I LOVE THIS TV ! IT PROBABLY HAS MORE FEATURES THAN I NEED AND I'm STILL LEARNING HOW TO USE SOME OF THEM, ITS BRIGHT , ITS CLEAR, THE SOUND IS GREAT WITHOUT HAVING TO ADD ANYTHING i AM VERY SATISFIED IT WAS ON SALE SO THE PRICE WAS GOOD, AFTER PURCHASE IT WENT ON SALE EVEN CHEAPER WE TOOK THE AD TO BEST BUY AND THE REFUNDED THE DIFFERENCE WITH NO PROBLEM !! i HAVE ONE COMPLAINT THE REMOTE NEEDS TO BE BACKLIT !!!!!!!!!! OTHERWISE GREAT.

Exceptional picture quality with audio quality better than any other TV speakers I have heard. The TV has a very good selection of apps that are easy to install. Adjustments can very easily be tailored to personal taste via the 'Settings' option. OLED is the way to go ! The XR A80J represents great value for the dollar.

This TV is well worth the money!!! I have never got so many compliments from a TV's picture! Can never go wrong with Sony!

Best picture quality than the rest. I bought this TV 2 years ago and it still looks great and has better sound than most TVs had in the past.

The Sony 65" Class BRAVIA XR A80J Series OLED 4K UHD Smart Google TV is everything we could hope for. Best picture imaginable, easy to use, the Geek Squad setup was seamless and perfect. The price was even at a slight discount, which made it all even better. I have always been a fan of Samsung products and was ready to buy the comparable Samsung model, but I'm grateful to the BestBuy consultant who helped us land on this Sony model instead. Could not be happier.

Amazing picture. Went from old samsung lcd to this and it still blows my mind. Great picture quality contrast and brightness.

I was debating between this and the LG C1 for weeks. In the end, picture quality beat out VRR. Black Friday made the prices the same, so focus on the features. If you’re a gamer and need VRR, get the C1. If you primarily want to watch movies, sports and lower resolution content and occasionally play games like I do, get the Sony. The out of the box color calibration is incredible. I haven’t had the itch to change most of the settings. The LG OLEDs handle reflections a little better, but not enough for it to bug me. The audio is great, but if you really need room filling sound, get a sound bar. If you’re in a really bright room with direct light and don’t want to get the A90J, get a Samsung or the like. I use an Apple TV, so I don’t use Google TV, but the interface for managing the TV is ok, although there is a lot to it. Overall, this tv is stunning. The picture quality is on another level. I’ve been buying OLEDs for several years and this is my first Sony OLED. Couldn’t be happier with the purchase. My LG C9 is in our bedroom now and the 65” A80J is in the living room.

Great TV, love the picture, the google interface is great. Sound is good still debating if I will need a sound bar. Was spoiled with my old Mitsubishi with 18 speakers. The feet for the TV is amazing gives you multiple choices for spacing and height. Remote is ok needs a redesign, backlighting of buttons, channel buttons more toward the middle. It works fine, just hunting for buttons all the time. Glad to be back in the Sony TV family, everything else I have is Sony.

fantastic monitor . The picture is crystal sharp and balance even out of the box with little adjustment. We’ve had several Sony, LG and Samsung TVs and Sony has the best picture and consistently excellent scaling. They tend to be a little pricier than the others, but well worth the extra cost. they are built to last! Our last Sony TV still has a beautiful 1080p picture and over 10 years old going strong.

We bought the 55” A8H last fall (for the bedroom) and this 65” recently (for the living room). I would definitely recommend both of these Sony OLED models. I go back and forth between Sony and LG products, but currently, I think Sony is making the best TV’s on the market. We have 1 more tv in the house to upgrade to OLED (Family room), and I will most certainly be buying the larger (77”) version of this product. If you are having trouble trying to decide between Sony, LG, Vizio, Samsung etc, for me, it mostly comes down to the ease of operating the tv menus and addition functions available. All 4 brands have excellent picture quality (although Samsung doesn’t offer the true OLED), so if you are looking at all of them side by side and having a tough time making a decision, play around with the remote controls and tv functions, and check menu screens to see which one is the easiest for you to navigate and have fun with. I think you will find that Sony is currently the most user friendly. Thanks for reading. Again, I highly recommend all Sony TVs.

