Love this TV - the clarity and brightness is spot on. We initially bought the 65 inch mini LED'S and the screen with scenes with a lot of light was blinding and had to be toned down. The contrast was too dark for our liking and white was too bright. But you cannot go wrong with the full array LED. Second one we've owned. Again, tried the more expensive Bravia XR mini led's but needed sunglasses to watch in dark room due to brightness of some scenes.

Came from a Vizio M55-E0 and was surprised with the brightness and clarity of this tv. It’s a solid performer for a midrange tv from Sony. There is some blooming and vertical banding but I don’t think it’s a deal breaker or that bad at all. It’s a balancing act for tv manufacturers. If they try to cut down on the blooming then you get black crush and loss of detail. If you prioritize detail you get blooming. The tv looks great on my stand and I really like the low profile look of the feet. The tv has a premium look as well. I cannot comment on how helpful Best Buy staff was to my purchase since I already knew what I wanted when I walked in. I have been researching tvs for the better part of a year. Their staff did locate the tv and seemed professional and willing to help.

Picture quality is great and google interface is faster than a Chromecast/Google TV. The Sound is good and could be used without a sound bar/system. I would prefer a subwoofer to further enhance. Applying a mount was super easy with the flat back. The overall thickness of the TV however is slightly larger than my previous 10+year-old Samsung LED. Overall, it's great. This is my second Sony, similar tv even. Sony continues to impress.

Very pleased with the TV. Replacing a lower end Vizio 50" so not a fair comparison. The switch is like going from a Hyundai to a Lexus. Keep in mind the picture in the store will NEVER be as good as you get at home so erase that from your mind when you first hook up this (or any other TV). Remote - people complain about this - no numbers. I have not bought a Smart TV in the past five years with a remote with numbers. It functions just fine for what you need. Don't be so soft. Picture - different settings including pre-sets. "Vivid" will knock your socks off if you're not ready for it. That said, my goal with this TV was to dramatically upgrade. Mission accomplished. Colors are vivid and clear. Live sports really pop. Sound - sound is good for a TV. I tested before hooking up my soundbar. A soundbar is definitely the way to go to get more dynamic sound for sports and movies. This on sale when I bought so it was an especially great deal. But even better, it is a great value.

Superb picture rivaling recent new releases. Brightness is a bit light but we found using the "Vivid" setting is excellent in all aspects.

We had a bargain television from another company that started having issues after only two years of ownership. After some research, I checked out the Sony Bravia XR X90L. The difference between the Sony and the former brand TV is night and day. The X90L's picture quality is much brighter with more definition, more color and more accuracy overall. We used Goggle TV on the previous TV and it works the same on the Sony. Very easy to access apps. In fact, the apps are much faster to boot up now. Both movies on Ultra 4K discs and streaming look excellent on the Sony. What came across right away, to my eyes, was how much more depth there was to the picture. Actors and local newscasters on the X90L appear more dimensional and lifelike. Another surprise I discovered was the difference in sound quality in my home theater/stereo system. My preamplifier works like a 5.1 channel preamp. I use the optical output from the preamp to the Sony's optical input for surround and stereo sound. The X90L audio passthrough is a lot cleaner than the previous TV's optical jack. I don't use the Sony's speakers for sound, in other words. The X90L is an excellent television.

Our 5 year old Sony was sometimes struggling on its own (no Apple or Google TV dongle) with 4k streaming. Since I don’t like extra remotes for dongles, I decided to update to a newer model instead. Since most of my smart devices are associated with Google, I limited my search to that OS and went with another Sony. Since it was the same brand and size, the physical replacement went quite well. Once in place, I realized how much better the picture was. The full array backlighting really is noticeable - with much blacker blacks. This is a great TV that I would highly recommend.

This sony has a rich, realistic picture quality that is fantastic! The colors are vibrant, skin-tones are realistic, details are sharp, the viewing angle is more than adequate for a small group, and the brightness is there when you need it. It surpassed my expectations and is way better than the Samsung QLEDS that I was previously looking at. The sound is pretty decent without a soundbar - but if you're looking for a little more power, then go with a soundbar. I couldn't be happier with this tv - my tv viewing experience has rocketed to a whole new level - and at this Black Friday deal price, you can't go wrong!

