      Hi Lynette,

We're so glad to hear your Sony K65XR50 TV fulfills your expectations. Thank you for sharing your fantastic five-star review—it means a lot to know you're enjoying the product. Regarding the concern about the remote control, it is likely, that the remote that your son's TV comes with, is a backlit remote, which varies depending on the model, but the only main difference its that backlit function, as the remote should be operating just perfectly fine, although, if you encounter any issues with it, please feel free to reach out to our technical support team; We'd be always glad to help!

Thanks for choosing Sony—wishing you a vibrant day!

      Hi Troy,

We are excited to hear that you find the BRAVIA 5 to be a very nice TV and that you are satisfied with it so far!

The BRAVIA 5 is positioned as our premium mid-range Mini LED offering, balancing the powerful XR Processor and XR Backlight Master Drive technology (which delivers stunning brightness and contrast) with a more accessible cost than our flagship models.

Regarding the stand, we include a 2-way stand that is designed to be versatile, allowing for both a compact setup and a position that is raised to better accommodate a soundbar.

      Thank you for choosing Sony!

      Hi Cycosis,
Thank you for taking the time to share your positive experience with the Sony Bravia K-65XR50! We are pleased to learn that your concerns about contrast were misplaced and that the TV has exceeded your expectations.

One of the standout features of the BRAVIA 5 is its XR Contrast Booster 15, which dynamically adjusts the contrast to optimize the picture quality. This technology, combined with the XR Triluminos Pro, ensures that you experience a wider, more natural color palette and enhanced contrast, even in bright environments.

      Thank you for selecting Sony!

Decent quality. Can’t sync with Apple TV and a home theatre so they force you to use the native apps and awful remote / ux. I called Sony and they said there is no fix.

      Hi Fracon,

We apologize for the frustration with your setup. You can absolutely sync your external devices and home theater using BRAVIA Sync (HDMI-CEC), which allows our remote to control your connected equipment; please ensure "BRAVIA Sync control" is enabled under Settings > Channels & Inputs > External inputs. If you continue to have trouble, we recommend refreshing the connection by unplugging the TV and your theater system from power for two minutes, then reconnecting them using a High Speed 48Gbps HDMI cable to ensure the devices can properly communicate.

      Thanks for choosing Sony.

Terrible glare my Panasonic was much better. This was recommended by best buy sales rep who asked if it was in a bright room .He informed me this was a better TV. NOT If I could afford it I would throw this out and replace it. My little Roku TV has better color.

      Hi RalphA,

We sorry to hear the BRAVIA 5 isn’t living up to expectations, especially regarding glare and color. We definitely want you to have a better experience in your bright room.

To help improve the picture, try these quick steps:

For Glare: Ensure Auto Brightness is ON in the settings so the Mini LEDs can properly compete with sunlight.

For Color: Switch the Picture Mode to Vivid or Standard to get that punchy, vibrant look you may be missing.

If those don't help, please check our Sony Support Page for further calibration tips: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support.

      Thanks for choosing Sony.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, TraceyT.

We are truly sorry to hear that your experience with the K-65XR50 has been disappointing, especially regarding the dull, dim color even after adjusting the settings. We apologize that this product has not delivered the vibrant picture quality you expect from Sony, and we are glad to hear the sound, at least, was satisfactory.

We understand your serious concern about the TV's weight straining your stand, and we recommend always confirming the stand's load rating meets the TV's weight specifications.

We want to help you achieve the premium picture quality you paid for. Please contact our support team directly at https://us.esupport.sony.com/support/s/support-contact?language=en_US&category=tv so our specialists can guide you through specific troubleshooting steps, such as checking settings or performing a factory reset.

We take your satisfaction seriously and appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

Purchased tv and scheduled delivery 13 days out. Received 9 texts evening before, ended up in website loop. Called Geek Squad, recvd 10-12:30 time slot. Next morning rcvd call: your technician is out (HA, day before holiday weekend), next delivery is another 2 weeks out! That is horrible customer service! What we learned over 2 hours on phone: There is zero option to call store or sales agent, you must drive across town and they can’t do anything. We received 3 different excuses from BB and GS. Geek Squad canceled us, but put us at farthest date available - so now 26 days. There is no option of a wait list. Best Buy only uses Geek now. Our only options are: cancel and try to get $$ back (thousands), or wait. We cannot lift/transport/set up ourselves, and are left very frustrated and unhappy with Best Buy and Geek Squad. This review offers place to add photos and describe picture quality: of what?! If you have other options, our advice is stay far away from these companies.

This review does not reflect on the sales person in the store or the Geek Sqad that was here yesterday to complete installation of new TV. They did a great job we just were unlucky to get a TV with a problem. So back to the beginning we had to wait 2 weeks for the first appt to set up new tv. That appt was canceled on the day of appt because someone called off and Geek Sqad needed 2 people to do set up. So it had to re scheduled and thats where the problem is. We were put at the bottom of the list and had to wait another 2 wks before they could do set up. When an appointment is canceled at last minute due to your problem w/ the appt we add should have been moved to the top of the list not have to wait another 2 weeks. Then when they came for installation there is a problem w/ the TV. Not their faul, but then we were called with another appt date over 2 weeks away. Again now we waited fir a month to get the TV and the soonest you could get us another app was 10-18. So so now were heading close to 2 months just to get our tv installed. We again should have been moved to the top of the list. Then there is the Haul away you should never schedule haul away prior to the installation unless the customer tells you this is ok. Yesterday the haul away people came before the installation team. We told them until we knew everything went well with the install that they could not take the tv we were watching. And as it ended up there was a problem with the new tv but they left the new for us to watch and the install team did take the old tv withthem when they left. My point here is the haul away appts should not be scheduled prior to the install appts. Since the haul away people did not haul away our old tv i feel we should be credited the haul away charge. Once everthing is said and done we will have waited almost 2 months for our new tv and i would like to talk to someone about this situation once everything has been completed.oh by the way i was sent this original request a couple days after we purchased the tv. There is no way a person can respond to these request that soon. You need to wait until after all work is completed. I also would like to tell you the i did appreciate getting 11 emails yesterday and couple calls. It should not have taken 11 emails and the phone calls to get this rescheduled. I still cant answer below questions because we dont have the replacement yet.

The picture looked good in the store. We've worked hard to try and get a great, crisp, clear picture, all to no avail. The people on the screen look flat. Also, the sound is horrible. You have to really turn up the volume to hear it. It has to be at 17. In my older Sony Bravia it's only at 8 or 9. The older Sonly has a better picture. I wanted another Sony to replace the Samsung, whose picture was going out.

      Hi Tazy,

We are sorry to hear you are having a frustrating experience with the picture quality and audio volume on your new 65" BRAVIA 5, especially after having such a positive experience with your older Sony model. For the picture, we recommend changing the Picture Mode from its current setting (likely Standard or Vivid) to Custom or Professional in the settings menu, as these modes are designed for the most natural, non-processed image which should remove the 'flat' look. Regarding the low volume, please check the Sound Settings and ensure the Volume Offset is set to the maximum value, and try performing a power cycle (unplugging the TV for 60 seconds) to clear any temporary software issues. If these steps do not resolve the issues, please contact our support team at https://us.esupport.sony.com/support/s/support-contact?language=en_US for a detailed setup walk-through.

      Thanks for choosing Sony.
