Had a hard time getting it to where I was satisfied. I wanted the TV for sporting events and it does a good job with that. Had a 6 year old 55" Samsung that I think the picture was better.

The one thing sony fails to advertise with this tv is the Bravia core app which has a free 1 year subscription with the tv, its an immersive imax experience program. Yeah so anyways the tv is awesome. The apps and google program run so smoothly.

The TV has beautiful picture quality and it is a must have if you want to watch 4K Ultra HD movies. The only knock I would give is the sound is “meh” but if you are going to have a TV like this, you are not doing yourself any justice by not having a good quality soundbar to pair with the TV. My movie viewing experience is the best it’s ever been now and it’s going to be hard to leave the comfort of my own home to watch movies elsewhere.

My wife would leave me. I (we) are very pleased with this purchase. Fantastic picture. It handles motion very, very well. Watch a Blue Ray on it and be blown away. Plug it into the proper receiver and a healthy stereo set-up and its like you're at the movies. It takes up a lot of space though. Wouldn't mind getting another one for downstairs but she'd probably leave me if I did. My home is old, my TV is new. I should probably up the value rating but I won't because it can't all be perfect but I do love this TV and I highly recommend it.

Exchanged for this Sony, what a difference. The picture is incredible. Watching travel channels felt like I was there and Avatar on blu ray looked 3D unlike on the TCL.For $200 more (on sale for $1199) than the TCL it was well worth it. It hasn't shut down or changed programming by itself like the TCL. I dont like the legs as well but I can get used to them for the awesome picture. My surround sound just quit but the TV speakers aren't terrible. I would definitely recommend it.

Wife and I needed a tv for the bedroom and we have the Sony 950 from 2020 in the living room. We love the colors and the blacks as well. For an LED the blacks are pretty dark. Besides the picture quality, tvs are Dolby atmos and vision ready. On top of that they’ve stepped up the number of apps available. you name it, from Netflix to NFL including Sunday ticket. Tv is able to recognize devices via input and automatically switches to the input once turned on. LG OLEDs are nice, but you can’t beat the quality and technology of sony tvs. I had a LG OLED B7 that crapped out in 3 years and no help from LG. I’ve owned 4 sony tvs in the past 20 years, and none of them ever died on me. The only reason I kept buying them was to upgrade to a higher quality. Sony should give me $$$ for this review.

So Far So Good

Coming from a 47" 1080p tv to this is a huge upgrade. The picture quality is amazing in all the modes we have used so far. Wifi connection to the home network was simple. The Google TV is pretty cool too and there is an amazing amount of free channels that are streamed, including some major city broadcasts. All the different apps baked in make it easy to connect to Netflix, AmazonPrimeVideo, Apple TV, Youtube, etc. We used to have a computer connected to our old setup and this is so much slicker.

Worth the buy!

Issues are occasionally it disconnected from the internet and my Sonos soundbar via optical doesn’t play nice with it. Minor issues with an otherwise excellent tv.

We went up 15" from our last decade old plasma TV and it is a noticable difference in the clarity of the picture. It does need a darker room as it willl reflect light off the screen. With Best Buy financing (about $70/mo.) it was an easy choice to get this set. We had a roku which, at times, was a waiting game. The remote on this has buttons for direct access to Netflix, Prime, and Disney...no waiting!
