The picture on this TV is absolutely awesome. The colors pop, The 120 Hz refresh rate is great for watching auto racing, or any fast paced sports. The user interface is very friendly, making it very easy to set up the TV.

I love everything about this TV. The 4K picture quality is incredible, especially when hooked up to the Dolby Vision aspect of the Apple TV. Before I purchased this TV, I didn't realize how valuable Full-Array LED is in comparison to Edge-Lit. The picture quality has a significant difference and appears much more lifelike. The colors on this TV are also incredible, as is the 4k upscaling. (Would recommend to turn off the live color feature in settings though.) It was a tough choice for me to switch from Samsung when I upgraded my 75 inch living room TV, but I'm couldn't be happier with my purchase of the Sony x90J. So much that I bought this 65 inch size for my bedroom.

This is a great TV, worth your money for sure. The sounds and the picture quality are great specially when you get to experience the Bravia XR IMAX Enhanced movies that you can rent or buy.

This is the best TV! It has uncompromised color, sharpness, crispness and brilliance. The 65" television is the perfect size for my wall unit. My living room is designed using the open concept and this TV is ideal for that as well. My living room is now my most favorite space. I will stay up until 2 and 3 am enjoying the sudo-3D affect my TV provides as well as its great sound even though I must be working by 8 am. I recently watched The Hobbit trilogy on my new TV and the picture quality, color and brilliance was better than when I saw it in the movie theater. The price point is higher than many brands but, the quality far exceeds the other brands as well. Sony provides an entertainment experience and it has increased my television viewing. Thank you Sony!!!

I have the X90J in 50” and 65”, as well as the X80J in 55”. The X90J is a nice upgrade over the X80J, and I would definitely recommend the upgrade if you are planning on putting this in a den or place where it will get a lot of use. I was originally going to get an OLED, but after reading reviews and talking to a lady at BestBuy, we decided the room I was placing the TV in received too much natural light, and that OLED would not be the best option for that reason. This TV is a good option for somebody who is looking for a high quality image, but isn’t ready to make the price jump to OLED. The motion rate on this is 120 hz, which makes it ideal for sports. These are also the first line of TVs to come equipped with Google TV, which is an interface that brings all my streaming apps together in one unified place. The interface is very nice, and intuitive, and does a great job of bringing my YouTube TV and other apps together. This also comes with the upgraded HDMI ports that are going to be essential for gaming in the next couple of years, so if you are a gamer, it’s probably worth the upgrade over the X80J if you have the extra cash.

Absolutely stunning picture, the google integration is surprisingly intuitive, and it was a massive upgrade from my old LG when playing video games on PS5. The black levels in the dark areas of Resident Evil 8 and Demon's Souls really looked inky dark instead of washed out grey. Absolutely beautiful TV if you're into video games. The picture is, naturally, incredible on 4k movies, as expected, but holy smokes does it bring video games to another level. Also, the built in sound is very nice if you don't have a surround system. There's some bass, but crystal clear audio. I'm in love with this TV.

Superb picture quality. Vibrant and REALISTIC colors. Good brightness in SDR and HDR. If you don't like to tinker with the settings, just set it CINEMA mode. If you like customizing settings, there are plenty of settings to play with. Upscaling is superb. I watch a lot of 1080 movies and they look very close to 4k, even when I'm standing 4 feet away from the screen. Motion processing is on point. No ghosting and posterization like on the Hisense U7H. Settings user interface is also well designed. Navigating around the menus is fast and responsive. Get this tv.

Ive owned this tv for over a year and im still amazed by the quality of it, and the quiality of my ps5 movies looks awesome aswell, a definite investmwnt

Have had this TV for a little over a year and a half....and couldn't be happier. Great picture and no issues at all. Sony is always my go to for TV's always love the picture quality.

After a considerable amount of research and several trips to the showroom, we decided on the Sony 65" X90J and couldn't be happier! We watch a lot of movies and found this TV to have a smooth motion refresh rate, vibrant color, amazing sharpness, and high-quality sound. These features have also caught the attention of our cat, who has started watching TV with us and follows objects on the screen, lol. I highly recommend this TV. Be advised that you may need to buy a few extra cables to set it up, depending upon your other equipment.

Very happy with my purchase the sales person was very knowledgeable and played a big part in my decision he did not try to sell me the latest and greatest just the options I needed.

There are some really good things about this set. It gets bright, Good color after adjustment, Studder has been removed after software update. IMAX enhanced mode is outstanding when watching an IMAX enhanced movie. Bravia Core free access for a year on this model. Five free movies via Bravia Core. Now the downside. Build quality not as good as in the past. Plastic build feels fragile. Dirty screen effect is prominent on the panel against white, gray or green backgrounds. Panal could use more brightness for Dolby Vision. Controls not intuitive. A lot of bloom can be seen in gray scale. Limited dimming zones. Sony will not disclosure how many they are. Variable refresh rate not working out of the box. Sony promises a future update but who knows how long that will take. Best Buy is selling this TV $1500 at the moment. It's not a bad price May be worth buying at this price. Final comments If you are lucky enough to win the panel lottery this could be a good TV to buy.

Awesome picture quality and sound for the price. Make sure you have help if you're going to wall mount this TV. Its heavier than it looks.

