Great picture, terrible software

The TV picture is great, except when watching cricket or soccer the ball flickers when moving quickly across the screen. The biggest issue is the software so this is probably an Android issue, but also Sony's version of Android doesn't support NBC Sport and a couple other apps. Watching Amazon Video is so jittery but when I plug in a Roku device I can watch Amazon Video perfectly. Same with NBC Sport, I have to get the Roku device from the other room to watch on my big expensive TV. TV also likes to turn on randomly in the night.
