Uniformity issues and degraded color rendered it unwatchable. Mounted the X90J, powered it up and “aaaaaahhhh” night and day difference over the Q70A. Rich color, uniform picture, and clear details. Is this the best TV out there, no. However, this has exceeded my expectations.

Nice TV with Unfortunate Apple TV Issue

Overall we're pleased with the picture quality, setup was fairly simple, and the familiar Google tv operating system is smooth so far. My only gripe is with the apple tv app. There's a known issue that causes the app to fail and I've wasted far too much time trying to resolve something that should work out of the box. We are still unable to successfully use the apple tv app so if you are counting on that, I would not recommend any Sony smart tv.

The picture was a huge upgrade from a four year old XBR. What caused me to upgrade is mainly input lag and bad quality in the blacks in the recent model I had. Reviews said the Samsung QLed90 was the best tv, but the cost is too high. I am beyond thrilled with this tv for the price!

I purchased this TV with two OLEDs for bedrooms. Hard to see the difference in picture. This one has a full array picture; not sure what that is buy looks great. Picture and sound on this TV are just as good as the OLEDs. Set up is easy and works flawlessly. I love the remote with the sound set up.

I am very happy with this TV except for the 'Audio Return Channel' feature. It is a pain in the butt. It is a great idea, BUT it leaves a lot to be desired. I would think Sony could come up with an update to repair this ARC problem. The picture freezes occasionally when using the ARC. I have to cut the tv off to reset it. The sound on one channel may need to be on volume 18. Another channel may need to be on 6. You have to remember to turn the sound down before changing to another channel. If not you sound will blow you out or be so low that you can't hear the sound bar. I would think it should have a volume leveler. That is my only negative thought on what is a very nice TV. I rated the TV 'Excellent' because the picture is so nice and I couldn't give the Sony a lower rating because of the ARC problem. Go online and you will see many people complaining about the ARC feature. Maybe the Sony people have made improvements on the ARC on there newer TV's.???? I hope so.

I love to watch the Vegas Golden Knights which is a very fast moving sport and the 120 refresh rate makes the speed of the fame amazingly clear. Sound is good. Waited for the lowest sale price in my area. Paid $1,199.

However, there already a dead pixel in middle of screen that's quite irritating. We spent months comparing TV's in similar price point and still believe this is the best option. We contacted Sony support, which they need to improve. Quality Control needs improved for these types of things considering they don't do anything about it unless there's a lot. This is not the most expensive TV nor the cheapest - we just feel that in this price range and higher, shouldn't have any issues. Regardless of the one issue with the pixel, the picture quality is great, super bright and colors are great. The speakers are actually not that bad either, overall a great TV - Sony just needs to step up their QC on the small stuff like pixels considering it does affect how you view the TV.
