    Sony USED to be a reliable product.

    We bought this TV just 5 months ago and it already stopped working. I get sound and no picture. I've spent an hour on the phone with tech support to no avail after being hung up on twice by the first tech support!! Now I have to wait another 3 days for the "engineers" to call. No notice of WHEN they might call nor any assurances that it can be fixed. I have NO way to haul this 65" TV to some service repair place. DO NOT BUY SONY.

    I've owned many Sony tv's and owned the Stock for years. This tv is garbage. It constantly freezes / reboots. I've done all the tech stuff (reboot, clear cache, factory reset) and nothing fixed it. I can only assume google is to blame. I am so disappointed. A tree hit my house in hurricane Ida and my old sony tv (KD-50X690E) got rained on for 3 days and works fine. The band new one in perfect shape? Trash. I am seriously debating mailing it to Sony HQ.

    Worked good at first, but doesn't last

    I have had this TV just over a year and 7 months and it won't turn on. Used it just last night to watch TV with no problems, nothing that would lead me to think there was anything wrong. Tried everything sony support suggested, but nothing. I'm thus being referred to a preferred service center to have to pay to get my tv fixed.

    Don't buy Sony

    I have had nothing but trouble with this tv. No sound on start up sometimes until I reset the tv. The audio and video stutter when watching live tv and voice and picture ho out of sync sometimes. All my recorded shows from my Tivo dvr and Sling tv are out of sync. Sony support has been unable to fix this and have been impossible to work with as all they do everytime is try the same things and do not listen.

    Let down again buy their TV's

    If i could rate this a broken star I would. This tv was a dud out of the box, and the tech even said "well, it doesn't surprise me. out of all of the sony's that is returned, we get this one the most" My response to that was "Awesome. I'll just get the Samsung instead!" Issue with it was it would freeze during the initial setup, and the only way to progress was to turn it off and turn it back on again. Once I finally made it to the end, I checked for a firmware update with no luck...

Making sure that you have a stable internet connection also advisable. You can either skip the update and perform it at a later time by selecting LATER or update the software during the initial setup by selecting UPGRADE NOW. If you select UPGRADE NOW, the update will begin downloading.

    Not Good. The IPS panel that Sony decided to use for this TV makes the color black appear as gray. It was very disappointing, Get the Samsung Q70T instead, or spend a little more and get the Samsung Q80T. The are both much better than this piece of crap

    I bought this tv trying to upgrade my Vizio and it was a mistake. Tv would turn off and the led in the middle would blink. I contacted Sony about it and they just told me to troubleshoot it. After that didn't work I reached to them again and I was ignored. I've never had an issue with my previous TV VIZIO. Never will I buy a Sony again.

    We bought This tv as an open box and we’re so excited but we brought it home and immediately it started having a screen problem so we ended up bringing it back and buying a Hisense quantum tv which we love!

    A bright flash will occur when I'm watching TV. It also shut off completely on it's own. Geek Squad came to my home to adjust the volume to sync with my TV and the problem could not be adjusted or fixed. Not to happy at this time.

      For picture-related issue:



      Kindly turn the TV off, unplug it from power for 2 minutes, plug it back in and turn it on after.

      Check if the issue is happening on all Sources or if the connected device causes the issue.



      For TV turning off by itself:



      Make sure that the Software is up to date

      Check if the power cord is firmly connected and that it is plug in all the way to the wall outlet

      Check if the Timer is turned on.

    Used to be good, but poor quality and support now

    Dead in 6 months! Called support 5 times, left voice mails. It over a week and haven't heard from anyone back yet. Sony used to very good, but it looks like it no different than the cheap one!
