    I bought a Sony TV (Sony - 65" Class BRAVIA XR A80L OLED 4K UHD Smart Google TV). in Jan 2024. Boy I love it! The idea that the screen is the loudspeaker blow me away. I hate the tv with loudspeakers on the back. The best part is that the direction of sound is dynamic, that is it come where the sound is, not just from the center of TV. The picture is awesome too.

    I had this tv since 9-23. The picture quality is really good. Works well with the sound bar I bought. The thing that is bad is the wifi receiver in tv. I do not have problems with any other item in my home.

    I was debating between this and the Sony A90J so I went to a Best Buy with both on display and the image processing is slightly different. The A90J has a slightly darker and warmer color image than the A80L but that could be due to the settings at the store. The black levels are perfect and the colors look pretty true to life especially in a dark room. Overall it’s a great option for a room that isn’t too bright.

    Sooo glad I went to Best Buy instead of buying online. The expertise of the Best Buy associate that helped me decide on the Sony A80L was invaluable. I am so happy with my new Sony. I love everything about the tv from the magnificent picture to the fantastic Google interface. I can’t under emphasize how glad I am I went to Best Buy instead of blindly buying a TV on a website.     The TV looks very nice and everything you see looks very good. It was purchased back on December 2023 and has only been on for about 60 days at most averaging 4 hours per day being on. Now on July 2025 it stopped working out of nowhere. I only use it with my personal computer to game and nothing more. I also have other tvs of different brands and are on like 16 hrs a day everysingle day and have never had an issue with the other brands and are cheaper. This time I decided to spend more for a better looking one and happens it is more delicate and has been used a few times only for gaming. It is very disappointing to pay for something more expensive and better looking tv so that it stops working while I was about to start playing a game. I personally do not recommend this tv. And now I had to call service to get it repaired. Never had problems with an LG or Samsung tvs for gaming and those are years about 6 years old. The picture quality is expectional for the sony tv I bought and was expecting for it to last years, but it came to be very delicate for gaming for what I see, so not worth it.

    Not one bad thing I can say about it. Works perfect in my game room and if you have a ps5 the setting automatically optimize. Also not tk mention if you buy a sony sound bar for it and subwoofer and connect via arc it is all integrated through the single tv remote. I honestly dont know how I played my ps5 before with out it the 120hz and oled.
