So, my next set was already going to be OLED - the question was LG (who makes most of the panels), Panasonic, or Sony. Well, LGs are good to very good, the Panasonics aren’t for sale in the US, and Sony just crushes it with A8F. OOTB, the Cinema Pro setting is close to perfect. DO check the write-up and settings on rtings.com and Sony’s PDFs on their site - there’s a LOT of control available on this set. I have a TiVo Bolt 4K and an Apple TV 4K connected to the ARC ports with UHD cables. I do pass through on the TiVo...the upscaler in the Sony is stupidly good. For Apple TV 4K, it WILL use Dolby Vision, which is impressive, but I ended up setting both TV and Apple TV for HDR @ 4:2:2 Chroma. Wow. Netflix, Vudu, and Amazon Prime Video all have 4K content in decent quantities now. ITunes did the 4K ‘free’ conversion on purchased movies. The Incredibles in 4K is just amazing. Not using the onboard speakers, but the sound is very good if you do use them. No dead pixels, no banding, no sparkles...just a beautiful pictire that lessens the blow of losing the plasma.

They didn't check and control TV professionally and it has a lot of dead pixels which didn't say before purchase. The TV was not cleaned at all there is a bunch of dust everywhere. Does not have a box and even remote control. The wall mounting screws were missing also. I'm totally disappointed with Best Buy Certified purchases.
