In this price range, you can’t beat this TV. Sony is far superior to Samsung. I used to buy only Samsung but they have clearly declined. I’m very happy with the quality of this Sony TV. Sports look great, regular TV looks good and movies are fantastic, especially with Dolby Vision, which Samsung doesn’t support.

The picture is fantastic without being Oled. I have a room where sunlight hits the wall where the tv is mounted. So, this was a big concern for me regarding burn-in screen degradation. The Geek Squad did a marvelous job of mounting and creating a an outlet in my wall to conceal tge wires and cables.

If you are on Comcast or similar signal try to get a 4k signal box. I previously had the 55” version of this tv. The sound on this tv is much improved over last years version. It may be due to the 10” difference allowing for better speakers. If you watch a lot of movies on Netflix etc. then you might want to purchase a soundbar but if you watch mostly regular tv shows then you won’t be disappointed in the tv speakers. Make sure you make sure the stand fits on your stand.

Even the upscale for dvds is impressive. My only complaint would be that the smart hub isnt the greatest. It freezes a lot and i have to restart the tv.

The curb side pickup is seamless and associates did a great job. Coming to the TV it was amazing I was eyeing on this for couple of years and finally found great. I brought an open box with excellent condition and to my surprise it looks brand new when I opened the box came with all original packaging. I am very happy with purchase

It arrived in good condition but was kind of heavy for an old geezer like me but I managed. The picture quality is terrific. I also bought the Sony sound bar and it sounds great.

Regarding the audio, if you're looking for an immediate and significant upgrade to complement that great picture, we would definitely recommend checking out one of our Sony soundbars. Something like the HT-A3000 or the HT-A5000 is designed to integrate seamlessly with the X90L.
And for the OS, we take all feedback on board for future updates and development.

After looking a many brands for a while I decided on this based on it having every feature I wanted. Other brands like Vizio and Samsung would be either missing a key feature or be priced too high. Try for yourself. This checks the box for these feathers I had to have: 120hz for PS5, local dimming to give blacks especially on top and bottom for letterbox movies, ATSC 3.0 for High def OTA channels, finally a price below $1000 (OK I cheated and bought an open box one in excellent condition)

Use for movies as well as gaming and I can adjust picture modes with so much ease only down side is that speakers are on bottom so I paired mine with a sound system. Without the sound system the sound was still good just quieter

Very bright, I actually turn down brightness to 35 (max of 50) in a room that gets sunlight. Nice colors. Feet can raise TV if you have a thin soundbar, but it isn't enough for a real center channel speaker as part of a full surround system. The built-in speakers are better than expected (of course can't compare to a real surround system). I have to knock off a star for two reasons: the home screen has ads you CANNOT remove. Inexcusable on a $1,500 TV. And the HDMI control misbehaves badly: for several minutes after the TV is TURNED OFF, it randomly turns my Onkyo receiver on and off, and mutes it. When I turn the TV off, it will also turn off the receiver and my blu-ray player. These cannot be disabled in the TV settings! I have to disable HDMI control in my AVR itself to block it.

For advertisement/ads, there are certain applications like YouTube and others that will run ads depending on your viewing habits. This is not a feature you can turn off when it comes to those applications. During the initial setup process of the tv, you can opt-out of certain features and that is up to the user to decide what is best for their experience.
At Sony, we are always looking to improve our product quality and features. We have noted your input about the advertisement/ads and will be sure to forward this feedback to the appropriate department.
