Not Sorry I Made This Choice

I decided to step into the 4K technology and I also purchased a Sony 4K DVD player as a companion. I can't say enough about the picture. Crisp, clear and bright. I will admit that the only trouble I had is that I couldn't get it to pair with my receiver and sound system. No amount of menu choices would let it happen. My receiver is a 20 year old Philips but I really have grown fond of it because it has enough room to connect anything to it...just not HDMI. But as I found out it does have an optical cable connection as does the TV so by using one of those it solved my problem and because that is a digital connection it's even better than I had with the old Bravia. My sub-woofer nearly shook me out of my chair. I would highly recommend this TV to anyone who is stepping up and can't decide how to go. But I also recommend getting the 4K DVD player because it's very true that it enhances your current BluRay discs as well as your older DVD's. The TV picture does them all justice.

We spent the extra money for the OLED on the other TV. This TV went in a basement and looks great but the picture is just not as amazing as the OLED. That aside everything about this TV is great. The picture across the screen is consistent. It offers an abundance of apps and the setup only took a few minutes.

It was very easy to figure out how to use and has so many short cuts to moving from TV to Streaming to Prime and Netflix and You Tube it is unbelievable. The picture is fantastic. Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a very good television!

Google TV is excellent, even better than I remember from using with the original Chromecast. I was a Roku user until recently, I have a Roku hooked up to the TV and haven't used it for at least a month.

The motion and color can't be beat. I went in to buy a Samsung model having always been a Samsung tv guy, but when compared to this one side by side, there was barely even a choice to be had. This Sony blew it away in every respect.

Sony TV and Sound Bar

The TV is working well. Beautiful picture. Sadly, this TV is in a sunroom so we get glare and see all the windows in the room. It is tolerable, though. If we could have waited we would have. We understand that this model is going to come out with the anti-glare screen in September. That will make this a great model all around. The Sony sound bar to go along with the Sony X90J Bravia sounds great. We are having trouble though with the woofer. It is Bluetooth connected but loses the connection more than it keeps it. And, yes, we do have good connection in that room with other devices, so not sure why this is having trouble. Had to go to store a few times before we got a salesperson who really understood the different models of TV's. He was excellent and could answer our questions. And, I had quite a few questions and it didn't bother him at all. He was very helpful and patient with his answers and his time. I wish more of the employees were as well versed on the electronics.

Both the image and the sound quality is excellent. Apple TV/airplay works great with the iPad. There is very low latency. All things considered very happy with this purchase cannot think of anything negative to say. We bought this TV because of the ATSC 3.0 Standard as we use an antenna. The next GEN stations are not broadcasting in our area yet but we hope to have it within a year. We're looking at 7 to 8 year life on the TV

I think I made the right choice with the Sony X90J. As soon as I hooked it up to our home system and turned it on, it was a truly pleasurable experience. Picture quality is superb even at 1080p, which is our cable TV resolution. 4K sources are totally unbelievable! The 4K content found through the internet and some 4K Blu Ray discs we’ve watched were fantastic. The Google TV is amazing and there is a large choice of apps available. One of my favorites is Pluto TV. Buying this TV during Super Bowl portion helped saved a few hundred dollars and part of those savings went into premium HDMI cables. Trust me, go for the best cables, the cheaper quality ones can’t give you the full benefits of such a fine TV. Glad I made this investment. Sony has a reputation for longevity and , if anything like my old Trinotron from the 80’s, this TV should be around for a while.

Perfect natural colors right out of the box

The youtube app is fast when searching. I had a Samsung TV in the past and it was very slow to just type or do a simple search on youtube. This TV is super bright as well and perfect for gaming. It up scales hd signals to 4k flawlessly.

I was hesitant at first to spend a few extra dollars for the full array model but I am glad that I did. The only thing I would suggest is a way to hook up older stereo systems. I have in wall speakers that I can't use due to limited plug -in formats.

Best picture you can get outside of the expensive OLEDs.