Gorgeous picture. Sound pretty good for a TV. Setup easy. My only complaint is the WiFi is flaky. Once I had to actually unplug the TV, wait a few seconds, and plug it back in before it would find my WiFi network. Also, sometimes when we turn it own it reports "disconnected from the network", and there's a minute wait before it reconnects. Wifi aside, it's a very nice TV

Amazing picture. Easy set-up. Super light. Brilliant colors. Bright brights and darker darks.

I spent a long time researching this TV and other OLEDs before making the decision to buy. I was concerned about a few key things that i had seen in other reviews. These concerns were: Brightness, Image Retention, and the obvious flaw with OLEDs - Burn In. I upgraded to this tv from a Vizio M series Quantum and I compared them side by side when I got my Sony installed. Brightness levels on this TV are on par for SDR content and even higher to my eye in highlight areas in HDR content with Peak Brightness setting turned to High. I did not consider the age of my old TV when getting brightness was a concern. Brightness concerns absolved. Image Retention was a concern and this issue is only present on certain units of this model. Since the A80J is not considered part of the Master Series, not every TV is observed by a tech before it is sent to shelves, whereas the A90J is. Upon setting up my A80J, i was able to determine that my panel did not have any Image Retention issues, therefore this concern was absolved as well. Burn in was and still is a concern. But, as this is a long term issue, i did the only thing that could have solved this issue. I purchased the 5 year Geek Squad Protection plan. The TV was $400 off, so i invested some of that into the protection. I am no longer concerned about Burn In since i know that would be covered under the extended warranty. I have no fear in keeping my brightness cranked when watching TV. This TV may not be the tippy top of the food chain, but once it is in your home, it will not disappoint. Highly recommend.

We were considering this tv and the more expensive XR A90J. I’m a major proponent of you get what you pay for, but I also make informed decisions. I read and watched a ton of online reviews and found the major differentiator came down to brightness. Our room has a lot of ambient light, but no direct sunlight in the direction of the screen, so the A80J came out on top for us. We’re very happy with the decision. The picture is amazing.

This set is almost as good as it gets. While there are 8k TVs on the market there is currently no 8k content. Most content is not even 4k. That said contrast of OLEDs in general is awesome. Most OLEDs are not as bright as LED TVs. This set is next to the top of the Sony 4k OLED line. Supposedly this one is not as bright as their top of the line. I could not tell a difference in the bright florescent lighting at the store. I have a smaller 48” Sony that is their top of the line and cannot tell the difference in the picture. While it is supposed be an advantage that the whole screen acts as a speaker, when not connected to a surround system or sound bar the sound to me sounds echoic. Nevertheless it probably does still sound better without sound bar or system than most alternates that have down or back firing speakers. For those who will have it on a stand, the base feet are too short to permit space for even a small sound bar underneath. That is probably not an issue of the base stand has enough room for either sound bar or system. Out of the box IMO color balance was natural but color was too intense looking garish at times. Reducing color intensity from the factory 60% solved that, This is the first set I have had that did not need to have the picture adjusted with help from a setup DVD or Blu-Ray (other than reducing intensity). I also have a Sony 4k Blu-Ray and was surprised that when that is turned on the TV goes on by itself and changes to the Blu-Ray input automatically. When done with that there is a TV button on the remote that one step returns to cable input. It is a disappointment that the remote is not back lighted in a set in this price range. Many watch in relatively dark rooms and that feature is missed.

Sony A80J Oled TV is awesome you don't need to spend for any sound bar, color and quality all my is more than 5 Stars.
