1080P Samsung. In fact, this is the first flat screen I've bought that wasn't a Samsung. That said, this TV is amazing so far. First, it's huge! 65" is SO much bigger than my other TVs. My sofa is about 10 feet from the screen - how much of the 4k difference can my eyes perceive? I don't know, but the picture is unbelievable. And I know there's not much content in 4k yet, but the TV lets me go to YouTube or Amazon Prime Video and find plenty of Costa Rican Rainforest and Great Barrier Reef 4k videos for me to ooh and ahh over until Comcast is ready to start broadcasting in 4k. The sound is not great, but with a TV this big, I've got to think you've already planned for surround sound - or at least a sound bar. It's a great TV, and I'd certainly buy it all over again if I had a choice.

This is a better than average 4K TV at it's price point. Nice picture with lots of functionality thanks to the Android TV OS built in. I would give it 5 Stars except for two issues: Sound - The built in speakers absolutely suck. You will want to hook this up to a sound system or get a sound bar. This was quite disappointing since I was replacing an existing Sony TV that had excellent built in speakers. Also the volume control on the TV cannot be disabled even when outputting audio to a sound bar, which is annoying. Rebooting - On occasion, this TV goes black and then displays the spinning dots that typically appear while the Android OS is loading. Sometimes this will not resolve (longest time tested was 2 hours) and the only way to fix it is to unplug the TV and then plug it back in. This makes me rather nervous.

This TV was delivered and uncrated by delivery people. We set it up ourselves. It was quite easy. The picture is great and we have no complaints. We thought it might be too big for our space but we are glad we went with this size and not a smaller one. We hung it on the wall and the adjustable mounting bracket is good for eliminating glare when lights are on.

The picture and functionality are great. The menu and programming leaves alot to be desired. I have yet to utilize 4K broadcasts etc. but at minimum High Def channels and blu ray discs are amazing. The pricing was competitive and the sale rep really knew her product and was not only knowledgeable but was also very patient and customer service oriented.

I purchased this TV for our company's conference room ... Wow ... what a TV. Picture quality is awesome and being an Sony XBR I'm sure the quality will be there for a long, long time. It was easy to set up which was a concern as many people in the company will be using it. Based on this experience I will be buying another one for our other conference room.

We purchased the 55 inches and 2 months later liked it so much that we bought the 65 inch for our other home It is an awesome TV I can't see why anyone would buy the 850 model vs the 810 unless you need 3-D The 810 is rated better than the 850 by every tv ratings org Picture is great and easy to use Thanks and enjoy it's like being at the movies

I was looking to purchase a new TV and had no intentions of buying a 4K let alone a 65" screen (didn't think it would fit my Living Room). After being set on buying a Samsung, I was surprised that I was able to get everything this TV had to offer for much less $$ than the Samsung. I spoke with multiple Best Buy Employees and asked them if they were going to spend the money which TV would they get in this price range they all kept recommending the Sony over the Samsung. After a little more research I made the decision to go with the Sony, and I have been more than satisfied with my choice. Beautiful picture, love the smart TV, 4K. I purchased a sound bar due to the average speakers of the TV and it basically made this the perfect TV. Highly recommend this for any TV enthusiast.

Great TV with the two main features I was looking for: 4K and Smart TV. Picture and colors are sharp and vibrant. Was comparing against 2 other similar TV's from different manufactures, the sales consultant helped me decided on the Sony because of the better upscale processing. At the time of this review, 4K content is not yet widely readily available. So a lot of content viewed will be 720p and 1080p. Sony has a great processor for upscaling content. Have been very happy watching all content and the picture quality.

I do not understand why there are sooo many inputs, but only one output. That output is a digital optical connection. I prefer to have my stereo connect after the TV signal, so if the TV is running from the internet, then I can have full sound instead of just the TV speakers. I would prefer the HDMI or standard component connections instead of the digital optical, but I do not have a choice. The quality of the picture is not much different from the competitors. For the money I prefer the Samsung with a full web browser instead of the apps Sony allows connection to. Do not buy the Visio as I tried that one as well. The wireless connection on the Visio goes out frequently (about 5 times for every movie) and locks the TV. To unlock the TV must be unplugged as all power buttons on non-functional. The internet connections on the Sony and Samsung are about the same for dependability - an occasional screen freeze that only lasts seconds.

Great tv overall, I use it mostly for sports, movies and gaming and it excels at all 3. I use this in my media room which has blackout shades and it's perfect, would not be good for a bright room though. My only complaint, which is extremely minor, is that the corners are slightly darker than the rest of the screen. Other than that, perfect.

After buying the xbr810 and having light bleeding issues in the corners, I returned it for the Xbr850. The picture is great using Netflix and hd channels. I would not recommend watching anything that is not hd on this tv.
