Nice!... Too bad I had to already exchange it

It would drop the resolution on the TV automatically to 640x480 no mater what component I had on it. Let's see what happens with the next one. If it happens again, it goes back to the store for another brand. Other than that, the picture is nice and has lots of features for the money paid ($999.99 on B Friday).

Picture blew up after 3 days
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this tv after 2 months of research. My choices were LG Sony and Samsung. All 4K smart TVs. This TV had an excellent picture but the sound was hard to hear so it would definitely need a sound bar. However the biggest problem is this TV after three days the picture blew up and I had to take back to the store. The picture started out grainy after three days went to a bunch of pixels on the screen and then the screen just went blank. Not saying this TV is negative however I just lost confidence in Sony. i'm now back to the research stage attempting to buy a new TV.

NO SPECTRUM/TWC APP!! PIECE OF GARBAGE!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We purchased 55, 65 and 75 850D Bravia Televisions (more than $5K spent), had them mounted and installed ONLY to discover that Sony DOES NOT SUPPORT the SPECTRUM/TIME WARNER TV APP. This is 125% BS. We asked about the app in the store before purchasing and were assured that it could be downloaded. The 1st time we called Sony Customer Service after the TVs were installed and the installer couldn't find the App, the tech specialist told us it could be downloaded from the GooglePlay store. We looked and couldn't find it. The 2nd time we called, the tech specialist said that it was not a supported App and couldn't be downloaded. We are just past Best Buy's 14 day return policy and are now STUCK WITH THESE PIECES OF GARBAGE!! We do not have hardwired/coaxial cable and HAVE TO use the streaming APP make these work-so they are USELESS other than for Netflix and Amazon. Our installer said we could use the ROKU stick, but why should we have to use a 3rd party device for $1K, 1.5K and 2.2K televisions-WHY!!! Sony has a partnership with Dish or Direct TV and has intentionally decided to make it impossible to use the Spectrum/TWC TV App. They should have stickers and warning labels on the products and in their descriptions. Spectrum TV App is compatible with all Android TVs using Android OS 4.0 or higher, so there is no reason that we shouldn't be able to use the App on these TVs. This is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!! I will NEVER purchase ANOTHER SONY product EVER!!!!! We could have gone with Samsung and had as great a picture, saved money and been able to use the App. I Hate You Sony!!! Hate you! Oh and the Netflix App keeps giving an error message (Error -100)

FAILING HDMI PORTS, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.BUYER BEWARE: I purchased a Sony XBR Model Number "xbr65x750d" during Black Friday and have had nothing but constant issues with the device since then regarding HDMI ports (Hdmi 3 - Soundbars and a Firestick Hdmi-1) and Sony Tech support has been not only confrontational, but unhelpful. When i first purchased the TV back on November 25th, i got home hooked it up and low and behold the old Sony Soundbar i had that was working for my previous TV stopped working immediately when i plugged it into this TV. No problem though, I thought the soundbar had just died, so i went to Best Buy to buy a replacement soundbar the Samsung KW-550. I get home plug it in and it works - great i thought! Flash forward two weeks, I wake up yesterday morning and my Soundbar connected to HDMI 3 is not working nor being detected by my Sony TV. I try hooking it up to other devices, low and behold it works, so i call Sony Tech Support. They spend 45 minutes trouble shooting my call and we wind up factory resetting my TV and we finally got it working. Mind you this is a brand new $1,299 TV and a brand new $350 sound bar. 24 hours later, which would be this morning, i wake up and find that my Firestick which has been working for the past three weeks is not working....GREAT! So I immediately go into solving mode and plug my firestick, this same firestick, into two other tv's in my house and it works immediately. I go and try and plug it into my Sony TV again to see if it works, it doesnt. So then i take my other Firestick (i have 2 in my house) thats connected to another TV in my house, and that i know works, into this Sony XBR into HDMI 1---- Still doesn't work! Very agitated i just spent over $1000 on a device that is having HDMI issues, i call Sony yet again, for a second time within 24 hours. I am greeted by a gentleman named Gabriel and then transferred to a guy name Lex Agent ID C8YF, who proceeds to test my device. First he logs into my TV and verifies that there is no picture on HDMI 1, so then he asks me to plug my cable box which is working on HDMI 2, into HDMI 1. I plug my cable box into HDMI 1 and low and behold IT DOESN'T WORK. He has me do three or four other steps testing devices on different HDMI ports and those work, other than the Firestick (except both fire sticks that verified work dont work on this TV when they were working less than 24 HOURS AGO on this same TV!!!) On the phone with Lex he continues to tell me that its not the TV's problem becuase although the screen is black the TV is functioning. I explain to LEX that a TV is not functioning if the screen is black and HDMI ports are not working on this TV when are working on other TV's. Lex then continues to tell me that the problem is Mine and not this TV (when we know this is not true, because these other devices worked on these TV's less than 24 hours ago and he watched my cable box fail on HDMI 1). Growing more frustrated, I tell Lex that we've already spent 45 minutes on the phone again and at this point we are getting no where. He was telling me that its my problem and not the TV's problem. Worst customer service ever! Looking back on it I bet my old Sony Soundbar that died on that first day wasn't actually dead, i bet it was my HDMI ports on this TV that made me believe it was a dead device. What's even worse is the customer follow up is horrendous. When i called down yesterday i was told at the end of my call i would receive a confirmation e-mail regarding the reference number of this issue so i can keep it for my records - well i never got that email. I checked my SPAM and did a gmail folder search for sony and verified the correct address with Gabriel today - still no email. SONY I am so dissapointed! Agent: Lex C8YF Claim #: E64423112

