TV is just fine for the price. 1 star removed due to Sony soundbar blocking IR receiver. Had to raise TV behind sound bar.

Excellent picture quality and detail in dark areas. Researched many smart TVs and decided on this one due to good price point and best picture. True smart tv that runs on Android platform and Google Play. Very accessible and love having many apps I use daily built in without need to have another device hooked up to tv

We purchased this 4K Sony 65 inch to replace an older 240hz 55" LED HDTV which still works like new. The 65 inch size screen works better in our new home. The colors are definitely brighter on the new screen. Even playing our existing Blue Rays on the new Sony 4K seems to be a whole new viewing experience. We don't have cable or satellite, so I do have to remember that the picture is only as good as the reception I'm getting from our local TV stations.

Picture is great. I had 3 pixels (out of about 8.3 million) that were continuously dark due to dust or default in the LCD. Only barely visible if I'm looking for it on a pure white screen at about 5 feet or less from the TV (not worth hassle of returning). Only problem is that it only has a 10/100 Network card (search on avsforum.com) which means that if you're trying to get high bitrate video streamed from your network at full 4K blu-ray quality, it isn't going to happen unless maybe you are a network engineer with a high end NAS and router optimally configured. Even with an optimized network, the wired LAN network speeds achievable are slower than the Wifi speeds for this TV. A USB 3.0 SSD attached to the TV works well for obtaining the 4K high bitrate video, but with each movie about 50GB or more, it gets to be expensive to store them that way and not convenient for a network. An external player such as NVIDIA shield or 4K Bluray player would work fine. I also have the 65xbr850C (not HDR) and the display on the 900E has a much higher contrast (darker blacks and brighter whites).

I’m in love with my new Sony 65” television. The quality is just amazing. We had thanksgiving at my house and everyone was just amazed at the picture this television gives out. It feels like I’m at the movie theater. I’m happy that I️ bought this television. Very impressed with the quality.

I love my new 900 series Sony TV it is a really great tv and has a beautiful picture and tons of APPS and is relatively easy to use,The only reason it did not get a 5 Star rating is I have yet to find the sleep timer on the tv to set it to shut off on my time schedule and not have to wait for it to put it’s self to sleep

Love this Tab! Top quality image detail, colors, and blacks. Paired with an Xbox One S 4K player = home theatre heaven.

We read reviews of all the top of line or near top of line flat screens. This one was rated only slightly below the much more expensive OLED models. We were prepared to purchase an OLED TV, but the demo being shown in the store was so dark that the TV seemed unwatchable. The reverse was true of the QLED TV's; the demos were so washed out they were unwatchable. This Sony had a great pic in the store, and we've been very pleased with the quality in our home. An unexpected benefit has been the 'upconversion' of lower quality images. Our internet speed is quite limited, and low quality streaming images now look much better on this TV. Very pleased with this TV.

The picture quality is good when view in a semi dark room. With ambient lights, you will see glares. The built-in speakers are okay for normal dialogue but you would want to add a soundbar for better audio experience. The menu is somewhat confusing, hard to find what I needed but overall happy with the purchase.

This is the best HDR 4K TV I could find at the 65 inch screen size considering the price point. If you are going to get a nicer/more expensive screen than this, you may as well go OLED.

I'm pleased with the Geek Squad installation. The TV has a great picture, a very significant upgrade from my previous 46" LCD Sony. The smart TV capability has been great so far.

My first 4k tv, i’m very happy with this tv. But it’s disconnected from wifi after a while. Don’t know how to fix it.

This has been the TV I’ve ever got so far. Image quality is on point and the HDR engine is awesome. Pair it with a nice home theater and is like being on a actual movie theater.

I really wanted to love this TV. I've purchased several Sony TVs in the past and love the picture. The picture quality of this TV didn't disappoint...until day 4. There were issues with this TV right out of the box. The first thing you should know is that the plug on this TV is one very large brick. When I say brick, it is literally the size of a brick. Another issue is the operating system. It is an Android based operating system and so slow that it is unusable. We connected our TV directly to our modem with internet speeds of 115 mbps and we could not use the smart features as the TV would buffer for very long periods and eventually time out. This wasn't a deal breaker for us because we planned to use an Apple TV anyway. Another issue was the ridiculous outdated dinosaur remote. It's awful! Still, we liked the picture quality and decided to purchase a separate remote. Then....on day 4, the TV input stopped receiving a signal. After several factory resets....still no signal. Our experience with Best Buy Returns: We returned the TV without an issue and purchased a different brand from another store as Best Buy did not have it in stock. At the same time, we purchased a Linksys Velop system which turned out to have a defective node and kept crashing. Linksys customer service instructed us to return the defective system. We returned the Linksys Velop system and purchased another Linksys router which also had issues. As stated previously, our internet speed is 115 mbps. The second router would only reach speeds of 32-34 mbps. So, we returned the second router and received a warning from Best Buy that we had too many returns within a 30 day period. Seriously? All three products were defective. Two of them completely failed within days!

Great picture and easy setup. The stand is sturdy unlike some others. Salesperson was helpful and knowledgeable, too.

The Sony 65 inch XBR65X900E is a great TV. The picture has outstanding color and clarity. I have bought Sony TV's for many years and this TV again proves why I keep buying Sony. The only thing I can bring up that is not positive is the sound from the speakers on the TV. The sound is weak, so a soundbar is a must for this TV. Lucky for me, I already had a Sony soundbar on my prior Sony TV and hooked it up to the new TV and it works great.

Got this Sony after returning Samsung and Lg. The Sony blows the other two away! Picture is so much sharper and colors are awesome.Did not really make many adjustments on tv yet have it on standard and looks great very bright. Had to have Lg on vivid and still not as good. The build quality of the set is much better then the other two...better stand and like the android with google. Watched a couple 4K movies streaming and they are awesome. Sound is not bad for large flatscreen but I do use sound bar for movies and sports. Should have spent the extra from the start...Sony makes a great Tv..Buy it on sale you will be very happy!
