screensaver issues

At first when I attempted to watch something on airplay it played fine for 20 minutes but then it automatically switched to screensaver while on airplay trying to watch something on tv. At first I thought it was my ipad doing that but it wasnt because my ipad screensaver was off. It kept doing that all the time. Then I tried watching a concert on livexlive app and again it went on screensaver but this time I did not use airplay. I then called Sony to try and turn off screensaver but ghey said that I couldn’t because it was automatically set up by the system and there was no setting to use on the tv setting. I also noticed that if I used any movie streaming app like Netflix, Apple tv, Starz and all, the tv works fine. It goes to sleep if you use airplay or livexlive for some reason because it does not recognize it. Also watching 4K or UHD movies from HBOMAX it blanks a couple of times before you watch it through. That tv is not worth it because it does not work at its best.

Screen saver (Daydream) is a feature that protects your TV from screen burn. It turns on if you don't operate your TV for a certain length of time. It won't turn on while you watch TV programs or videos. You may try to turn off the Idle TV power off and Auto shut-off on the TV setting to prevent the TV from turning off if there is no signal detected.Check if the TV will switch to screensaver after. With regards to your concern about the picture goes blank while watching a 4K/UHD movies, please make sure that internet/network is fast enough so you can enjoy 4K/HDR content at its best quality. Total disappointment

We had it only 6 months before it started to get a dark spot in the middle of the screen. Sony sent a “tech” to our house to bring a new tv. The second tv lasted only 6 days.
