The Sony Bravia XR X90J will 'WOW' you just by turning the TV on...Sony TV has always been my brand and this one will never disappoint you. very stunning color, brightness and clarity. The full array LED gives you real life experience like in the movie theater... Sound quality is great compared to other TV's but of course having a home theater setup or even a soundbar will give you boost in audio quality. The change to Google vs Android is quite phenomenal, very user friendly and easy to navigate. Bravia Core gives SONY users a different kind of experience with variety of movies, shows you can watch with free credits. Overall, i am rating this TV as Excellent and highly recommend to anyone shopping around or deciding to buy a new 4K TV.

Great product and exactly what I was looking for. I have a room that has a lot of natural light that I needed a TV that was bright enough to produce a great picture with little glare. Thanks to the Sound Advice of the Best Buy in house TV department. I am very pleased with this purchase. I will be back.

Very good picture, easy to use and setup was easy. The only problems that I have is it will turn itself off and if you want to use apps you must have a google account. Plus an way to switch the sound to exterior only. The only thing that worked was turning the TV sound down all the way. My last TV I was able to turn the interior speakers off,

Purchase this Sony to replace my older Sony (55x850d)as the old one (4 years old) didn’t have the eARC that I needed for the Sonos ARC. I also have a Sony 75x950h in my Man cave . I remember when I was looking for a 4K TV , I asked a couple of BBY Home Theater if I should get the Sony or the Samsung. They asked me if I wanted more vibrant colors or more lifelike . They suggested the Sony for more true to life colors. I now have 3 Sony TVs in my house. Read many reviews that stated the the Sony has more accurate picture/color out of the box! Oh yea, my wife loves this new one as she is able to access streaming apps from the Sony remote. No longer need Apple 4K Tv. Was able to get the Apple Tv app on the Sony. This 90j has a better UI than my 950h

Did a lot of research before going to the store. Had in my mind the big check items I wanted the new TV to have. Of course the big 3 were there, LG, Sony and Samsung. But honestly, for the price and features, I had even been considering a Hisense U8G. But once I got to the store it immediately was clear that the Hisense was just not in the same class as the others- yet. And then there is the quality question. My last new TV lasted less than 3 years because I went with a more budget minded set. I was determined not to do that again. The LG 55-65" C1 is a fantastic set... but you are going to pay. I would only be able to get a 55" to get close to the price I would pay for a 65" in the other 2. And unless you have it in your own private windowless movie room... you are not going to be able to utilize the set to its fullest. So that left the Samsung Q90 vs the Sony X90J. Both outstanding sets and the exact same price for a 65". It was a hard choice. We were there looking and so was another couple- looking at the same 2 sets as we were. The Samsung Q90 had a brighter picture for sure- and seemed to have a maybe a slightly sharper color. But did not have Dolby Vision. We have had Samsungs in the past and I know them to be great quality. But ultimately- we went with the Sony X90J. It had everything I wanted and the picture- to me- seemed sharper. We are movie watchers and not gamers so much- so for a gamer, maybe the Samsung would have been a better match. That and were we were going to set it up- it had a double window in the room (with curtains- so not bad) so that was a minor consideration. So for us, and the other couple by the way, we both chose the Sony. It was just a better looking picture quality and had all the boxes checked. I have a UHD 4K Sony blue ray player, and a SPY9 LG sound bar with Atmos. I was just slightly afraid of having too many differing components that might throw a wrench into the mix as well if I had chosen the Samsung (crazier things have happened- and if it could happen- my luck is it would have happened). As it was- the Sony was a breeze to set up (unboxing instructions could have been better though). Once unboxed and in place everything was done and set up in less than 15 min. And we were not disappointed! The picture and the sound were fantastic. We started with the 4kUHD Avengers Infinity War and were just blown away! Passengers in 4kUHD is Awesome. It really is like watching a whole new movie- it is that much better than regular 4k or standard. Up-scaling is very good. I watched The Blue Max on DVD just to see- and the picture sharpness was super. It even up-scales the sound! (not to atmos of course but a 'fake' depth) so I was doubly impressed. Now my wife wants to replace all our favorite movies with UHD movies.... I cannot recommend the Sony X90J enough. We are impressed and super happy we went with the Sony. We did go ahead and buy the 5 year protection plan however.... better to be safe than sorry! Oh, and by the way, we had gone to other places to look at set before Best Buy- but the prices were not any better and I appreciated the knowledgeable staff at Best Buy that helped us and the other couple looking as well. Most of the other places have 'unique sets' only available there, and are not the standard sets. If the price is lower... I would just bet that there as some features not available. Always check the websites and do your research. One number or letter off and it is not the same set. Don't be fooled. Go with the real deal and stay away from the budget TV's. Better to pay for quality than to be disappointed a few years later. I mean at least for us- buying a TV is a bigger purchase. I want it to last. Good luck! Hope this helped!

So you buy a new game console and realize that in order to get the most out of it you need a next gen TV with HDMI 2.1 ports. That was the case for me anyway. After reading review after review, I decided to spend a little extra cash to by the Sony model of TV because it does have the upgraded HDMI ports and overall has pretty solid ratings for a gaming TV. Also, with fears of burn in and the insane price of OLED TVs, I am pretty happy with my purchase. Great colors, fairly decent black, minor blooming with whites on a black screen, and I have not experienced any motion blur while play my PS5. Again, all around excellent next gen TV. The reason for 4 and not 5 stars is the light reflection in horrible, but really only a problem based on you rooms lighting. I wish all four HDMI ports where 2.1 and not just two. If you using eArch for your sound you lose the second one so might what to consider user fiber optics. Otherwise, if you have multiple console you will be juggling ports for the 120 true motion. Also, I found set up to be a little annoying especially trying to figure out how to configure the ports to actually run at 120 frames. It is a budgeting friendly choice for a gaming TV, I highly recommend it despite my few minor complaints. If you aren’t buying this for the purposes of gaming go with one of Sony’s other models for better UHD picture qualities.

