I am blown away by the big, beautiful, colorful picture this TV offers. The smart-TV features are good, and much better than on my previous Sony, although I still prefer using my Apple TV box with the set. But I bought the television for its picture and I am more than pleased with that!

I went to BB Initially and putchased the LG 65 UH6150 after reading the reviews.Picture was great and slim body but the tv had lag on fast moving scenes and the TV appeared to lean back at the top after mounting it to the stand.I returned it to best buy and decided to try the Sony XBR65X750D after a BB associate swore by it and even claimed he owned one himself. It looked good in the store so I figured I'd give it a try.I must admit I am impressed.Im not sure about the other reviews that state the picture is too dark but I got it by a window and have no issues with brightness. The colors are more natural so some people may people may like the more saturated colors like the Samsung tvs have.I have Xfinity so alot of channels are HD and look great and the channels that are not HD look good enough for me.Gaming looks great also as I am a big Battlefield player. No lag whatsoever and realistic detail.I can honestly say it just depends on what you are looking for in a tv.I was looking for good performing 4k tv with at least 4 hdmi inputs and a great looking picture with even better picture when its in UHD or 4k mode and this is all that and more.Built in apps, wifi, etc. is more than I can ask for in an entry level 4k tv under $1500.You won't regret it...try one.

So, only a week with the TV now. The TV operates your set top cable box through the tv and the tv remote. It works pretty well and the interface and guide from the set top box are generated in a much better looking format on the Sony. The second day the TV would not change the channel on the set top box. I called customer service after trying many things to correct the problem. Eventually the tv had to be reset to factory and reprogrammed. Minor, and hasn't happened again but I will update in a month or two. Today, have the TV going though a Denon amplifier for sound. Works great, but when using an external amp and speakers to just watch plain tv, you can not bring up the interface from your receiver onto the screen to control sound options. Not a huge deal. Today when I turned on the tv, the received came on and no sound was being transmitted. Turned off the receiver, and the tv was playing sound as it should. Turned receiver back on and the tv said sound was transferred to external speakers, but still no sound. Again, after attempting several things to alleviate the problem, had to do a hard reset on the television. 4K picture is great, and the tv does a great job of streaming from my 100meg connection that I have hard wired to the unit, not wifi. The remote is great, wish it had the microphone on it, the tv has the programing for the mic, but i guess sony thought we should pay more for a better remote with one additional button. I am deaf and utilize hearing aids for my hearing. The bluetooth on the TV will not accommodate my hearing aids. The aids are brand new, and several thousand dollars. The interface on the tv is fairly fast, but does occasionally lag. Not to the point of giving 5 stars for this TV. I only have had one other tv that was not sony in my life. A mitsubishi, went back to sony after that one mistake. Great TVs. Great. TV is light also. Wish the stand did not have two little legs in the back. The front has a two foot bar for traction on the table. If the back even slips a little bit one leg off the table and the tv is gone. another item not usually mentioned, the box the tv came in is superb. You can get the tv out of the box and set up with one person. Not a great idea, but possible. Very heavy box with a removable base that is reusable via some brackets that are removable without tools. Yea sony. Did not see going to next model at $500 more dollars.

    Not a good television, avoid

I've had the Sony XBR-65X750D for several years and it has gotten progressively less usable. The TV started as a decent smart device with an "OK" remote control and average picture, but as Sony has performed software upgrades on the unit over time, it has slowed to a crawl and become unstable. Loading some apps such as Peacock is terribly slow, and there are delays when navigating between different screens and menus with the remote control. I have to reboot the television by pulling the power cord from the AC outlet one a month or so. Applications crash at times and send me back to the home screen. I've recently factory reset the TV, but it has not made a noticeable impact to the performance. Additionally, with this being a standard LED TV, there is a lot of light bleed through when watching dark movie/tv content. There is no "black" on the TV, just various shades of grey. So if you are watching a movie that has scenes filmed in the dark, you see a lot of bright grey light instead of nothing at all. I would not recommend this TV to anyone.

    Excellent 65" 4k

I was in the market for a 65" 4k Smart TV. I initially purchased the Vizio E65U-D3 65" 4k Smart TV. I was quite disappointed on the picture quality and then amount of ghosting and blurring that was occurring, even after adjusting the motion settings as well as other settings. I returned the TV the next day and went with the Sony. Make sure you get the 750 model, not the 810. The 810 was the 2015 model. The picture quality on the Sony far exceeds that of the Vizio. I would highly recommend this Television.

In the short time that I have owned this TV, it has been outstanding. I originally purchased the Samsung UN65KU6290FXZA, but returned in in favor of this Sony. I found the Samsung to lag during high speed sports or shows. This TV has been incredible, not a bit a lag or distortion during football games. If you are comparing the two like I did, hands down this TV is a winner. The interface and thickness of the Samsung was somewhat better, but at the end of the day, it's about the quality of the picture.

I was hesistant first on buying this model, I wanted x850d coz it has more features. I got it right on time when it dropped to $999. Almost all the features of a mid level 4k are included. Plus it has Android where I can install my favorite app like HULU, KODI and other media apps. The competitors' prices is like $200 to $300 more. A Must-buy for any gamer who needs a perfect budget 4k HDR tv for the PS4 pro

I had a 46 inch Sony bravia tv for about 9 years and had no trouble so i purchased this one and it is even better than my old tv was the picture is crisp and clear (after some adjustments) and the color is amazing. I would recommend this tv to anyone looking for a good tv. The price is a bit high but you can catch it on sale like i did and its well worth it.

