Bravia Connection Requirements

Would have been nice for salesperson to clue us in. Our receiver, although not that old does not sync with the 1080 dpi. We have to run new cables and relocate to different ports in order to get things in order. Luckily we have a friend who can help. I think we would have still purchased, but salesperson should not take for granted we knew what was necessary to hook this up. Thanks

I'm underwhelmed.

I needed to hire the Geek Squad to get it accomplished. You would figure a "smart" tv and a "smart" user together could get it up and running, but no. And I was disappointed that I didn't end up with the wonderful picture they had in the store. I have U-Verse for my service, and apparently the picture will remain blurry because of the source. And the sound is also disappointing. I am a bit hard of hearing and I bought the tv hoping the sound would be better than my old tv, or at least louder. But again, no. I guess if I want improved volume I'll need a sound bar. The end result is just meh. I spent 2k and basically I ended up with the same tv I left behind; maybe a little brighter, but really much ado about nothing.

Sony vs LG

It was between Sony & LG, I know LG makes both panels but the Sony processor is years ahead of LG. There is a reason Sony is always on the top of the lists this TV helps to prove that it’s worth the money.

Sony products never let you down. The Sony TV replaced was 9 years old and working fine with no issues, thus upgrading to this model was a no brainer. Amazing TV but bad customer service from Best Buy

Placed the order this TV through the app. Went to the store the next day and the employees helped me load the tv into my vehicle. Got home and went to town assembling my new OLED TV. got everything put together and I randomly looked at the model number and serial number sticker. They gave me the incorrect TV which was worth $800 less than the one I purchased. Instantly tried calling the store to fix the problem. I was rerouted to a call center overseas. The person on the phone would not escalate the situation to any higher up and only offered me a $50 gift card to compensate me for my time and frustration. That was not acceptable to me since they almost received an extra $800 from me without providing me the TV I ordered. I had to box the TV back up and bring it back to the store with was half and hour away without traffic. I explained to customer service the situation and they were able to somewhat help me out. Still upset that this happened and not happy with how it was handled. But this TV is awesome.

Too complicated for average customer like myself. I have to use a Comcast remote and the Sony Remote. Set up by Best Buy agent was lousy. Now Impossible to get Best Buy on the phone. Feel frustrated, like I don't want it anymore. It's a $2,000 dollar TV and it has no set-up diagram to follow.

Amazing but… arc/earc still buggy

This is hands down the best TV I’ve had (also own a A9G master series) however the inclusion of Bravia Core streaming service through the TV make the earc problems way more frustrating. Once they get earc to be 100% reliable and flawless then this will be the TV to beat.
