It's got a very slick and intuitive interface and getting things optimized with my audio receiver and various inputs only required a minor amount of tinkering before everything was working exactly as I wanted. Making the upgrade from LED to OLED is like removing a window I didn't know was there but now that it's open, I can't imagine ever closing it again. True Black levels have never looked this good in my house. It's only slight frustrating that it can't do Dolby Vision at the same time as VRR so for example, if you want to play games at 120fps but also want to watch a 4K Blu-ray in Dolby Vision, you'll need to make a few changes to the display settings first. It's not very hard to do, but it's still a little cumbersome. But honestly, I love this TV to much to let that minor inconvenience knock off a star. This is a stellar TV and getting it on sale for $1999 made it even better.

Great OLED TV

Great picture, the blacks are deep, the colors are rich, but not artificially so and the motion rate is a big upgrade over our previous Sony (that's still going strong 11 years later).

The only downsize is the TV is very expensive and lack hardware so I removed one star. Sound quality of the TV is amazing but I bout a JBL 500 sound bar and it works great with the tv producing great sound

Probably a better TV than I actually need

I really like Sony TVs because they have the option to turn off the picture so I can fall asleep to the sound of my TV without the light bothering me. So in that way, it continues to be great. To my eyes it looks great with the PS5, my PC and an AppleTV, and it has 4 HDMI connections which is 1 more than any TV I've had. So far it's been great, I wish I could see well enough to appreciate the VRR when using it with the PS5. I use it with a Sony HT-A3000 soundbar so I can't say much about the built in sound but they work seamlessly together. I can say compared to my last Sony TV, which I had frequent issues with, this has worked without issue. And the picture does seem pretty good.

Not because the competitive unit was not working, but the overall visual experience was lacking. We had purchased 2 yrs ago a Sony 65" XBR65X900F for our MBR and after installation by The Geek Squad, we were blown away by the rich and vibrant colors, it was hard to watch a football game or a Netflix movie on the FR competitive TV. This new Sony A80L is unbelievable, even better than the Sony 900F in our MBR. The sound quality is also amazing. Even with the sound bar, Sony has this center channel audio capability in the TV where the voices seem to come right out of the screen. Now we can hear actual voices. The 55" competitive unit got moved to the basement.