hdmi port doesn't work

I purchased the geek squad 5 yr protection plan but not the tv installation fee(basically because it's ridiculously high). Instead I got my father to help me mount it when he came to visit from out of town. As soon as we put it up we noticed that port wasn't working. Called best buy and they set up the geek squad to come out a week later and tell us what we already knew, which was that it wasn't working. Options were replacing the port or getting a new tv since we just purchased it. Of course I chose to get a new one. So they scheduled to bring another tv a week later. The geek squad agent led me to believe that it wouldn't be a problem to unmount it and put the new one up. When they come a week later they won't do it unless I pay 200 dollars. Well now my help is gone home and I can't unmount the 65 inch tv by myself. I'm so disappointed with how I've been treated that I'll NEVER buy another tv through best buy. I don't know why I even purchased the 5 yr geek squad plan if you have to pay extra for unmounting the tv. They should have been up front with me from the beginning. Worst customer service ever!

Sony TV - Stopped Working after 3 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am extremely disappointed in this purchase and the lack of service I have received from Sony to resolve this issue. Three months after purchasing this television it has stopped turning on. Best Buy came out to fix it but could not. They are now scheduled to come out again. Because the TV is new, I was advised to contact Sony to resolve the issue and perhaps I could get to a faster resolution. Sony has absolutely horrendous customer service. For a week, I've had to call every day in an attempt to resolve this issue. Each time I have to re-explain my situation (despite the fact they have a reference number for my case). Every person who I talk with has given me a different answer on how to fix it. I will never purchase a Sony product again.

Buyer Beware TV is a Lemon!!

One day it decided not to turn on and to find that Sony acknowledges it is a known problem with this model on their website. Totally unacceptable the amount paid and to have parts fail within a years time.

Multiple issues

However, had many issues such as, not staying off after turning off (turns on on its own), error messages popping up during shows/tv, and some other issues I can't remember. My current status is: TV only stays on for 1 minute before turning off, and red light blinks while it's off. Long story short, I did get the extended warranty and they are scheduled to replace the motherboard for the 3rd time this coming Friday. I've only purchased this TV 7 months ago, on 11/24/17. This is the most I ever spent on a TV and thought it would be the best one ever purchased. It by far is the most annoying.

Nice tv, when it works
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this tv 6 months ago, about three months ago it started loosing signal, at first it was just the audio that would not work. For the last couple weeks now the screen goes black as well, no messages about no signal or whatever the screen just goes black. I have to do a factory reset to get it working again, I've had to do this 3 times now in the last 2 weeks. I'm going to call Sony today and see if they have a solution, or I'm going to tell them to send me a new tv.

Worst experience Ever !

So when all is said and done I have purchased a refurbished TV instead. Will never buy a Sony again, will stick to Vizio from now on since I have 2 that I have had for years and still play like new,
