Need to get converter for RCA to HDMI for DVR/VHS, etc. Sony is supposed to last 2twice as long as other TV's.......so this should work for 22 years.

Hard time to setup apps

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The only hard time is setting up the TV, because the tv wants you to have a Google TV channels lineup account, for it to work. It does not take just a generic Google email account. This took me days to go back and forth to get to the TV Google apps store to get what I wanted. For weeks, I had searched through every information online and also created an Google home account on my iPhone to be able get this setup on the TV. I believe that this is a normal TV for the general public, and it should never have to deal with this issue—it should automatically bypass to the setting up Google account whether you have Google TV channels lineup or not, to be able for you to access to the Google Apps Store, to get you to whatever Google apps you need, because your family already had subscription to those movie apps. If this is bought buy those who do not have the skills to do this it would be a detrimental for them to only able to watch a very basic of this TV.