I just replaced an old Vizio which actually lasted for over a decade. I didn't really need an OLED since I do have a family room that can be somewhat bright while pretty dark in the evening. I was between this and the Samsung QN90A and though that is a very bright TV, I felt the color accuracy and motion processing were better on the Sony and since I don't game, but watch a lot of HDR movies etc, this was the best bang for the buck, and I'm not disappointed at all. It has a great picture, contrast and color. Just watched Lord of the Rings Blu Ray and it was awesome. Did buy a sound bar since most TV audio except for the highest end TVs is not great....

This TV has vibrant colors, easy to install legs, and a quality image. Works great with my XBOX for gaming. You can't go wrong with this television. I compared it to others and found this one to be exactly what I needed and it has performed as such so far. Audio is superior to other TVs in this class and I don't feel the need for a sound bar as this TV is in an apartment and the audio is just fine for the smaller room. I'm giving this TV 5 stars for being the mid-grade TV as it is. If compared against more expensive options, clearly other televisions are better but I do not feel like removing a star would take away from that. I have not used the google TV smart functions as I have everything set up through my XBOX, but I would dock a half a star for the TV OS being Google... it has it's flaws.

Extremely happy and satisfied with this television. Originally purchased the Samsung Q60a 65 inch and returned it because the stutter on moving images was awful. Samsung knows of the issue and refuses to fix it. I decided to upgrade to the X90J because of all the good reviews and I had heard Sony makes great televisions. I bought this to replace a six year old LG UHD. It is in a family room that is relatively dark yet it produces great images and colors. I would recommend this tv to anyone in the market for a middle to higher end 4k tv that is not OLED. If you are wondering why I didn't go with another LG it is because their Nanocell tv's which are equivalent to this model produce too much brightness making the picture look fake. I am happy and very satisficed with the purchase and would do it again.

Using 3 of them for computer monitors only thing is they don't go to sleep like a normal computer monitor, but have to put on auto shot off and on graphics so no lag in mouse and well have to turn them back on individually which SUCKS. But really It more like 4.75 stars I tried Samsung 49 inch deskstop it totally SUCKS completely and tried Samsung 65 inch latest oled 4k thing looked fantastic in store but doesn't work w computer AT ALL completely SUCKS. SONY is best on market needs be able to really fit with computer but I had one from years ago so I have 4 giant computer monitors and 4 more 27 inch monitors so it makes for a fantastic huge computer desk top. I do like them. The remotes kind of suck cause they are work half way on all at same time but not fully so have to use each remote on each tv but not be too far from it cause it will mess up the others that sucks but over all its awesome anyways.

Had a Samsung for years and bought a new place and it looked dated so set out for a new one. Surely thought would go for a Samsung. Made several visits to Best Buy checking out the the Samsungs and Sony 65” sets. Went w the Sony as has native 120 refresh rate, the sound from the tv itself got very good reviews, and I just liked the picture better. I felt the Sony picture to just be more natural looking than the Samsung but I think this is very subjective. I’ve found the system to be very fast too but I basically only used Netflix and YouTube. The 120 NATIVE refresh and sound sealed the deal. Love this TV. If anything, I think the 75” would have been better and the remote is pretty big but VERY happy with it.

Sony makes great TVs. This one I purchased to replace a Sony Bravia 1080p I purchased back in 2009, that is still working great today. So I know I'm getting value for my money. The picture is great, and the black colors are rich and almost on par with OLED TVs. This model was a direct recommend by a BestBuy employee who knew I was on a budget and wanted the most bang for my bucks! I think we were correct in our selection. The only two negatives about this TV... 1. The Google TV interface is a mess. I'm an owner of Roku and Amazon TV devices, and their interfaces are so much more clean and easy to navigate. I really don't like how Sony allows Google TV to be in this dilapidated, confusing state. 2. I use the Digital Audio out (Optical Cable) to my Soundbar. My soundbar will not turn off when I turn off this TV. Why? Because the Digital Audio out is still active upon the TV, therefore still sending a signal to my Soundbar to remain on. It takes 2-3 minutes for this to finally turn off, but I found that my Soundbar turned on overnight due to the same issue. -- I've reported this to Sony.

People over the internet (including the moronic Quantom TV youtuber) have been complaini g Bout a few out of the box issues with this TV. Mostly Gaming issues (stuttering and input lag)..... Just apply the update! 100% fixes all gaming issues. This TV gets bright enough to enjoy movies in a room with lighting (I would not place this TV across from a window). This TV however is not the best for pitch black in the dark, since TV will never have OLED blacks. So install some Bias lighting and you will be good to go (I used the TV LED strip by Sengled). I watched Godzilla VS King Kong on this TV and it looked Great... The wife and I have had no issues with the colors or black levels (providing you use bias lighting at night). I played Cold war at 4k/120 on my series X..... INCREDIBLE. Between the low input lag and 120fps I noticed my reaction timing actually get better. I had been gaming on a 2016 lg oled with 32ms input lag, so this new tv was unlocking my potential. I think its a step below the x950h in the sound department. But its not bad. Overall I reccomend this tv. I may get a second one around black friday.
