I almost never give negative reviews, but after not even owning the TV for 6 months, we have to buy a new one. I don't want to deal with all of the BS, so I would rather buy a new one. It is glitchy! It just shuts off on it's own, the sound goes in and out, if it works at all and doesn't require the TV to be restarted to get sound working again. It was so bad yesterday, that we started using our AppleTV box again, and now I can't get the TV to recognize the Cable Box and keeps defaulting to the Media Box. Please do yourself a favor and buy another brand, because Sony has clearly stopped focusing on quality.

Thank you for the feedback on using your X90J 4K HDR Google TV. We're sorry to hear about the audio drops out issue and the TV shuts off by itself. This is definitely not the experience we wanted you to have in our product. Please allow us to help you and turn this into a better experience. If you haven't yet, you can isolate these issues by following the troubleshooting steps below.
Verify if the TV turns off at regular intervals such as 30 minutes to an hour, or if the TV turns on or off when an HDMI-connected device is powered on or off:
• If your TV turns on or off at regular intervals, such as 30 minutes to an hour, it's likely caused by power saving functions such as Idle TV Standby, On Timer, and Sleep Timer.
• If the TV turns on or off when an HDMI-connected device is powered on or off, check the Bravia Sync settings.
We'd also like to verify if the audio drops out issue happens from an internal app or an external device. If it happens when watching a content from an internal app, please make sure the app is updated. If still unresolved, the app can also be removed and reinstalled as an additional step.
- Restart the TV using the power button on the remote control or the TV. To do that, simply press and hold the Power button until Restart appears on the screen, and then select it to restart the TV.
Make sure that the input setting on the TV corresponds to the video output source.
- If you have an external device connected on the TV, check the cable connection between the device and TV.
- Disconnect and reconnect the cable. A bad connection may occur temporarily and cause this issue.
If you're unable to resolve the issue, please follow the steps below for ways to contact us.

I bought it 4 weeks and 3 days ago, and it goes black at times, also the volume disappears totally. The grains are awful and sometimes the whole screen is blurry, then it goes away. It's hard to pay almost $1,300. on sale, and it's not that great. I bought another Sony maybe 12 years ago, and it shows better. I also bought a Samsung t.v. a few months ago for $400., and it shows better consistently. Something is wrong and mis-leading!
