Fantastic one of the best television I’ve ever bought user friendly, amazing picture and sound 10/10

The Sony A80J is much nicer than the LG C1 that it replaced. Picture is better and controls/menu are easier. I had always read that the A80J outperformed the LG C1 but I went for the $300 savings. A lightning bolt gave me the chance to see that the $300 was worth the differance. BB was great getting my new replacement to me and installed quickly.

I have been looking at Sony OLED TV's for a few months now, thinking I would wait til Black Friday to purchase. To my surprise these A80J models went on sale a couple weeks ago, low enough for me to pull the trigger and purchase. I first bought the 77" model, wanting a bigger TV then the Sony 65" I was replacing, but after purchasing online then going to the store and actually seeing how much bigger it was, we decided to go back to the 65" and it was the right choice. This TV is beautiful right out of the box, haven't touched a setting at all. Watching the NLCS or any NFL game is like being there. Hooked up my Sony 4K DVD player, my PS5 and my Samsung sound bar and they all look and sound great. Cant say enough about this TV, so glad I purchased this over another LED. One other quick thing, the speakers on this TV are much better than other previous flat screen I have owned.

From selecting the right tv to getting it installed, Best Buy and Geek Squad were top shelf. Again. At the time of purchase, they asked the right questions. Both associates steered me to the best fit instead of the highest price. What I ended up getting was certainly a higher-ticket item, but it wasn't the most expensive. There were too many to choose from, but after a few minutes, we narrowed it down to the right product. I have been a longtime user of their Geek Squad plan. They shared with me a particular plan that would cover the installation as well as removal of two prior big screen tv's I needed to get rid of at some point. Without the plan, I would have spent more to get it installed and to dispose/recycle the old tv's. That's great value. At the time of install, we came across problems. The two Geek Squad techs found ways to make it work. I needed a replacement mount for the old one, which I thought we could use. It turns out the mount was twisted and rusted. They happened to have another mount with them, which they installed. Yes, I had to pay for it but it was better than using the old bad mount or having to acquire another mount and reschedule the install. It could have been disappointing. Instead, Best Buy did their job and we were watching movies that night on our new OLED tv. Almost all my Best Buy experiences are like this story.

Between this one and the LG, I picked this one A80J. After about 6 months of research and hours of youtube watching, I was going to get an OLED tv. The price for a 65 inch TV is the same (right now) so that wasn't a decision that needed to be made. The Sony comes with ATSC 3.0, which is 4k over the air, when it is available in the area. Otherwise, I could not tell the difference between the two TVs after many hours of viewing at BESTBUY (with various shows, sports and movies), over the course of the last three months. I probably don't have the perfect eye for a perfect TV, but this TV is gorgeous. After setup, and yes each app needs to be logged in but most can be logged in on a computer and a key is sent to the TV by wifi or ethernet, everything worked flawlessly. First movie we watched was Black Widow and looks like we wont' be back to the movie theaters for along time. The sound is OK, but I have been using a 5.1 Sony receiver for the last year which is a huge improvement (The A80 recognizes the receiver and connected perfectly). Celebrate the Holidays Early!

Wow! What a fantastic tv and picture. After holding off and talking myself out of an upgrade for several years, I finally treated myself to a top of the line screen. Jumping from a 50" 1080p to a 4K OLED HDR panel was always going to be a big leap in quality, but I am absolutely stunned. Everything is so sharp. Contrast and blacks are great. Gaming on my PS5 is smooth. Just love this tv.

My first Sony TV ever and I’m in wonderland. Absolutely stunning video quality because of the post processing - Sony’s Forte! Had an LG E8 OLED before this and this TV makes other OLED’s look like normal televisions. Love the 3-way stand and setup convenience.. Wish it had more HDMI 2.1 ports but hey.. something is better than nothing and there’s ways to work around that. It has GoogleTV which I’m sure is better than any other built-in SmartTV players but I’m an AppleTV guy and there’s no competition there when it comes to outputting stunning videos and pictures.Paired it with my existing Bose 700 surround setup and I’m loving it. Absolutely recommend this combination and the TV!

This is a fantastic tv. Picked this up for my parents because the Q90T (tv I bought a few months before this) was out of stock and I was blown away. It being OLED gives a nice picture and the Dolby Atmos built in is a nice touch. Setup was easy and connecting to a sound bar was easy too. Found this on sale but even with full price.

I truly am impressed! The video image output from this TV is as they say visually stunning. I may not be a visually discerning videophile as some people are, but I couldn't be more pleased with any of the content I have watched on it so far. This includes 4K UHD, Blu-Ray, and DVD. Thus far I have been unable to stream any content but will do so in the near future. Given the TV's past performance I'm sure I will be pleased with streaming results as well. I've only had this product for a short time and have not totally learned every facet about it. Having said that I feel product use has been easy and straightforward. I've seen it said that some say this model of TV is not the best compared to other brands for gaming. This may be true for hardcore gamers but at my level I'm sure I will be more than pleased based on its past performance. I'm also satisfied very much so with the Esthetics and build quality. As far as the sound performance is concerned I am only using the TV itself so far. I am really loving the volume output as well as the richness of sound. I must say that the TV itself is just one part of the equation. So in full disclosure, I have paired this product with a Panasonic DP-UB9000. Concerning the TV itself if you are wanting a wonderful picture and sound, I say go for it! Very worth it for the price!

This TV has the clearest picture of any TV we have ever owned. Set up was fairly easy, and the fact that it has the 3 way multi position stand worked great on the TV stand and sound we already owned. Only issue is that we have had it switch to Google Search mode on its own about 5 or 6 times in the time we owned it. Will need to contact support regarding this minor issue.

Our TV was set-up a couple of days ago and loving it so far! Beautiful picture and colors and true black. We were told on purchase that the sound quality on these tv’s may be off and that we may want to think about getting a sound bar. However there is absolutely no problem with the sound. It sounds amazing.

I haven't bought a TV in 10 years since my last Sony 55". I have always been a fan of Sony and when I saw this one, It was a no brainer. The picture quality blew all the others away. The in screen speakers sound like stereo; however, I did purchase a Sony sound bar at a bundle price. It is very easy to setup and use and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend this TV.

Had multiple issues with this order, but could not have been happier and more satisfied with my local Best Buy store. Usually buy my appliances from this store because of the courtesy of every person I’ve spoke to there through the years. Tv is fabulous!! Color, sound, sharpness

Simply put, this set is amazing. I'm actually losing sleep from staying up all night staring at it since it looks so good. My prior TV was a 60" Panasonic plasma, which was no slouch. This blows it away. I did need to tweak the image settings to get a perfect picture for my room, but once set up properly everything is incredible. Rich colors, bright (but detail filled) brights and the deepest blackest blacks I've ever seen. I'm a professional video editor and I stare at broadcast grade monitors all day long. I can honestly say this is right up there with the best of the best. Additionally, the audio is probably the best self contained sound I've heard in any flat screen TV. We watched a broadway concert video prior to setting up our external surround system, and I was surprised at the high quality provided by the set alone. I'd say for many people that might be all you need-- it's that good. Once you experience OLED, there is no going back. Glad I made this choice, I'm very satisfied.

The Sony XR-65A80J is an amazing TV. The picture quality is unbelievable as well as the audio. This unit looked better at home than in the store. The picture is clear, the colors are amazing and details are spectacular. Both PS5 and Xbox series X look and preform better than expected. The Best Buy TotalTech team did an excellent job with the set up.
