Not worth all the hassle! Bad quality x2

We bought it to replace an almost 14 year old 50” Panasonic plasma TV (which still worked perfectly, but we wanted to upgrade). The TV we purchased initially from Best Buy had an amazing picture, but we soon noticed an awful/distorted sound quality. It was as if the speakers were missing some of the bass sound and everything sounded ‘tinny.’ We called Best Buy to try and exchange it, but they said they dont accept returns on TV’s and that we would have to deal with Sony Customer Service. After many phone calls and submitting a claim through Sony, they agreed to replace our TV under warranty. Now, our new/replacement TV has great sound, but the picture is bad! When watching certain programs that have a solid color background (ie: ice hockey or golf), we noticed dark vertical shadows on the screen. Once again, we have to deal with Sony Customer Service who want us to submit photos of the issues. We are hopeful that we can get another new TV under warranty. Maybe 3rd time is the charm? Either way, we would not have purchased this TV had we known what a hassle it turned into. Buyer beware!

Wouldn't turn on after 3 months ownership

Sometimes unplugging and plugging back in would work, but eventually after only 3 months of owning it, maybe watching TV on it 10 times, it stopped working. Not the first Sony I've owned that had this issue.

Great Screen. Terrible Audio.

I don’t know why a manufacturer would not put time and effort into the audio of their television but it’s rather annoying. I shouldn’t need to buy a sound bar either. We should worry less about being “smart” and worry more about the televisions features.

They were careful not to damage anything in our home. They cleaned up all the dust & dirt after the install. My wife & I are older, but they spent an extra hour explaining and patiently teaching us how to work all the new equipment. This has been a great experience.

The motion on this TV is unreal.my only compliant is the build quality is a step down the all plastic frame is cheap looking for a $1700 TV.
