I've been holding off on purchasing a 4k tv for a few years now. I've been tempted by a few like the KS8000 and P-Series last year but just couldn't pull the trigger. I finally did with the 900e. My god was it worth it! Blu rays almost look 4k quality and gaming on ps4 is a sight to behold. Even some 1080i content on directv can still floor you with its vibrant colors and detail. The blacks are comparable to oled. The tv looks off if the screen goes black on any scene and dark scenes pop tremendously. I don't have any quarrels with the tv at all outside of the interface is a little slow but it's not a nuisance by any means. Don't think about it just buy it. You won't be disappointed. Tip for directv users, turn on native on your box. I was very disappointed with the image quality until I turned this on. It lets the tv do all the upscaling and it's a world of difference in image quality. Planet Earth Blue Planet 2 had me stunned at only 1080i. Gaming, satellite, and blu ray all shine!

Excellent quality, bright and clear. The viewable area goes out to just a half inch of the edges, so it doesn't waste as much space as the wider 2" faceplate edges on the TV we replaced. The cables hide neatly in tracks in the legs. The wide viewing angle is a plus for the seating in our living room. We couldn't get the remote controller to work with our Optimum cable box, and got a universal remote controller for both devices. No complaints.

For the price, this can not be beat. I did extensive research on OLED and QLED. Both are beautiful displays but have their own set of disadvantages. Prices also are an issue. This display is comparable to these others but with out The disadvantages. If you’re looking to get a great television at a great price with optimal performance look no further.

I had this tv and it was a very good one for the money but i did get rid of it once i saw the LG OLED tvs on sale. Now the 900E is 1700 at best buy and the LG C7 is 2700 both can be found for cheaper. So its roughly 1000 more for the C7. The picture is good but not the best in my opinon some downfalls were that it didnt have Dolby Atmos over arc so i had to use my Xbox. They also had announced this TV wont get Dolby Vision update which even the TCL P Series(55in is $650 no 65in) and Vizio M(65in $1100) and P series(65in $1550)both have great pictures can be cheaper. Vizio has more zones and is also Full Array Local Dimming. Bottom line is that there are cheaper options the Vizio P series is pretty highly prasied for a mid level tv. And for more expensive options if you like sony and non oled the Z9D or 940e are pretty awesome but very expensive. If you like oled my LG C7 is very good or the Sony A1E which has the gimmicky, but cool acoustic surface screen and like all sonys awesome image processing and those higher end sonys will actually receive those future updates cause there considered the "high model tvs". Either way sony i think is a good brand, just look and see what fits your needs. And i will reccomend this tv cause it is good i just think theres better for the money. Anyways this is just my opinon, but just do your research and as long as your happy thats what matters.

I am very particular with my electronics and have been researching and watching this TV since it was introduced in March. Took the plunge on Black Friday and couldn't be happier! With proper adjustment for YOUR room environment (i.e., not just copying someone else's settings from online), the PQ can be stellar! Black levels, one of the most important things to me, are better than my 9 year old plasma that it is replacing! No regrets!

Amazing 4k TV. I was bouncing back and forth between an LG tv and a Sony. Ultimately I chose Sony due to the fact I watch a lot of live sports, the refresh rate of the Sony tv is so much better for this and it keeps the picture clear. Love this tv, paired it with a $799 Sony soundbar and it sounds just as amazing as it looks. Love the setup. Also just purchased the Xbox One X and I enjoy gaming on this tv as much as watching football!

I studied the reviews online like a lot of people. And I've always been loyal to Sony. I was looking at the LG, Sony and Samsung. And I decided to go with the Sony. This television far exceeds my expectations. The picture and color quality are amazing. After getting it home I did learn that I needed to upgrade my cable service. And the sound is not bad for such a thin television. Overall I couldn't be happier. You will not regret it.

Went to BB and saw both Oled and 900e next to each other. For me, I did not see much of a difference to spend the extra thousand dollars for Oled. If they were the same price or close, then I would have leaned with the Oled but I purchased this tv open box for $1,269.00 no tax(NH)...I had to jump on it. I watch a lot of sports, play on the ps4 pro, and watch netflix. This tv is an excellent choice for those options, especially in a bright room as mine.I also have an android and use the android tv app and it works amazingly. I use the mic button to navigate me through the apps or switch inputs right away. I also you google play music/spotify on my phone to play music on the tv which also has an external surround sound connected. It has full array local dimming and deep blacks. For the price range, you won't regret it. Only downside is that it does not have Dolby vision, but I can care less about it since most apps support hdr10, which looks awesome already.

I bought this tv instead of a Samsung that I was originally going to purchase. The key factors that I liked about this tv was how it was back lit instead of edge lit. It gives the tv much brighter picture and way deeper blacks because of this. It was a noticeable difference over the Samsung. The picture quality is great nd even the sound isn't to bad. I would def recommend this tv to anyone looking for something in this price range.

I bought the 65xbr900E to replace a SXRD set that finally gave up. I looked at the 850E, but decided the local dimming was too important to do without. The Samsung QLED sets were nice, but too expensive for what you get. The 900E looked great in the store, but once it was delivered and I set the picture to Cinema Pro, I was amazed at the stunningly deep blacks and realistic colors. I got it the first Saturday of the Olympics, and really enjoyed the next two weeks. I am still learning about all the streaming features, and haven't watched the free 4k/HDR movie yet, but some 4k demos on YouTube have been breathtaking. I will probably eventually get a 800X or 700X UHD Blu-ray player to feed it the best quality pictures. I have a 5.1 system, so I don't use the speakers in the set. All in all l am very pleased with my choice. I got a great deal with a price match, and I am sure that I will still be enjoying my 900E long after I forget what I paid for it.

Sony's operations manual that came with the product, sucks! there is no detailed information on any of the advanced features with this product. Such as the voice command feature, the yellow, blue, red & green buttons on the remote plus others. Looking for additional information on this Sony product online I've found to be of little help. I'm glad I'm tech savvy, because if you're not, you're in trouble. Sony needs to realize that not all people have tech knowledge. It's Sony's responsibility to see to it that their products are ease to understand and operate.