Great technology with a nice bright picture. Overall satisfied with tv, but after 1.5 months there are some noticeable shortcomings. First, the tv feels like the smartest tv with all the latest technology. It’s intuitive and after working out some bugs with my denon receiver, it works well and consistently switching between all my attached devices. Voice control works well. Picture is bright and responsive. Colors are vivid and accurate. Sound quality from speakers is ok. The shortcomings for me are in the tv’s back light blooming, and it’s ability to handle fast moving scenes. When credits roll on movies with black screen and white lettering..it’s very obvious. On bright white scenes where the camera pans, you can see the inconsistency in the brightness of the array. It interrupts the viewing experience when you notice the panel behind the scene. There are also moments in scenes with motion where the image processing doesn’t keep up with the scene- Results in a smearing effect in parts of the image around arms or fast moving appendages. Otherwise, I look forward to any future software updates that may improve on the overall image quality. To be honest, I had higher hopes for the picture quality performance, but it’s certainly not a bad picture. If I had to buy this tv again, I would wait for a good sale. The full price doesn’t quite measure up to Sony’s marketing expectations.

Purchased this TV two weeks ago. More than happy with my purchase. Coming off an 11 year old 55 inch Samsung(D6000 series), so of course my review of the picture quality will be through the roof. Watching 4K material on this unit really shines. Using a 4K Firestick, an Apple TV 4K 32GB, TIVO Roamio, and a TIVO Mini VOX. Upscaling from streaming sources like the TIVO Roamio/TIVO MINI is EXCELLENT. And, of course, 4K sources from the Firestick 4K and Apple TV 4K from apps such as Disney+, HBOMax, YouTube, Peacock, Netflix, etc... look AWESOME. I believe if you are mainly using streamers, or OTA sources whether they are the "CURRENT" ATSC 1.0(1080p/720p/480i sources), or are lucky enough to live in an area(I am) where there are ATSC 3.0 stations available to you in 4K(HUGE DIFFERENCE in PICTURE/RECEPTION BY THE WAY), you are going to be MORE THAN HAPPY with this HDTV. Whether it is MOVIES/HDTV/SPORTS, you will be happy, by a country mile I think "GAMERS" will want to look at another 4K TV, since it seems that they are the ones with the biggest issues with this TV. Since I do not game(No PS or XBOX within my connections), it does not matter too me. But I think they would be more happy with an OLED, or the Samsung QN90 series. Sony will continue to upgrade the firmware to improve performance overall, but this tv, at it's size(I have the 65 inch version), and price point for what it delivers(TWO 2.1 HDMI inputs/ATSC3.0 Tuner built in/DOLBY VISION/eArc for compatible soundbars), you CANNOT go wrong. I used the calibration settings on Rtings.com for this TV, and they look GREAT. Most other manufacturers are lacking one way or another with what I listed above. They either do not support, or drop one of the above within the specs of their TV's available, and at a much higher price in most instances. But do your HOMEWORK FIRST. One last thing which i think is very important. Sony, and other manufacturers for SOME REASON, place the FEET for this TV WAY TO WIDE IMHO. It is totally unnecessary. Take a lesson from Samsung and create a BASE with not such wide a footprint. Not hard too do. BUT, if this TV's feet are TOO WIDE for you(any model of the XR90J series from 55"-75"), there is an easy solution, and I am using it. Get these feet from ECHOGEAR: https://www.echogear.com/tv-mounts/universal-tv-legs-for-tvs-up-to-77-egav-rtvf1/ I am using them on my current XR65X90J, and they work GREAT, and allow you to place the HDTV on a tv stand where you just don't have the width available to use the FEET that come with the Sony XR65X90J. This will allow you to get a bigger HDTV(if practical) then you might get if you did not attach these feet. They are rated for HDTV's up to 75"(these will work on the XR75X90J as well, BUT NO BIGGER). GREAT STAND REPLACEMENT for most people. Just use the 4 VESA mounting screws that come with the XR90J(This SONY appears to be the ONLY one that includes them in the box too make it super simple to do for novices), and the screws in the back of the XR90J to attach the feet. SUPER EASY to do. Even by yourself, BUT I RECOMMEND doing it with TWO PEOPLE.

This is my favorite TV I’ve ever owned. The picture is incredible and combined with an excellent sound system, it makes my basement feel like a mini theater.

This TV is just absolutely gorgeous. As close to OLED without going OLED. The colors POP, the picture is crisp, everyone looks amazing!....when using the built in apps. I had an Apple TV 4K (Newest Model) and when watching shows, I would get anything from small juddering to a total slideshow running at like, 10 frames a second. I read about the stuttering problems this TV had but I thought there was no way a TV could be sold and have this bad of a problem. Turns out it has to do with external devices and the TV being 120HZ. I switched to the built in apps and have had zero issues. Netflix, Disney +, HBO Max. All buttery smooth. So buyer beware if you plan on using an external device for TVs. Video games I have had no problems.

Love this TV, it has an amazing picture and works perfect with PS5 and new Xbox X. The sound on it is absolutely flawless. Sounds better than my sony sound bar and sub woofer

The Picture quality is good, but that's the only thing going for it. The sound quality is bad, we needed to add a soundbar to sit more than 6 ft away from the tv. You can download Smart TV apps, but it only has memory for 2-3 more apps. Otherwise you have to delete one and download what you want. The internet connectivity issues are the worst. Our tv is 2 years old and it disconnects from the internet daily. We have tried numerous fixes, Sony says just unplug and restart the tv. Our internet company has replaced all of our hardware and checked out internet speed too. We tried hard wiring it via Ethernet and tried using the wireless feature. I wish we would have researched Sony Tv's more before purchasing this one. Sony Customer service gave us the run around while we were in warranty and now we are stuck with it.

Had TV no for 2 years, works great, not a single issue. Get value.
