My 10 year old tv had backlit remote. Frustrating to try to use remote at night.

Clarity and colors of the picture are great! Sporting events are so clear on quick moves making it a joy to watch! Tis is my 3rd Sony of which 2 were Bravia's. We are glad you are enjoying the 4K picture on your BRAVIA 8 II! To improve older standard definition content, we recommend going into the "Clarity" settings and ensuring "Reality Creation" is set to Auto or a manual level of about 20, which helps intelligently restore lost detail. You can also try setting "Random Noise Reduction" and "Digital Noise Reduction" to Low to smooth out graininess often found in older movies without losing the cinematic feel.
