For a refreshing change, the menus are easy and snappy enough to load the apps you want to run without a shelf-load of random accessories. I could easily stick with the built-in apps rather than using a gaming console's apps. The picture is the main reason I bought this and it did not disappoint. The size of the device belies the lightness. I assembled it myself and was able to lift and install the feet, but I would have felt safer with a spare pair of hands to stead the TV during the process. The lightness and built in apps make a number of mounting / placement options available without running unsightly wires all over the place.

The should is fine for me without additional speakers or sound bar. I'm glad they helped me set up the GoogleTV part and I am still trying to learn it. I initially set it up with a fire stick 4k Max (it's response time on the fire stick remote was not at all or it ran past all the channels after it was connected for a while). I intended to access Youtube TV through the fire stick as I like the size of the remote so I don't know if it was the fire stick or the Youtube TV that caused the problems. I have an older Sony Bravia that is not Google the fire stick works seamlessly. But I will say that Google TV does not have an option to add the Youtube TV app so I have to search for it each time I turn the tv on.

I researched for weeks before deciding to pick the Sony. Money was not an issue in my decision I wanted decent picture and sound and decided on a lower level item with a good reputation that hopefully will last at least a couple years. My LG went black screen shortly after the one year warranty ended ( apparently like many others ) I learned LG has terrible customer service and no tech support. I hope this time I bought a product that serves the customer as it should and not a annual replacement unit.

She was very helpful and sorry about the situation. I would buy again because of the handling of the situation, most likely caused by BOH inventory software. The TV is great for the Sony price point. Clarity is excellent, color is bright and vivid. Blacks are good and deep enough for the array with adjustments on. Motion and such was better turned off. Not concerned about 120hz, so this unit was what I was looking for. Overall happy with purchase.

Good TV with Minor Issues

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just purchased this with the intent of returning the LG UP7000 I purchased a month ago due to some pretty bad edge lighting issues. I also own a 65" X900E so my expectayions were fairly high although tempered knowing the X900 is a significantly bettee TV. Generally I pretty pleased with the color of the picture. There are limitations with black level saturation but that is to be expected with this level of TV. There are still some edge lighting issues with this model, however theu are less noticeable than what I experienced with the UP7000. If using the TV in a well lit room while watching content that is not super dark, I believe this offees great value. But, if you want something with a superior picture and rich deep blacks with no flashlighting, spend the money and get a TV with full array local dimming.

Magnificent Mancave

Well, being able to stream on so many platforms watching sports, movies, shows, and news has been incredible. The picture is outstanding with both the soft yellow and bright white overhead lights. I do not need a sound bar, because my basement is acoustically set. I already own a Sony TV for the family room, so I had high expectations of the brand which continuously impresses. This is my first Smart TV and I am contemplating purchasing other ones throughout my home.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So far it has worked out great. it has an awesome picture, and bright beautiful vibrant colors. the only thing I don't care for, and I know it's not really the TV, it's the broadcasters, but why can't they broadcast a picture that fits on the screen. when I watch the news, printed words and pictures on the screen go off the left and right sides of the screen no matter what mode you have it set in. C'mon broadcasters get with the times! that's just like 4k and 8k, when will the broadcasters ever get to that point, they're barely at 1080p.

They already have the Sony 75 950 from the previous year and this one is almost as sharp. The only time you can tell the difference in dimming is in low light situations which is basically night time or with the window curtains drawn. But since it is a game room there is always a lot of light and this unit really shines with high contrast and especially on 4K HDR content. The sound is above standard for current TVs but still better when connected to an Atmos Soundbar or traditional Surround System.
