It’s the largest tv we have ever had, by comparison. The picture quality for streaming tv (no gaming yet...) is amazing and it actually has pretty good sound considering flat screen tv sound is normally “tin-ny” and very low. We will still be putting in a surround sound, but overall, it’s the best we have heard from stock. Hopefully, this lasts us a while. We have had Insignia’s in the past which gave us years of use and LG’s which died within a few quick years. Anyway, out of the box, it’s an amazing TV. We love it!

The features are awesome. They make switching between streaming and regular air tv a breeze unlike the eight year old model that was more like the equivalent of getting the big wrench out and turning the TV antenna to pick up channels when we were kids. The Sony, on the other hand, was just like changing the channel. Google TV runs all of the apps I use, unlike the other TV OS. I honestly can't find a single bad thing about the new TV. I'm glad I made the switch.

I have to admit I have a prejudice for Sony TVs as I have always liked the quality of the picture on the Sony's compared to all the other brands playing side by side. Picking this TV was no different. The Full Array LED was definitely the best picture in clarity and brightness. The only TVs that looked better to me was more than double the cost of this one for the same screen size. It used OLED technology. I only rated this 4-Stars only because the OLED was a better picture. I didn't want to afford the quality of OLED

Second time is a charm

Took it back to Best Buy (not that easy to do, but luckily I have a pickup truck) and got another one. This one is working perfectly. 65 inch screen seems real big at first, but we got used to it quickly. Bought this to replace a 50 inch LG, and the picture is noticeably better and the Home Screen makes it easy to access apps and streaming services. Lots of ways to personalize the user interface as well as the picture.

Terrific TV … and that remote!

Love the new GooglePlay interface. But believe it or not, one of the biggest surprises is the remote. Have purchased Harmony universal remotes for years. But with this TV and OS controlling everything in our system is a breeze. TV, streaming, cable box, 4K blu-ray player and HT receiver all a breeze to set up and control. Logitech is no longer producing its Harmony remotes, but with this Sony remote and interface they are no longer needed. Bravo, Sony! Best TV remote out there.

The stand mounts are a great idea. No screws, just insert and they're friction held so they pull right out easy for moving. Sony needs to develop a center style base stand or at least move the current leg mounts in as much as possible so we don't need such a long table to set this large television on. Sony also needs to sell their products with two LIGHTED remotes, maybe even rechargeable remotes. For a high end top quality expensive supposedly thoughtful company to neglect being generous with remotes and their designs isn't very good. Overall it's a beautiful television.

Sony 65” XJ90

This new unit has a good picture out of the box in standard , there’s nothing wrong with it but my previous unit was just aged but sharper and little better coloring aspects because it was calibrated by geek squad. When I went to schedule this u it to be calibrated I was told that they no longer offered the calibration service because the picture quality from the factory was good. Yes it is a great picture but I can tell a difference from the previous tv I owned. But the factory picture settings in this unit out of the box is a better picture quality that the previous unit was out of the box until I had it calibrated.
