Upgraded a 12 yo Sony 1080p so this a major step up. Be sure to have a substantial a home network with bandwidth capable of 110mb/sec if you plan to take advantage of the Bravia Core feature. Badic setup provided by Sony is good but you may need to tweak brightness and color intensity. My A80L is a bit too bright with white objects. Reds can be a bit too brilliant at times. I use a home theater so cant really judge the audio of the A80L.

I use the apps and found no need to subscribe to a TV service provider with all of the free TV. That is important since I purchased this TV for my second home.

It's been very good since but I'm wondering if the Samsung would have been a better option. I chose the Sony since it was the same price but a deeper discount sale price thinking I was getting a better TV for the same money. I've been a Samsung fan for years so maybe it's just an adjustment to the picture. OLED was advertised as a huge upgrade, but I haven't seen the leap in picture quality to make it worth the $2k. Maybe it's just my old eyes - we'll see... : )

There have been no issues with audio or visual quality, no issues with the software freezing or anything like that. Would definitely recommend.

Allows the TV to do all it can. Razor sharp. I got a sound bar but honestly I may move that to another room; this A80L has the best sound I've heard on a flat screen. Last comment: It's OLED, so they say not as bright as other tech, but in my room with little ambient light it is PLENTY bright.

I was looking at the Samsung 90C and LG C3 until I saw them display the same images side by side at Best Buy. The Sony picture is better, hands down. The upscaling of older streamed shows is very good. The menu is intuitive and fast and easy to navigate with the remote. The online manual is lacking detail and not very helpful.

Hands down, the Sony Bravia A80L is an awesome TV for fantastic 4K experience. Integrated seamlessly with both my 4K Apple TV and my Dolby Atmos receiver. Would recommend this product for anyone looking for the nest overall value without sacrificing features and/or quality.
