Excellent resolution and honestly, probably more bells and whistles than we will ever figure out how to optimize in our household. Great for sports! Cant speak to the sound quality since it is connected to surround sound but I'd imagine if you are spending this much in a world of cheap TV's, you'll have it connected to quality sound.
