||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I hate this TV, wanted the Samsung but the salesman talked me into this pile, I had a QLED and feel I’ve downgraded, the picture sucks, the ARC is about useless so I have to have the soundbar remote to control sound. I will be buying the Samsung 65 like I wanted, can’t return this junk as I’m 3 days over, just a joke, NOT HAPPY! My kid will be getting a free 65” Sony. I won’t be back.

Better options for price point
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would not recommend this tv. For the price, the picture quality is not AMAZING. A also own a Samsung TV that is in the same price range, and it much much better. The picture does not seem bright enough, and when we change the settings to vivid, it is WAY too bright. There are no betweens.

Posted .Hi D4RkKnght,
Thank you for telling us about your experience with your BRAVIA XR X90L. We regret to hear that it hasn't performed to your standards particularly with the picture quality of this TV. Please allow us to help you and turn this into a better experience.
The quality of the source is a big factor in getting an excellent picture quality. Having said that, picture mode settings provide preset adjustments for the type of picture you are viewing. Picture settings also allow a wide array of changes to color, contrast, clarity, and brightness that can improve the viewed content on your Google TV. The picture quality may improve if you change it in [Picture] under [Settings].

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Screen went to black 3 weeks after purchase. ||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At this point we hate it! The technology is such you can not adequately program and operate the TV, UNLESS YOU PAY FOR A TECH TO COME OUT...and they dont know how to operate it either. There were absolutely no understandable instructions. Currently its off and stuck on one channel. WE HATE IT!

Best purchase ive made this year
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sony 65" BRAVIA XR A84L OLED TV, the initial setup from the box was pretty straight forward and was easy to follow. The whole setup to get the TV switched on was no longer than 10 minutes. I immediately signed into all my streaming services from Amazon Prime to Apple TV. This TV has allowed me to remove the need for a streaming box to run my services, I used to use a Apple TV 4k that has now been put back in it's box. I went full vanilla and removed my soundbar too, so I could get the full experience of the forward facing speakers behind the OLED screen. The positives: So there are a multitude great things to talk about with this TV, beginning with the best part the picture quality is utterly stunning I upgraded from an LG OLED to the Bravia and the difference is night and day. Whether watching a Imax enhanced 4k movie on Disney+ or Bravia Core to a SD video on YouTube the TV seems to make everything crisp and vivid. Especially the Ultra HD content is some of the best quality I have seen outside of the Cinema. The picture quality continues its impressive display when you hook up a PS5 to it, using the included 120hz HDMI port I found my PS5's visuals in games like God of War Ragnarok and Star Wars Jedi Survivor went from great to amazing. That coupled with the VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) and game mode made the games play flawlessly. When they added the tag Perfect for PlayStation they weren't kidding! The sound is both a love and hate relationship for me during my first week with the TV, you can really hear the different with the Dolby Atmos and the built speakers do pack a surprising punch for the audio but they do also carry me on to the only negative I have about the TV. The ease of use of the home menu or the included Bravia Core with 24 months of free streaming and 15 tokens to use on some new titles is a real plus, it has ended up being a stream service I didn't know I needed and have watch a surprising amount of things on it. By choice I don't use a cable TV or Sky box and so I do all my TV viewing through on demand and streaming from all the major streaming companies, this TV has them all so I have been able to continue and enjoy my programs in best quality I have seen them so far. The Negative: It is such a minor thing but once I noticed it, it was hard not to un-notice it. The sound has some great punch and depth to it but it does miss on the bass and sometimes movies can sound a little tinny. I found playing with the equaliser did remedy most of the tinny noise but a soundbar with a subwoofer would probably remedy this small issue. Just as an additional I really do love the included smart remote which allowed me to control everything with just the push of 1 of the 6 included quick start buttons allowing me to get to YouTube or Disney+ with ease, also it lights up in the dark so I don't need to turn my light on at night! My overall impression of the Sony 65" BRAVIA XR A84L OLED TV has been fantastic and I look forward to how they advance their TV range going forward.

Returned the Samsung S90C for the Sony A80L
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I initially bought the Samsung S90C, but ended up with the Sony A80L instead. Why? The upscaling of lower quality content on the Sony is SIGNIFICANTLY better than Samsung. Streamed sports with the ESPN app were borderline unwatchable on the Samsung. If you care about accurate colors and upscaling of lower quality content, get a Sony. There is one downside to this TV. If you have a bright room, you may want to consider a Samsung or LG. The TV isn't too dark, but definitely noticeably darker than the Samsung S90C.

Posted .Hi Dale,
You definitely made the right choice! We're glad you like the colors and upscaling features of your new Sony TV. Picture quality depends on the signal and content. If you feel that the picture is dark, the A80L has picture settings which allow a wide array of changes to color, contrast, motion settings, and brightness that can improve the viewed content on your TV.