I picked up the Sony 65" BRAVIA XR X90L and I’m honestly blown away. Setup was so quick and painless that I had it up and running before the popcorn was done. It connected seamlessly with my Klipsch speakers and Denon receiver, so now my living room doubles as a mini theater. The picture quality is stunning. Sports feel like I’m right in the stadium, movies pull me straight into the story, and gaming is smooth and crystal clear. The size makes everything immersive, but the clarity really steals the show. Navigation is simple and intuitive. Whether I’m streaming the latest series or flipping over to my digital antenna for live TV, everything works flawlessly. Outstanding flatscreen at a very affordable price. The 65" class is a perfect size for a family room. Colors are sharp and clear. The only negative is the remote, which has limited features for such an excellent Smart TV.

I purchased a 55” Samsung QLED from Sam’s Club over Black Friday for around $650 and the picture quality wasn’t great and it was extremely slow/unresponsive to the commands of the remote. I returned it and looked elsewhere and I’m very glad I did because this SONY is 100x better than the Samsung. The picture is awesome. The 65” screen size is also much better than the 55”. I really love the Google home in contrast to the Samsung home. My only slight complaint is occasional lagginess of the TV in response to a command given on the remote. It’s not the internet connection, and the TV is up to date, so not sure what it is. It’s rare. Overall, 10/10. The sound is surprisingly really loud and clear for TV speakers and the brightness of the picture is almost too good on the “Vivid” setting.

after a month of contemplating watching TV reviews on YouTube" along with countless visits to the stores to figure out which TV we finally wanted at the best price available, I'm beyond thrilled that we chose the Sony X90L Bravia TV 65 Inch, not only did it end up showing so much better at our home which is in itself something I was concerned about , but should be no surprise since we had a Sony before and it was our favorite TV and showed just perfect and just right " gorgeous colors as always, sharp, impressive, and why would I look anywhere else ""

I am very satisfied with the TV. I had done some research trying to figure out what I should upgrade to coming from a 2016 mid range model. This Sony tech is INCREDIBLE. Started watching the Copa America soccer tournament, it's sharp as hell! The Reality Creation is amazing at making things look 4k! And probably my most favorite thing is that the Sony is appreciably brighter ( my living room has 6 windows, so a lot of natural sunlight ) and I have no problem watching anything on it. If you're not totally sold on OLED, and want something colorful, sharp and bright, this is a solid option.

It's been over a year since I bought this but this is like best Full Array Sony TV ever purchased nice huge upgrade over X90K huge brightness booster, better colors then X90K, slightly better local dimming for better contrast, and awesome gaming performance,

The TV is great and easy to use. It has a clear picture and connects well to my home theatre for sound. The only detractions for this TV is that the built in speakers don't sound all that good, and I wish there was more control over the picture quality. It's has great picture quality, but I like to be able to adjust every little thing, and it somethings I just can't, even if I can on my other Google TV. Otherwise though, it's excellent.

I absolutely love my TV, but the time I had to wait just for someone to acknowledge me was insane. I was by the TV that I wanted to purchase. 3 Best Buy people walked by me as if I was glass. I finally got in line at the checkout counter, then the cashier looked up and said oh I will send someone to assist you. It took another 15 minutes, but I was patient. I have waited 8 months since my other TV went out. I had my other Sony TV for 17 years. The rep came and even though she was not able to get the TV to come on I appreciated her effort and response. I feel that I made an excellent choice.

Umm WOW. If you're like me and have researched like crazy which TV to get you have seen that this TV edges out TCL/Hisense options which all seem pretty great as well. Don't let the the lack of mini led sway you away this tv is plenty bright and the colors are very accurate due to it's better processor. Yes, you pay a bit more but you get a great viewing experience and the Sony build reputation which is worth the small bump in price. Sony color science is amazing and is Sony itself is deeply rooted in the motion picture industry so if you want the closest to industry standard at this price range ..this one is for you.