Bought this set at Super Bowl time. Originally was fine. Started to experience tv flicker, sound cut out, and loss of signal. After resetting many times by unplugging and restoring power, I was at my wits end with these conditions. I decided to change the HDMI cable to a gold plated high speed type, and all the problems disappeared. I have not had to change any factory settings, picture is great. Make sure you use quality cables and avoid blaming the set for interruptions.

I was torn between this and Samsung. The sales rep said Sony was a much better model because of motionflow, not that I watch sports where that would matter but I went with the suggestion of the sales staff. I had problems from the get go. My internet constantly dropped. I would get this "obtaining IP address" message and then it would take MINUTES to reconnect. I have many other devices connecting to the router with no problem but this TV was a problem from day one. I got tired of it and decided to just hardwire the TV via the ethernet port. That didn't work either! I could not get an internet connection. Lucky for me, I had Geek Squad protection. They came out and replaced the main board but that didn't fix either. Other problems, the remote is slow, I would update TV and get random error messages related to some random app that I didn't even know what enabled, navigation on OS was too busy, not user friendly. End of the day, I ended up getting it replace and went with a different model. The Samsung I exchanged this for is so great. All the things that plagued the Sony work greatly on the Samsung and the picture is so much better. I cannot believe this TV is so highly rated.

Crisp, Dynamic Picture on Both HD and UHD Content

The picture quality is and contrast on this set is remarkable. The set does a pretty good job at automatically sensing what is being viewed and adjusting the picture settings to best fit the image. That being said, sometimes you know better than the automatic sensor, so I've decided to set the settings manually and turn off the automatic feature. It has a huge selection of apps available for download from the google play store. This set top has an android operating system. The top apps come pre-installed on the set, along with a few other ones Sony seems to think you might like or find helpful. It has an ambient light sensor to adjust brightness, an IR Blaster to control your set top (direct tv or cable box) without having to program the remote. Overall its a great buy, I got it on sale for cyber monday at $999.99. It was a steal!

I'm on my 3rd 65" tv in the past month. The Sony is far superior than the Sharp or Visio that I purchased. The semi matte screen helps to cut down glare from overhead lighting. The sound is adequate. The apps that are preinstalled are numerous but facebook is not one of them. The app store does not have an app for it which I found odd,but using Opera that I installed allows me to access it. Picture quality is very good. There is a live football mode which is great for watching the games but also adds somewhat of a 3D effect when watching other programs. It increases the depth of field somehow. The Sharp did seem to have the crispest pic of all but in dark scenes the backlight showed through in the corners even when set to the lowest setting, which is why I returned it. The Visio didnt have as good of sound and picture quality was poor. Overall it I am happy with it. You will not be disappointed with this set. I had to order it and it took two weeks to get it but it was worth the wait.

    Android TV Isn't A Gimmick

I bought this TV originally because it was a pretty good quality TV with HDR and 4K. I assumed the Android part of the deal was just a gimmick and that it really wouldn't have too big of an impact on my experience. I was wrong. Along with the Android TV OS, you also get a multitude of Android Apps from the Play Store including Kodi! That's right, no hacks or back doors or other BS necessary. Just go to the Play Store, download Kodi and cancel your television subscription. This TV pays for itself with that feature alone. Also the native Amazon Video and Netflix app support the 4K display which is awesome.

I originally bought the Sony XBR65X810C. It has a bad panel. Sony said the picture was not bad enough for them to replace it. Thank God I had an extended warranty from Best Buy. Had me come in and pick a new set. I did enjoy the feature of the set so I decided to get another Sony and picked up the XBR65X750D. It's better than the X810C. I have had it now 6 weeks now. I can't believe how well this set performs. It's hook into my sound system. GREAT picture on all sources, standard through 4k content. Sony customer service is the worst!

Extremely good picture. Blacks could be a bit better, but it's an excellent value, with Playstation Now, Android apps and games, Wi-fi, and DirecTV integration. It would be nice if it had RCA inputs, but this is less common these days.

I decided to look for a new tv to go in my new house, and definitely wanted to go big, and have a quality tv on my wall. I spoke to an associate at the store (who was very helpful), and we landed on this one. I didn't see much of a need to upgrade to the 850 at it's price point, plus this one was on sale too. Build quality is typical of Sony, picture quality is outstanding, sound quality is excellent (although I see the addition of a sound bar and subwoofer in my future). Applications are excellent additions too using the Android OS. I can chrome cast from my phone using certain iOS apps. I did have a few wireless issues where is would disconnect randomly, and then i decided to just wire the house with Ethernet jacks to alleviate the problem. Sometimes when watching Amazon prime or any other streaming show the video stutters when simply changing the volume. Sometimes the visual change doesn't even show on screen. Not a huge deal to be honest.

I went to Best Buy with all intentions of purchasing the 750D but the associate talked me into the more expensive 850D. I couldn't find a decent setting I liked on the 850D so I returned it and purchased the 750D for $500 less and I couldn't be happier. Amazing picture right out of the box. The more expensive TV is not always better.
