    I actually get my TV on July 9th and I am really excited to get it. I have been in the store to look at it a few times and the picture is just outstanding. Once I get it and get to watch it in my home I will update my review. Not sure how only 2 HDMI ports that are 2.1 will affect the set up.

    The Sony tv is great, but don't let roku take over the tv. Processor on Sony much better for my picture.

    The tv itself is phenomenal, but I never got to order it because Best Buy canceled my pick up order 3 times on it.

    I read some reviews, some complained about the darkness of screen, but given the brand name and high cost i trusted their product. It is not as good and the Samsung i replaced at $ 1K less. The screen is pretty dark, even at 100% brightness

      We are sorry to hear that your BRAVIA 8 II isn't meeting your expectations regarding brightness, especially after moving from your previous TV. We understand how disappointing it is when a premium product doesn't feel like a step up in every category.

      Since the K-65XR80M2 is an OLED, it excels in deep blacks and contrast, but certain "Eco" or "Power Saving" settings can sometimes aggressively dim the panel. We recommend checking that Auto Brightness (under Ambient Optimization) and Energy Saver modes are turned off, as these can limit the peak brightness even when your manual setting is at 100%.

    Sony bravia 8 ii tv review

    The picture is great, my issues are with the stand and the sound. The sound is horrible. The mid and upper frequencies are harsh and "tinny" sounding. Ive tried using the equalizer to tame the problem but now it sounds dull and the harshness is still there. I think its in the amp or crossover because if i connect my surround processor (i have to use optical, my surround processor doesn't have hdmi) the harshness is still there. I'm very disappointed in the sound, especially since I've read good reviews of it. I'm starting to think i have a defective unit. The stand, while there's nothing wrong with it per se, protrudes forward of the tv by a good amount, 6 , 7 inches. So the screen is set back from the edge of my stand by 7 inches. This is absolutely not a problem for most people, and honestly i don't know what else they could do. It is pretty stable. For me, i can't move my center channel speaker back flush with screen so i have to rest my delay. Also i need to move my left and right speakers back so they wont be flush with front of my stand. I know this is minor, nitpicky stuff. Its a 65 inch tv, the stand has to be in front and behind the screen. My old tv sat flush with front of the stand. The big issue, and its huge for me is the sound. It's horrible, fingernails on a chalkboard bad.

    Great picture but my opion, sports suck ,to much trailing in basketball while there running down court, football players are blurry at a distance. Lg was great and did not have these issues, over all great pic for movies, sports not so great.
