Sony 65 X800H TV

Ok picture quality

This is an old model compared to Sony's new QLED models. Dont think the price was fair for the quality. The remote control batteries from Sony were defective!! LOL.

Only worked for 8 days!

When we were first setting it up, it shut off midway through the initial setup. We got it to turn back on right after, so we shrugged it off. It worked fine after that up until today. We watched it in the morning for a while. When we tried to watch it in the evening, it wouldn’t turn on. We unplugged it, tried different outlets, checked the remote, and tried the button on the television. Nothing worked. Maybe it was defective from the factory. I emailed Sony, so it’s a waiting game for now. If they can’t resolve the issue, I will be returning it.

Tv itself is great

Don’t buy

Watch news, etc. for 5 minutes, turn the channel, lines are still visible on the bottom of the screen from the previous channel .. last tv I buy from Best Buy. A quick search shows that it’s a problem with this brand and of course it’s too late to return it.

Sony Bravia TV

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needed two software updates right out of the box kick me out of 4k on my Roku ultra every time I was pushed from TV to home had to return it spent $60 in gas for nothing buyers beware of this TV is defective right out of the box if you stream with a Roku ultra you will find out it will not even stream in 4K resolution at least my TV did not so beware if you buy the 800 series Bravia TV or the 950 series Broadview TV they have the same problems sound quality update and also video quality update so check your TV if you have either one of these models and they don't bother to tell you that before you buy them and Best Buy needs a longer return policy cuz if I had a little bit longer time I might be able to download it to my thumb drive with my son's computer and fix the issue but Sony does not even have any knowledge of the 4K resolution being downgrading from switching back and forth when I first set up the TV and go straight to my Roku it shows 1340 times 2180 16.9 Dolby vision Adobe Atmos and it shows HDMI one

Disappointed

Also black screen and not turning on. Customer service had me do a factory reset which helped. I've needed to do it several times since or unplug and replug. Each time it really helps but always returns.

Spend a few dollars more for something else

Has many "smart" functions, but the picture wasn't what I would call quality 4K by any means. This model also has a known sound glitch with no fix for quite some time. The sound intermittently cuts out. Eventually returned for one with a faster processor and am much happier.

Fuzzy sound

Keep the TV away from electrical noise sources such as cars, hair-dryers, Wi-Fi units, mobile phones, or optical devices. When installing an optional device, leave some space between the device and TV. Set [Audio filter] to [Low] or [High] to improve sound for analog reception. ([Audio filter] may not be available depending on your region/country.)

Do not recommend

What bothers me most is that it’s so dark. I allowed the employees at Best Buy (both employees said they owned this TV) to talk me into getting this TV instead of the one that was recommended when I researched.
