The interface to the TV is different - took me a while but I got the TV to communicate with both my DirectvDVR and my Surround receiver but once set ip, it works well. The streaming services built into this TV are very good as is the interface to them. I would recommend this tv to a non beginner since the setup can be complicated but worth it if you take the time and get it done.

The sound is awful but the picture and operating system are great. It’s fast, powerful, and a really fantastic machine. You’re going to want a sound bar, but that’s a given. Full array would have been nice but the price difference between the 800 and 900 wasn’t worth the full array.

Lots of options because the OS is Android TV which plays well with all the Google Home product in the house. My one gripe is regarding a volume glitch that occurs when streaming Netflix (hadn't noticed it elsewhere yet). If you rewing at all and then resume, no sound. You have to close and reopen Netflix. Not the worst thing for me but my partner or either of our parents wouldn't be able to get it to work again easily.

This TV require some settings adjustments for optimal viewing which can be cumbersome for some. The reason I have given four stars is the issue while watching sports such as football or cricket, This tv shows at least two images of the fast moving balls which can be irritating. I have tried all possible adjustments but have not worked.

On the supplied TV remote, press the HOME button.
Select the Settings or gear icon.
Under the TV category, select Picture & Display or Display & Sound.
Select Picture adjustments.
Select Advanced settings.
Select Motion.
If your TV has the CineMotion setting, set it to Low or Off.
Select Motionflow.
Select Off.

Picture is stunning. Love the new HD viewing on this model. Doesn’t lose that cinema look. Paired up easily with cox cable box and system. Optimized the tv for best sound and picture. Strong speakers for our place so no need for additional speakers or sound bar.
